First I built from 1.1B02 to 1.3 and modified boot image according to this method [1] and made these modifications [2].
Next, built from 1.3 to 1.4 and used your boot img.
I've just tested 1.4 a little for now, and my zte open never hangs on 1.3.

I've followed this tutorial [1] (built from 1.1 to 1.3, set BRANCH=v1.3 instead of v1.2 in the script) and have modified boot.img according to the 2 links [2] and [3] mentioned before.

This image works great. At least as far as I have tested. Much snappier than 1.1, 1.2.
Could I ask (beg) you to compile a japanese version?
I'm giving a talk in Japan on JavaScript in about a month and I was hoping to show off this device.
I'd really appreciate it if you could do this for me.
I believe the information contained here may be helpful: ... 8 / I cannot post links as a newbie...

Could you point me in the right direction?
My own builds of b2g have been less than successful. The closest I've gotten was to get a unstable versions installed.
you may want to have a look at neuralassembly . blogspot . com (can't post links....) its in japanese and he explains how to build a japanese enabled version for Samsung Galaxy S3, you'll have to adapt that but i guess at least you will be able to read it without google translate
hope this is helpful to you.

Thanks, I can and have compiled for this device. The tricky parts are finding a version that is stable enough to use. And getting all of the right proprietary drivers. And there may be some other unknown(s) that I'm messing up. The version you've posted tells me the git version so that's 1 of the 2 major foreseeable obstacles.
Call me a conspiracy nut, but what's the big deal with closed source drivers on cell phones? So what if the public finds out how to write to a screen or send communication over the radio. Technically we can already write to small lcd screens with adrino parts and communicate over the air with shortwave. And yet every single phone out there is closed, even the Maemo was partially closed. I don't see any legitimate reason for this other than some giant conspiracy by large corporations. Either the ma bells don't want us using the air-waves for free or the governments of the world don't want us not being tracked. And I suppose it's a lot of both.
well, it was just an example on how to get japanese working on the device, not really a cookbook.
for the building i guess you should follow the instructions on Mozilla developer network.
they have a page dedicated to the ZTE Open.
mine will arrive maybe next week, so i cant really build yet, since the phone has to be connected for the build to proceed.
and i am fine with it being in english, even though my native language is german, but i always change the language to english (must be an IT thing with me)

There are some official ZTE versions out there with fastboot disabled. B06 is safe. But be careful to read about other user experiences before you upgrade.

As far as I am aware when ZTE first released the 1.1 Firefox OS update through their website it was released without fastboot enabled. This however was a mistake, so they took those files down and re-uploaded newly compiled versions of the same Firefox OS 1.1 but with fastboot enabled. :good:
thanks for the warnings, i have read about that and i think it is even stated on the MDN.
i think because of this there is also a lot of misunderstandings, as i do not think you need a hacked boot.img if your phone has fastboot enabled already.
well i guess i will find out when it arrives, as i want to upgrade at least to 1.3
this wont be my daily use device, i just want to see where FXOS stands and is developing to.
if i like it i guess i would go for a more mid-level device (like a Alcatel Fire E/S or the new not yet announced higher spec ZTE)
my only gripe here is that sony doesnt seem to move on and release their FXOS phone, and the support with Alcatel was a bit patchy so far from what you read.
it would be nice if all of the FXOS phones had the possibility to be used as Dev-devices.

I am not the creator/uploader of this post but I have installed it multiple times and know a little bit about this kind of thing It is a pre-release version so it is far from being complete or "stable"... I would not suggest using this build for daily use as there is no guarentee everything will work correctly even if it does for someone else, but for testing and/or restoring a bricked (broken phone) it is perfect.

There are two ways,
1. Flashing Fastboot rom from mi forum will relock your Boot loader.
2. From the above mentioned tutorial, backup the original "fastboot flash aboot emmc_appsboot.mbn" file and it will relock the bootlader. optionally, you can try "fastboot oem lock" command as well.

