Hi! I have an error on my computer. I had preinstalled Windows 7, then i installed Windows 10 yeasterday. Though i have an error with audio "No Audio Output Device is Installed".
Info: I am using Nvidia HD Audio, and also on Windows 7 it works fine, but in Windows 10 it's not working.
Any help please
What did you try already?
I would normally suggest Realtek HD audio, good chance to fix it
- Uninstall Nvidia HD audio first
- Assuming you have 64bit windows 10, download the Realtek HD Audio driver here and install

Hi,
i have installed windows 8 and i am loving it but i have the same problem when i installed windows 7, the camera and the microphone aren't working. I have a compaq cq60-214EM. i have been on the hp website for drivers and i clicked on windows 7 32 bit and there's no driver for it but there is a driver for it in the windows vista section.
Can someone help me as i want to use them to call family.
Thanks in advance
use vista drivers
or try 7zip see if you can extract the exe file if yours is one for your 7 driver.
use control panel, device manager, update driver, browse my computer for it...but its down to hardware with the limited drivers available in W8. My R780 all works fine as is
thanks but i went to the device manager and i cant see the camera or the microphone. but i can't find the driver for the computer i have looked everywhere.

I have just installed the new Consumer Preview and love it!
However I have a Nvidia 555M graphics card which uses Nvidia Optimus, with out the nvidia drivers installed the graphics card simply runs on full the whole time but windows only sees the intel graphics chip, as such I can't play games well and still have horrible battery life!
So has anyone got the drivers to install/Optimus working right?
If so how?
having the same problem & graphics card,
according to NVIDIA you can just download the latest win7 drivers, works for some, not for all/always
Kind regards, Jonas

(not enough post, so just copy/paste)
edit: make sure you pick the correct bit version, or it will just tell you that it can't find your GPU
edit2: heared rumors about more success without the physx & auto-update; so disable those if you want
eidt3: just to say... working for me now, after several restarts (yesterday it failed after a restart or 2)

Hey,
try rebooting & re-installing the NVIDIA drivers a few times, it should work.
Also make sure you have the correct version of the drivers (x86 for 32-bit & x64 for 64-bit)
I tried installing windows 7 drivers, but it didn't work for my gt555m. Now that release preview is out, is there another way of making Optimus work?
Install the new verde drivers. There availible on the website and there made for windows 8. Stopped all my crashes and slow games. The newest ones also are supposd to have alotta updates for games

packard bell touch ze8
someone can help me,
my netbook is a packard bell ze8 (butterfly touch)
comes with windows 7 home premium
upgrading to windows 8 pro during installing new windows recognize all drivers
except accelerometer
i installed windows 7 driver in compatibility mode
but the auto-rotation does not work
the video card is an intel gma 4500
any idea?
Have you installed all the OEM's drivers (chipset, video, etc.)? Often the generic drivers don't provide support for features like that. Also, make sure that auto-rotation is enabled; on some systems it isn't.

thanks for supporting
i had installed the driver provided from packad bell under compatibility mode
then tried with new intel gma4500 driver installed by windows 8
and after also with old driver from packard bell
enabling auto rotation in both by intel setting and control panel settings
...in another partition installing windows 7 auto roation works
maybe there is some registry hack to do...?

I have similar problem on my Desktop PC with nVidia GeForce 210. Try this:
First download the latest driver for your GPU, then:
1. Disable Internet access (tur off WiFi / unplug cable)
2. Boot in Safe mode
3. Uninstall driver
4.Reboot in safe mood
5. Install the latest driver for your GPU
6. Reboot in Normal mode
I had problem with drivers on netbook asus 1015PN I solved it by disabling internet connection and installing older driver from asus website but first I installed ACPI driver to make nvidia optimus mode work

So you formatted again and did another install of Windows 7, and it still doesn't show up? Is it onboard audio? Check the BIOS to ensure it's enabled.
Google brings up a lot of results, have you tried looking at them? What does Device Manager show?
If it still doesn't work, the sound card/motherboard if onboard might be dead.
I can't count on two hands how many people, including myself had this upgrade problem. Always audio or video.
Firstly, I'd check to see on the notebook/pc manufacturer website if they have Windows 10 drivers for your model. That's the best place to start.
Some older drivers are getting automatically updated through Windows Update. It seems Microsoft has encouraged some key driver updates. E.g. Intel integrated graphics.
Lastly, uninstall the driver, reboot your computer, now, install the driver again under compatibility mode for the version of Windows you have.
For audio, compatibility mode worked. Get this. My notebook came with Windows 7. The Windows 7 driver works (after about 20 attempts) but the Windows 8 driver doesn't. My understanding is that Windows 8 drivers are a bit more compatible with 10 than 7. But the 7 driver actually worked better.
Let us know how you get on.
