Please HELP ME!
I am on OOS 2.1.1, rooted and TWRP 2.8.7
installed.
I need to update to OOS 3.5.6.
Can soneone tell me the steps of flashing the
ROM and by which TWRP. And which data to clear.
Basically mention all the steps.
Please...
I will thank you 1000 times.
But please do help me.
Simply download the full 1.2GB OS 3.5.6 zip and flash it in recovery. Before you flash be sure to wipe ALL these folders in twrp : Dalvik, System, Data and Cache.
After wiping then you can flash the zip.
First of all flash latest twrp in twrp recovery than reboot recovery.now you could flash oxygen os 3.5.6 full zip.
I would suggest you to do following steps.
1. Flash OxygenOS 3.1.0 full rom by wiping all except internal storage.
2. Flash latest TWRP 3.0.2-2 from official twrp website. Becoz you won't be able to use old twrp on 3.0.1
3. Flash OxygenOS 3.5.6 full rom by wiping all in twrp except internal storage.
You can get the full roms in xda, spannaa has created a thread.
Note: Keep in mind that when you will uodate from oos 2.2 to oos 3.1 your bootloader will change so you will need latest twrp after installing oos 3.1.0 & when you will uodate from 3.1.0 to 3.5.6 your modem will change. So follow the steps exactly.
Flash Full rom OxygenOS 3.5.6

Yes, but last TWRP is necessary, i installed OxygenOS 3.5.5 in TWRP, change to Stock Recovery and update from OTA, but Full ROM can be installed directly from TWRP, Wipe Caché, Data and System is necessary
Hey,
My Mi A1 have TWRP, Magisk, and bootloader unlocked on Android 8.1.0, but I want to upgrade to Android 9 and go back to full stock device (bootloader lock and original TWRP), my question is, what i need to do before ? Just flash with miflash latest rom and check clean all and lock or I need to go back to stock on Android 8.1.0 and do ota update to Android 9 ?
Thanks )
You can wipe everything in twrp and then flash this

Then you can lock it.
Just make a twrp backup and save it to your sdcard or computer , just in case.

Thanks, so in TWRP I check all in wipe (dalvik, data, internal, cache and system)? And after that I mount data and drop the rom with USB and flash it ?
And after that i'll not have TWRP anymore ?
I try this, this monday
Hello everybody
So this is weird asf..
So I got Mi 9T with MIUI 10.3.7 EEA stock rom. TWRP and Magisk flashed. I wanted to update MIUI to the latest 10.3.12 and I found a method online to update via TWRP by flashing the new MIUI stock rom then flashing a zip "Lazyflasher-no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip".
I backed up (system, data, boot) and then wiped (sys, data, catch, dal/art), then flashed the newer MIUI rom, then Lazyflasher zip. But I got an error installing Lazyflasher. So I wiped and restored my backup and the device booted into system. But then I discovered that the system is acting crazy. Fingerprint, wifi, all sensors aren't working.. etc.
I tried re-restoring my back ups, and tried wiping Dalvil/Art cache, Data and, Cache (TWRP factory rest) but nothing changed.
I'm considering flashing stock room but I don't want to lose bootloader unlocking and wait again.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
This is my first Oneplus device and I just realized that in this device, in order to flash Custom Roms, you need to have a OOS installed beforehand plus not wiping /System partition.
So I was wondering which one is the best and quickest way to do a clean and fresh install from scratch, with the less amount of stuff from previous roms since wiping /System will end up on a bootloop.
Would it be something like this:
Starting from fresh and clean OOS latest version:
-Wipe /Data /Cache /Internal
-Flash Rom + kernel (optional) + TWRP
-Reboot recovery
-Flash Gapps + Magisk.
-Reboot System.
Is this the cleanest way to do it ?
I've seen @Koogly 's video but I dont know if theres a better way to do it.
Thank you all.

First time from oos zip
Flash latest stock rom oos
Flash twrp zip
Wipe data and cache
Reboot to recovery
Flash latest stock rom oos zip
Flash twrp zip
Wipe data and cache
Flash custom rom zip
Flash twrp zip
Flash gapps zip
Flash magisk zip if you want root
Reboot to system
If you are already on custom
Flash lastest stock oos zip
Wipe data and cache
Flash custom rom zip
Flash twrp zip
Flash gapps zip
Flash magisk zip if you want root
Reboot to system
If going from custom to oos
Back up all your internal storage pictures videos music etc
Wipe data internal storage and cache
Flash latest stock oos zip
Flash twrp zip if you still want to customize
Reboot to recovery
Flash latest stock oos zip
Flash twrp zip if you still want to customize
Flash magisk zip if you want root
Reboot to system
If you want a custom kernel on any of these methods I would recommend booting the rim first and going through setup process the rebooting back to to twrp after and flashing the kernel
Also you will want a USB c otg port bc after the first flash your data will be encoded. You can select the otg storage via twrp to make the process easier.
If you don't have an otg cable you will need to sideload each zip via cmd prompt with fastboot tools and sideload in twrp
After all flashes are complete and you boot the rom the encrypted data will no longer be encrypted on custom rom flashing if going back to stock oos rom you lose all internal data
Most ROMs threads have instructions in main thread and those should be followed first. Some ROMs may require some bits and pieces from original oxygen rom prior to custom install
Asoip for example
Is flashing oos necessary if we unlock bootloader?
I see instructions for lineage os dont mention flashing of oos bit they have the first step as unlocking the bootloader

You flash oos first so you have the correct vender and up to date files etc before flashing. Some ROMs require you to flash old oos versions bc their rom was based on that oos vender
I've been running rooted CRDroid 9.0 (with Magisk and No_Verity) for years and wanted to go back to Oxygen, so I downloaded OnePlus5Oxygen_23_OTA_068_all_2006012224_c7a6016 and updated my TWRP to 3.4.0.0. I followed the instructions - took a TWRP backup, flashed the Magisk uninstaller, did a full wipe (dalvik-cache, cache, system, vendor and data) and then tried to flash the ROM. I got an error due to the compatibility file. So, I tried to restore my TWRP backup and am now getting bootloops.
The instructions say I have to remove the compatibility file on my device, but I can't because of the bootloops.
Can anyone please help me to either get my TWRP backup successfully running or successfully flash Oxygen 10?
Thank you for any help!