On POST 3, I have given the link to the complete process and it works perfectly.
So, barely, its like, flashing 7.1.7 or 7.1.8 version with CHANGED MBN file. (MBN file is the main file which will allow unlocking from Fastboot command)
After flashing with changed MBN file, run the FASTBOOK OEM UNLOCK_GO command to unlock the file.
Then, u can check FASTBOOT OEM DEVICE-INFO to check the status. Then, flash other OS like CM12/13 or Qualcommn rom.
If u want MIUI os then, use FASTBOOT command to flash TWRP and reboot to TWRP. Then, download RECOVERY ZIP file and with WINZIP replace MBN and Changed BOOTLOADER (TWRP) file and then flash that file in TWRP. These steps are like an overview of the process, if u want more info, u can google it or check, MI forum
Hey guys I'm thinking of buying this phone the 32gb/3gb SD650 version to be specific and it's nice it's getting a custom roms just like the mtk version. How's the CM12/13 roms as for now overall? Stability, battery you know.. are these roms suitable for daily use? Btw now I have a K3 Note.
Custom ROMs are at very early stage and are not suitable for daily usage. As the kernel drivers are already out, we hope stable version will come soon... Qualcomm factory ROM is stable but feels slow...
Subbed and rated. Thanks for updating ^^
Direct Link to OTA for 7.2.3 is updated in first post. If anyone didnot get the OTA, download 190+MB zip file and put zip file in folder: /internalstorage/downloaded_rom/ Then, updater to update to new version of stock.

Nope, u ll not brick your phone. I have done that and it works flawlessly... I have unlocked bootloader and installed Qualcomm and CM12 roms and again flashed stock OTA via MI updater app. I didnt have any problem.
Although its not for novice users, in most of the cases, hardware bricking a phone is almost not possible, unless, u try to play directly with hardware. And, softbrick will easily be recoverable(Well u need a PC and drivers for sure)... its just like, when u r not able to run the OS in your phone, then, repair shop guy will just flash the stock rom and will give it back to you.... Just, thats what we are doing with MI updater. As mentioned earlier, this may not be for normal user...
Anyway, Thread 2 updated with new tutorial on How to flash OTAs without relocking your phone...
I compiled resurrection remix for the gionee elife e7 for a friend, but he can not provide the phone to me for a few days. Till i can reach him, i will post my work here for anyone to test. Here is the mega link: https://mega.nz/#!N8QHQaqL!ffOYw0oT-_SchfHmknuQhXVoDIwBj6iRhJyHlMD2ovg .
This rom is untested, use at you own risk and backup anything important first, including your efs partitions. It should work with twrp 2.8.7.0 or 3.0.0.0(recommended). This rom was made possible by the work of mkursadulusoy, Ravikirancg, feroxxx, and MertUslu . What i did is download their omnirom sources, fix them to be compiled properly with cyanogenmod 13 sources and compiled them. They deserve all the credit for their hard work. Their sources are here: https://github.com/feroxx/ . Hope this rom boots at least and then i can work to fix bugs(maybe even camera).
New builds will be available here: https://mega.nz/#F!IpBFGbAK!ovhrSbnyuOkYL4pa4gtWXw . Hope i can get a device for testing soon.
thanx a lot man i'll test em.. i have the device lying here..

Full wipe, clean install, the other Rom of feroxxx, same problem.
In the other, the first Rom, Omni logo normally starts but could not boot the system, he stayed on the screen "Starting Android"
The first rom, which is lollipop or marshmallow? Thanks for the kmsg, it seems stuck on the wlan initialization, could be something that feroxxx did that broke the original build. If you can find a working build on omnirom, i would prefer marshmallow, because if the only working build are lollipop,i would have to sync lollipop source, another 20 gb for me . If you can find a working build, i could find the offending commits and revert them to get my build booting as well. I am still a newbie in development(learning fast though!) but working with a device you dont own is a total nightmare. i will upload a new marshmallow build soon, hope some can test it as well.
Marshmallow Rom for your question.
A few months ago, we tested two roms, one Cyanogenmod and other Marshmallow, had the same problem with the wifi, it started correctly, but when connecting to wifi was blocked, and the only solution was to hold down the power button to restart. He had published feroxxx.
Thanks, and what exactly is the filename of the rom? I can deduce the changes in the github if I know when the last working build was compiled.

No, it is for p1 not for our phone. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24352994023710016 this should boot up as far as I remember. But I think that lollipop resources should be used because marshmellow is not completed. It has some problems like sdcard, wifi.

For Mediatek Devices it is pretty easy because if you manage to build a ROM for a device that has its software made by the same company who did the same software for another device (i hope this sentence is clear), then you can build a ROM for both devices with just some minor changes.

