hello xda,
Im on oneplus 6t running AOSiP android version 10. I was wondering if there is a way to run Oxygen Cam on custom roms like the one im using, I prefer oxygen cam because of the video 60fps support and its UI.
I have downloaded a few oxygen cam apk from apkmiror but it always crashes whenever I open the app.
Please let me know what my options are.
Yes, I prefer it too. You have to download a specific version from apkmirror that works with 6T.
I'm using V3.4.25 with Lineage 18.1

thnx, I have download same version as yours and the oxgygen cam app wont crash when i open it. But even if you select 60fps video recording it actually does not record at 60fps, and pro mode does not work, it crashes when you select pro mode.
This means, simply installing the oxygen cam does not unlock the full oneplus camera potential on custom roms unless you are on oxygen rom.
Unless you can prove me that you are really able to record 60 fps and also use pro mode, I think simply installing oxygen cam apk does nothing.
Damn. I don't record that much videos so I had not even noticed that!
Pro mode crashes the app on V3.4.X and V3.3.X but seems to work on V3.2.106. Slow-mo and everything work fine, but the 60fps video modes do not. Clearly it does 'something' because the video bitrate is 2-3 times higher on 60fps mode.. but still 30fps. I have no idea how to enable 60fps, sorry.

I'm having trouble recording 60FPS full HD video on Open Camera. Every time I set it to record at 60FPS or 24FPS, it records video but only at 30FPS. I'm getting the same issue with Filmic Pro. It's not a hardware issue since I can record 60FPS with the stock camera app. I've also noticed that when using the Cinema 4K app, the flat profile option just crashes the app every time. Is Asus doing this on purpose? It would be pretty ****ty of them if they did. The stock camera app doesn't give me a lot of options when it comes to recording video like Open Camera does. If I installed a custom ROM on it, can I get other apps to record at 60FPS?
I think it is the api, its a shame really as the API is not supported fully, Lineage OS might give you some luck but there is no guarantee, make sure you backup files b4 any mods
I have same problem and i don't think that any camera app can give you 60FPS full HD option.
I think that an api problem because i try 5 or 6 camera app and it just crash or show 60FPS but when i check video file, it's only 30FPS.
Install a custom ROM may be (just maybe) give you some luck but no one can guarantee that.
Lineage OS flat out doesnt support 60fps recording, not even with stock app
Here is how to record 60fps video on mi6
Requirements:
Magisk {that needs unlocked bootloader}
Open camera app
Im on miui 9 global beta 8.2.8
Test it on other roms and reply if it works
Ok here we go:
Camera2api should be enabled i use this magisk module by @00raq00
That enables AR stickers for Google camera which is cool and could be the reason for the 60fps to work i did not really test other situations
https://mega.nz/#!W09xATrA!HS2KgNqhPKN4B8WNZKTN26sdFLZh_zykS8_sTWUsB88
Then download open camera from playstore or anywhere else
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.sourceforge.opencamera
Open opencamera and go to Settings
Then enable camera2api at the bottom
Then go inside video settings there
Use any resolution you like i think 4k works fine too
Set the bit rate to 100 for the best quality
I have stabilization enabled but i guess it is on you
That's it enjoy hit the thanks button if it worked ?
Edit:bad spellings sry
Interesting!
Did you check if the recorded video file actually is recorded in 60 fps?
Some camera apps, just try to record 60 fps and fall back to 30 fps silently in case hardware or drivers not allow it.
A easy way to tell is by opening the recorded files with VLC (desktop version) and go to Tools -> Codec information and check the image rate.
I cannot test it personally since my Mi6 is not rooted,

Hello, not work for me, in the info of the video displays 29,9 FPS, wich version you use to record in 60 FPS?
Thread closed by OP request.
I used the vpn trick to update to android pie and have magisk installed. Everything works fine, 4g wifi etc. However, I noticed in the stock camera app video recording does not work. I can take pictures both on front and rear cam. When I enabled hyperlapse or slowmo, it can record video but never when those features are not enabled. I tried installing Open Camera from playstore (an opensource camera software) and tried to record video with that app but still nothing. It says "Failed to record video". I recently also enabled camera2api and installed gcam and it can take pictures but not record video. Weird thing is that I tried capturing video on Facebook Messenger and it worked. Video recording works on messenger but not on camera apps?? Did anyone experience this or is it just me?
Try to record video without audio in Open camera. If it works, download Cinema FV camera app and try different audio codec. It happened to me on Oreo, I couldn't find the reason. Once the full ROM has been released by Xiaomi, I reflashed it and video started to work in all apps again. Maybe something went wrong during OTA update, hard to tell. All I know is that it messed up with audio codecs and I had to use another as the default one to be able to record video with sound.

Hmm you're right the problem is with the audio. I tried open camera and disabled audio and it worked. I also followed your suggestion and installed cinema fv camera app and tried all the different codecs but it still doesn't work. It works though if I disable audio completely. Maybe I'll just wait for the new security patch to come.
I just found my old post, this codec in Cinema FV worked for me when I had the recording issue - "AAC-ELD".
I recently found out that the videos I'd thought I was recording (through a GCam port) at 60fps weren't even hitting 25fps. I was using a Pie-based ROM (Validus) at the time, and since all the GCam ports have been focused on Android 10 for a while, I went ahead and flashed crdroid 6.9 along with a fairly minimal opengapps install.
On crdroid, trcamera again only hits 25fps when selecting 60fps. Same story with Open Camera under default settings. But when I switched the camera API from "original" to "Camera2," two things happened:
1. The max resolution I could set for video was now 720p
2. Videos I told it to record at 60fps would actually get captured at 76fps
So has anyone had any luck recording at 1080p/60fps on Potter (using any ROM / any app / any settings)?
(Lavender) Hey there, was pretty happy with the camera having 60fps option, after some months the feature just stopped working on third party camera apps. stock still works fine (i don't want to use stock camera). tried my luck by updating to newer version miui 11 but still not working. what happens is, the third party camera just crashes when we start recording 60fps. eg opencamera, hedgecam2, filmicpro etc
