Hi, I am also facing same issue, if I connect bluetooth manually then Apple CarPlay doesn't play music.

Finally after trying lot of switch on/off found the solution. In my system there is CAR SETTINGS option in this I turned on "force to small speaker". Now I can hear all calls on Carplay only disadvantage it is using one small speaker of car.

I finally got it working. Simply remove the t-link app from navigation default app in the settings.

I'm glad you solved this. Basically the little program is helping bluetooth with pairing phone with other devices, also is adding signal strength bar and provider name.

Bluetooth bug.

When I connect to the car stereo, I set it to phone only, not media and it works fine, ouputting the sat nav voice via the phone. When I reconnect, it again connects both phone and media. It's driving me mad, any ideas?

I connect to my Parrot MKI9200 car kit and have no issues like this, it always connects for phone and voice from CoPilot comes out of the phone. I haven't changed any settings
That's interesting - does the parrot support music streaming? Could you check the settings of the connection please? If you tap and hold where it says Parrot, it shows which services are connected.

Just checked... The only part that is ticked is phone. Media is not ticked. As I don't stream media from my phone to my car kit, I don't want this ticked. If I tick the box, CoPilot alerts actually come out of the car speakers.

Yours works the way I want mine to. For some reason though, even if I turn off media, the next time it connects it will connect both media and phone. Weird.
Again, thanks for your help. I'd really like to find a solution to this, it's really annoying.
One thought - is yours a sim free one, T-Mobile or Orange? Mine is T-Mobile.

It's an Alpine 400bt, which is an add-on unit for Alpine stereo's, in my case a 9887r. The bluetooth unit is actually made by Parrot I believe.
It could be something to do with it, however it used to be OK using Windows Mobile.
another bluetooth question
I see you guys mentioning some bluetooth settings in the posts above - where are they found?
I have a problem that once connected to my car phone system by BT, the keypad in the car stops working which means I can't respond to voicemail etc. My other phone is a Touch HD which works fine.
Are there settings to select different profiles like you can with Win Mo?
I'm new to Android and all I can find are the HTC settings under Settings\Wireless Controls\Bluetooth Settings but these don't help
Thanks in advance
Edit: just reread and see I need to tap and hold the connection, so I'll try this later...

How to read SMS in car on head unit, from phone using bluetooth?

Ok so I have a 4.4.4 Pumpkin head unit and all stock so far.
I have a ROMed Galaxy S4, I have only a bluetooth connection in the car between the two devices.
I would like to somehow get the SMS on the phone and also be able to read it on the car head unit and respond via head unit?
Which app would suffice?
Would I need to have other connection between the two devices, if so which one?
Thanks
Try "Yaata" on your phone, it has a setting where it can read out the text messages when hooked up to Bluetooth which means hooked up to your car head unit it will actually say everything that comes in
With my back to the rise I'll make my stand

I believe this would require you to have the bluetooth app loaded and running to hear it, but I might be wrong.
I solved this problem with Pushbullet, but it requires some sort of tethered internet connection .

Did you have to use the older version of Pushbullet, or does the new one have android notification mirroring?

I upgraded back to the full version, and don't see that option. Is that just in the pro version?
In my version 17.7.9, (called "Pushbullet - SMS on PC" in the store,) if I click the 'hamburger' menu, then click SMS, I am presented with some option switches which include 1) "SMS Sync" and 2) "Show SMS notifications from other devices on this device." Enable both on your phone, then do the same on your head unit.
Tablet Talk would do exactly this. I use it to do this exact thing over bluetooth between my phone and my tablet so I can respond to SMS, etc without taking my phone out and just using my tablet.