I'll just reply here for the last time, it is OT, but still useful for development
When there is no kernel source code, i use the prebuilt kernel image (included with the Stock ROM), while everything else gets compiled (excluding proprietary files required to handle the hardware).

i bought phone from banggood came with offical outdated software, so i will never get update.the only rom with update is 20170621. the rom that we have here 6gb version, hope someone will provide rom 20170621 for 4gb version.
many thanks
I'm also wondering about ROMs for the 4gb version of the phone? Have they updated that to the same level as the 6gb ROM? I thought the specs were identical apart from the extra 2gb of memory??

"Can you do" doesn't exist yet.
It is only the Stock ROM provided by DOOGEE directly, not something I made. You have to ask DOOGEE if you want other variants, then provide me the link.
Ah okay, i thought this was the pure stock Android Rom without Doogee "bloat".... Do you think there will be a lineage Version in future?

It does, I have flashed it on my own MIX.
How did you flash it with SP Flash Tools?
When i connect and try it says BROM ERROR: STATUS_BROM_CMD_SEND_DA_FAIL(0xC0060003)
What does it mean.
I installed drivers for MT67xx and latest SP Flash Tool
I have my phone turned off and when i connect (after clicking download in SP Flash Tool) it says the error.
Hi guys, i'm pretty novice about all of this and i dont speak english a lot, i have a problem with my new DOOGEE MIX (6gb i think), i tried to uninstall the "DOOGEE OS" many times but i failed all time. There is a cat/gameboy on my screen and i cant remove them, maybe i can find an issue here. Thank a lot in advance and have a good day !

For those who haven't installed a custom ROM before, I've written up a simple guide which will walk you through all the steps you need to perform to get one working on the X2 Pro.
https://gg-help.web.app/realme/x2-pro
This will walk you through unlocking the bootloader, flashing OrangeFox, flashing the Custom ROM (in this case AOSiP), and reverting to ColorOS or realme UI if you want to.
This guide shows the steps needed if coming from ColorOS or realme UI. Make sure to select the right Android version at the top of the guide to make sure the instructions are correct for your device.
Note: following this guide may also allow you to convert a Chinese device to Global (following unlock, then orangefox flash, then skip to reverting to ColorOS). The same steps can also be used to downgrade from realme UI to ColorOS if desired.
Also, should be obvious but I'm not taking any responsibility if you break your device by following these steps. There's always a risk, and even following these steps exactly could cause strange situations. If you have any issues, come and ask on the realme Discord server as I'm way more active there than I am here.
Credit to @gamr13 for the original guide that I converted.
Amazing guide dude, my RMX1931 CN with latest Realme UI version, worked great now with AOSIP.
Thanks!

I too have the CN version of the Realme x2 Pro and I started the guide and already got stuck just after I started the in-depth testing. When I input the command 'adb reboot bootloader' I'm getting 'error: dvice '(null)' not found. I did all the ADB driver and fastboot installs and have been trying every thing I can find on the internet to fix this. Seeing that this all worked for you, woud you have any idea what I could be doing wrong or missing? Thanks in advance.
Convertion from CN Rom to Global Version
I would like to know a in depth steps how to convert my CN phone to Global. Sorry, just new on this matter.

We're trying to work out if this is possible.
It should be (if we edit the OZIP to allow it to be installed on global devices) but you might be stuck with an unlocked bootloader and custom recovery, meaning L3 DRM.

Could you tell me further procedure to replace to GLOBAL ROM from CN?
I got an error like below when I use GLOBAL OZIP (RMX1931EX_11.C.27).
Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
Are you installing onto the correct device?
Search online for error 7.

The guide is for flashing the AOSiP custom ROM. No ozip file is needed.

I faced same situation. One possible reason is that your PC isn't properly installed the drivers due to unsigned driver install prevention by Windows.
I used Windows 10's "Test mode" to install it, then adb worked fine. I hope you use Windows PC and this helps you.

It doesn't work yet. The update OZIP file needs to be modified to allow it to be flashed on Chinese devices.

An OZIP is needed to flash the right firmware, since the firmware zips have been removed from AFH.

Olá, estou com realme X2 pro ( versão chinesa, 1931) preciso de ajuda para obter idioma português BR, alguém pode me ajudar, sabem se dá para de alguma forma eu por versão global nele? Desde já agradeço a atenção e ajuda.
Fingerprint unlock
Hello, thanks a lot for your guide much appreciated.
Is there any way to unlock the phone with the fingerprint reader when the screen is off? I can't get it to work.
Thanks
Lineage OS and AOSiP just released updated ROMs based off of realme UI that has the fingerprint on while the screen is off.
