Guys help,
I need ROM supports adding different default images for incoming calls.
I have a business and personal SIM and I want easily to see which SIMs are incoming calls.
Thanks!

I am sure you used to be able to do it on the universal but now it seems I cant !!! does anyone know how !!!
I doubt you can send them, but you can enable tones in the phone control panel (I think it's there, but somewhere near there).
That just makes the phone keypad beep lyrical.

my old nokias can do it and so can my GF's samsung D500 !! a very useful option when using 3rd party dialers, I dont understand why this phone cant do it !!!
I always use this feature to send over the calling card PIN number and the destination number so even though I make an international call using phone card I do not need to puch the PIN etc manually. Just record the number into the contacts and use some delays. It works.

I know what you mean but that means I need to change all the international numbers stored in my phone, it would be easier if I could just call the number and then choose the number out of my contacts and send tones !!!
i have the same issue. i use an international caller to dial out to america and on my nokia i would just send the tones of the numbers i wanted to dial. now i have to write them down so i can punch them back into the xda. shame
Assuming I understand your problem correctly, it sounds like the problem is with your calling card provider and not your phone. The Universal, like any other phone, ought to send DTMF tones through in-band audio -- pretty standard stuff. I've tested this with my calling card provider and I'm able to put in my PIN code through DTMF without any problem.
I think that what these guys are describing is the ability, whilst on a call, to say "Send DTMF" and then choose a number from your contacts. This way, you can store your calling card number in one phonebook entry and all your other contacts as normal, then you choose the calling card to dial and then "send" the number for the other contact. However, you usually need to append a "#" with these services and the number needs the international prefix (so USA becomes "001" instead of "+1"). I generally just store two numbers against each name - one normal and one with integrated calling card.
I don't think anyone is saying that they can't manually key in the number mid-call.
That's exactly right, Melty.
do you ever get that one phone call from that same person over and over and you just wish they can go away. well me too. if anybody has a program that can stop a person from calling your phone and send that number to a diferent number or a voicemail u dont have to listen to that would be cool. I know there are call filters out is there, but im looking for something that wont only block the number but also send them somewhere esle. so when they call you can have them rerouted to a different number. maybe to a already dis connected number so it seems to that person your number changed.
we have 2020, any answer for this question?
Kall8.com will allow you forward calls for specific callers. As a toll-free service provider, they also will provide a number if a caller blocks their call.
Youmail is a voicemail service that allows you to have custom messages for every caller & has a lot of options for filtering calls.
Personally, I use both of these services. I forward calls to Kall8 to expose blocked numbers and then forward the call to Youmail to do everything else I need it to do.
At one point I was also using Google voice forwarded from Kall8 as a way of live-screening specific callers that blocked their numbers.
I hope this helps.

Hi @ all,
I have a question or request. First let me explaine the situation.
I use justVoip.com for calling German Cells cheaper and the USA for free. I call justVoips Landline for free (because I have a landline-flat) and they forward the call to the desired number. I used to just save their number before the contacts number seperatet by a "P" (pause): 08912345P0172123456
When receiving calls my Motorola would still recognize the Call-id, also with the voip number in front of it. But my X1 now doesnt recognize calls with their number inserted...
So my question is... either is there a way to have two seperate phone books running parallel or is there maybe a software that always asks if the preselection should be added when making a call??
Or a nother solution I didnt think of yet..
Hope this wasn't to complicated and you kinda now what i mean...
thanks..
Danny
Is there any way where you can edit the caller logs on the Rhodium? I could delete single calls and even add calls on my Tilt but on the Rhodium I can only delete all calls.
I found that if you go into a contact you can delete all calls from that particular contact. But I'm still looking for a way to delete specifik calls or add a fake call to the log?
Its ROM specific, and possibly specific to the version of TouchFLO3D/Sense. For instance on my ATT Tilt2 stock ROM (TF3D), the only option was to clear the whole long (like the OP). But on the Energy custom ROM (Sense 2.5), you have the ability to delete individual calls.

There should be some software to do this so that your ROM version doesn't matter, but I haven't came across any. Any dev have any spare time?
It would be nice to be able to edit (duration, time), delete (individual calls, all calls from one number/person or all calls), add fake calls.
The next time my boss asks if I made that unnecessary non selling call I can answer -"Sure did boss!"
-"did you make any personal calls during work hours?"
-"No Boss, I would never do that"
Hey guys,
I'm on (nearly) latest nightly build. I want to use the SIP client built in the dialer to make VOIP calls. This works totally fine but I want to call just a few numers/contacts via internet call and the others over regular cell network. When I select the option "Use internet calls... only for internet calls" (or sth similar) I never found an option how to do that call no matter if I dial the number directly or if I want to call a contact. The other option would be to choose between regular and internet call before I make the call but that started to get annoying
Does anybody have a clue? Help is much appreciated, thanks in advance
Best, Bootsy
Alright, I found a solution in case anybody is interested:
In order to call a specific number always via SIP you have to add a GOOGLE-contact (Exchange contact does not work since it does not have the appropriate field) and simply add the field "internet call" where you put the phone number. If your dialer is set to use SIP only for internet calls all outgoing calls use cellular network except of the numbers which are stored as "internet calls".