Verizon Wear24 Bluetooth issue on android wear2.0 :Microphone is not working on watch

Recently got this watch and Bluetooth was working fine in 1.5 version. the microphone on watch stopped working after android wear 2.0 update.
Looks like the software glitch. This watch discontinued by the Verizon. Is there a way to fix the issue through ADB or some other mean?
+1

Does your microphone still work for Google Assistant?
yes the microphone still works for OK Google type stuff but it doesn't work as a bluetooth headset profile. You can hear them but they cannot hear you. Checked the log cat and it seems that there is a bluetooth stack issue.

yes and it does not make a difference
Hello, just bought a wear24 and after AW2.0 upgrade microphone Works For Voice To Text When Messaging But Not For Phone Calls Over Blueooth. Is There A setting For This Or Is It Aw2.0 Bug Or Wear24 Issue?
Also when I swipe down from the watch face to view the quick menu (eg. settings, airplane mode selection, etc.) at the bottom there are icons next to the battery level icon that indicate bluetooth is not connected (cloud with line through it) when indeed BT is connected. The watch face does indicat correctly when BT disconnects and connects. Is this typical with the Wear24? Another bug?
sounds like its a profile issue, based on other comments. No idea how to help, however.
I have the same problem. Microphone works with OK google or when I dictate a message but it doesn't work when I make a call. The other person can't hear me. Any help would be appreciated. I didn't try it before the android 2.0 update. Just bought the watch 1 week ago
Interesting... I've made a call to my house phone through the watch and my wife could hear me fine. I was talking into it like I was James Bond though, maybe that made a difference? Also she said it sounded just like as if I was on my phone and no I didn't activate the SIM.

Was your phone near by? My watch comes tomorrow, so I can't test this myself yet. But it seems the issue is that the watch is being recognized as Bluetooth headphones and not a Bluetooth headset.
Also are you on AW 1.5? Apparently 2.0 broke it. Not sure if it's been fixed as of 2.8.

My phone was on my couch and I was in the kitchen so it was about 18ft away.
AW version is 2.8. however my phone doesn't show the watch as a headset within the Bluetooth menu. In fact it doesn't show it being connected.
Did figure something else out though and I can't receive incoming calls. It doesn't notify me at all for calls. Other than that everything seems to work as should... I'm going to keep fiddling

Yes it is. But I do have an update...
This morning I did a factory reset. I let everything update first after setup. This time I disabled the SIM first before doing anything else. Now I have all the functionality but I too now have an issue with the microphone, but only in the case of using the watch as a phone. But I now can control incoming calls. So the only functionality I lost was using the watch as a phone. Honestly I have no use case for that but I do have a use case for ignoring phone calls which I now have...
As for what the difference is... Only thing I can think of is enabling the SIM which apparently gives you access to another app, probaby Verizon specific, which handles phone calls, walking through that configuration but not activating the SIM, you know the 5/month thing I was able to make calls through the watch using the microphone but beware the notifications were wonky also you lose your ability to intercept incoming calls.
Sorry if that was kind of confusing. I'm on my.ohone at work and trying to provide as much detail as quick as possible.

Thanks for the reply. I thought the problem is not with Verizon. Seems like is just the software issue from Google. Hope it will get fixed.

No problem. Honestly if I can figure out the name of that app within the system apps I might be able to give it permission just for the microphone and then maybe just maybe we could use the watch like James Bond. Not sure though I may try when I get home.

Pioneer SPH-8TAB-BT

Hi all, the Pioneer SPH-8TAB-BT is brand new and decided to open a topic about it.
First issue I have that there is no call-out button in the software, while if I am dialing a number on my phone, there is a screen that shows who I am calling.
Second, is there any other FM app that could work. The stock one is too ugly.
I found out voice dialing works if you update PSS in the Google Play Store, but there is no Bluetooth dialer app yet

Would be better to ask in a Pioneer forum.
The unit you got is too seldom at XDA. Seems that this is a real tablet just with a connector to the head unit.
No one knows what´s in there.

Seriously??? You are kidding us, are you?
A car device without phone call possibility???
I would send this bull**** back wherever it comes from.... sorry, but this is not acceptable.
Just mounting a tablet on some mysterious radio without necessary functionality is not ready for sale.
OMG...
I agree, but other than that the device is great.
Anybody here who already has the device?
