Is there something built within Samsung that will prevent streaming apps from playing video? I can't get any streaming app to play video whether it's streamed or downloaded. It doesn't matter whether it's Netflix, Peacock, Vudu, whatever. When I go to play a video, I get a playback error.
Anyone encounter something similar?
Instead of recreating a similar thread, I'll just bump this one. Hoping to get some help on this. My device is stock, rooted with Magisk and I can't get any streaming app to work whether connected to the internet with with videos downloaded within the app. Has anyone encountered something similar. The errors codes all point to something with the internet connection, but as mentioned, it gives the same errors even for downloaded videos.

I want to listen to streaming air traffic control from Listen to Live ATC (Air Traffic Control) Communications | LiveATC.net but when I play a stream I can either play in vPlayer or Streaming Player, but both apps turn off the audio when I do anything else... kinda defeats the purpose if I can't stream in the background...
Just seems like this should be POSSIBLE given that Android OS has "Streaming Audio App" built into the OS... and it nor vPlayer nor YXPlayer seem to keep playing when I try to switch to another app. Why bother listening if I have to look at the black "Live Stream" screen and can't do anything else in the process? I've got to be missing something or some app that allows it.
Anyone have any suggestions for me?
Winamp for android allows streaming through shoutcasts while doing anything else with the phone...idk if LiveATC.net has that set up

Can you go to the link in the first post and try to load the stream in WinAmp if you have it installed? No biggie if not, I can try it I just figure if you have it installed I'd be forever grateful if you'd try it and let me know before I try installing yet another streaming app, hehe.
Anyone else have issues using the Youtube App in relation to an endless amount of buffering? If i try to watch a HQ video thru the App it has to buffer every 5 seconds or so.....making it pretty much impossible to use. I can however load youtube in a browser, and stream just fine.....leading me to believe the App is the problem. My wifes iPad streams thru it's Youtube App without issue, so I know it isn't a router problem or anything of that nature either. Anyone else having similar issues? Or anyone know of a solution?
Anyone else having issues might want to try this youtube apk. Seems to be working better than the lastest version from the play store.

Ever since I have jailbroken my phone, I am not able to play videos such as on youtube, I am connected to WiFi with a great connection, and when I try to play the videos, I get something that says "Sorry, cannot play this file on your phone". I am sure it is just an easy fix, but how would I fix it?
And I have also tried downloading the videos, they still dont work
Hello everyone. I just want to ask if anyone has the same problem or knows how to fix this.
After updating to 4.3, I can not stream video with MX Player or the stock video player. Tried various other apps on the play store and none seem to work.
Sometimes a video starts to stream and lags like crazy, then freezes. Any help?
I'm not sure if this is an Android thing, or the website's problem, but after updating a while back to KitKat, I can no longer properly view videos on a certain website (and others I think), that I know are not Flash. I believe they are MP4. The videos will display their thumbnail, and even play a few seconds sometimes, but then just pause and not be able to continue. If I click an alternate link for the video, my Nexus 7 says, "This video cannot be played" or something like that. I've tried the same videos in Chrome, and Boat, with similar results. What can I do to fix this? Did something change in KitKat that could have caused this?
