Hello. guys
i got hold of a TPMS kit from Teyes. 4 tpms in tyre sensors, and usb reciver device with usb. i also got the Teyes cc2plus head unit.
My problem is that i have to sets of tyres. Winter/summer. So teyes or other brands that supports android 10. only ship with one set of 4 sensors.
I Have a Autel MaxiTPMS TS508 unit. I tried to read the sensor but faild to read. As i know the sensor is on 433mhz. and like other china products no markings or numbers.
I would think it was a easy job to just read the sensor and wright to a new one. so then you would have 2 duplicate sets. but no.
I am hoping some of you have the knowledge to help me.

What about the teyes thread that discusses your unit. You have to put some effort in on xda, there are no guys
First contact for support is Teyes, what did they suggest you do before returning defective product
I'd like to read my factory(!) TPMS sensors with my android head unit. Since OBD2 dongles don't seem to provide TPMS data (shame...), I think buying an aftermarket TPMS set, solely for the USB receiver unit. Since I can read TPMS data using my RTL-SDR dongle from my PC with no problem, it may be working, just a question of configuration.
And yes, "question of configuration". Did anyone around here have experiments / experience with such an USB receiver unit? Or am I just overcomplicating things?
@hurjup
Check the CAN settings in your unit. The OEM TPMS data are provided via CAN.
Depends on the car if the CAN box is able to translate these data to be able to see that in your radio.

Could you explain a bit "can box"?
For the very same(?) head units sometimes an additional box (can box?) was provided and sometimes not. Amyway, I didn't receive anything like that for my suzuki s-cross, which looks normal to me. Is it embedded into the unit (which doesn't implement TPMS reading)? Or is it not needed for general functionality?
In short, knowing my car type, can I improve the situation with TPMS, or it is better just let it go?
Thank you in advance...
Well...
I don´t know if your unit has an internal CAN-Box or not. Please ask your reseller.
Nevertheless:
Even your suzuki s-cross should provide these data via CAN.
So possible issues could be:
No CAN-box internal or external (but I expect to get clamp 15, Reverse gear and some other stuff to be provided by any can box)
CAN settings in the unit are wrong
Wrong car set
wrong CAN box set
But most of the time you run into the issue that the CAN box (internal or external) does not translate these data. (most of the cars are not supported for data more than SW-Buttons, Clamp 15, Reverse gear, e-brake)
You should contact your reseller and ask if there is a CAN Adapter available which decodes these data for your car.
I searched already, but did not find any for your car which should be able to do what you want.
I vote for the "CAN box does not translate these data" option. I've contacted my seller, but expect multiple rounds when it tries to google translate "can type" or "can adapter" before hitting a dead end. I don't expect any resolution of this problem through support, simply because the product page wanted to sell me an aftermarket TPMS set for my particular car type.
Some time possibly I'll make a try with such a set, maybe an app dev was lazy enough to adapt rtl_433 with minimal modifications and it will just work.
You´re not allone...
For my Mitsubishi I even don´t get the door open messages and climate control through the CAN box.
Even intire OEM TPMS is not visible. Just visible in the cluster. It is available on CAN, but not translated.
If you would own a VW Golf as example, you would get all this stuff on your unit....so guess why no one get´s on the CAN traces and translates the signals for cars which are not sold that often...

I am considering installing a Joying Head unit in a BMW 118i 2008 car and know that interfaces are required to integrate Bluetooth and steering wheel controls, however after much research I can't any information about replacing the existing BMW Professional radio/CD unit which has a MOST bus fibre optic connection which communicates with other modules in the audio system.
Has anyone done a similar conversion and knows what is required to ensure that some existing features, such as parking sensor system, are retained?

Have you asked joying? [email protected]
(Make your mail simple as their English is not too good.)
I assume you also checked the BMW page on their site? It doesn't seem to mention a 118i
Thanks for that surfer63. Yes I have looked at the BMW page and also been in touch with Joying using the [email protected] address. I did get some advice from them, but it was a bit lacking in technical content. I will try the address you gave to see if I get a different response.
Since my original post I have checked out what I've actually got on the car using diagnostic software and the MOST fibre optic bus is only connected between the head unit and the CD Changer at the rear of the car. So as I'm not bothered about keeping the CD Changer I can probably bypass the MOST bus.
There are lots of interfaces on the market for after market head unit integration; most are quite expensive and don't go into much detail of how they work. What I would like to do is get relevant circuit diagram information, buy the separate parts and make up my own interface(s). So if anyone would like to share appropriate information or links in this respect I would be most grateful.
Hi,
I am trying to buy an android head unit from aliexpress for my bmw f30 2013. Very few sellers answer questions and not to the point.
e.g.
1) does it supports after market front camera through RCA input and how easy is to select it? (e.g. does it appear automatically right after reverse gear)
2) does it support can bus messages or do I need a can bus converter. I have already tried 2 multimedia interfaces (IW06B-N23 and QHI-BM12) but they dont trigger the camera. So how to be sure that the same will not happen with the android head unit
3) which MCU is used in order to see if I will be able to find updated firmware on xda forum
4) will I hear oem radio during google maps navigation (hearing also google maps directions)
5) will it connect automatically to my iphone hotspot for internet
6) will it work for iphone 11.2 mirroring
7) will it show perfectly the oem screen
8) would I be able to use steering wheel controls for bluetooth and which bluetooth will I be able to use? the OEM one or the Android one?
9) would I be able to use idrive in google maps
All of the above I believe are very basic information that you cannot get from sellers. I dont understand how they sell or I am missing something here.
Is there anyone here with similar problems so we can help each other?

Mike
With a name like Mike, you're maybe English or American? I really suggest buying locally. You'll pay £/$30 more but you'll get a warranty and protection from your local trading laws. Buying from China is a game of Russian roulette. I bought an Erisin from China before and it was absolutely fine. Lucky that, because one I bought from England was not fine, and I had to return it. Had it been the other way round, I'd have been in a world of trouble and £100+ down the ****ter.

It will come with a canbus decoder unit. Any unit worth it's salt will work correctly with your PDC system. Mine does.

MCU is not important. It's the brand that puts out firmware updates. Xtrons, Joying and Eonon have fairly solid reputations for their updates. Xtrons have put out 5 so far for my unit. Erisin have a fairly flakey reputation. The rest are going to be a complete gamble and more likely you'll lose.

You're mixing two entirely different software packages up here.
To conclude, if your car has iDrive. I wouldn't go anywhere near one of these systems, it'll be a ****ing minefield making it work. If yours is non iDrive, like mine, then it'll fit perfectly with no issues
Thank you for the supplied information. I am from Greece/EU and locally there are no such products.
Chinese solutions for BMW F30 are mainly changing only the screen (which is detachable) and the new one includes all the features inside the screen, so the main OEM function remain in-place.
I would take a look at xtrons as I have seen various posts here and they have a decent website hoping to receive updates but I dont know yet if they have an EU warehouse because import taxes is my country are very high. My concern stays for idrive and canbus integration mainly because I have already tested 2 other types of interface and non of them worked.
Lets see if xtrons will reply on aliexpress with more to the point questions!

Your car has iDrive? Be very careful. Those systems are so much more complicated. The reason the non-iDrive works is because it's actually still a simple system. It's just a whole bunch of relays triggered by other relays and a few more relays and then somewhere there's a computer that does it all. iDrive has it's own dedicated computer which does so much more and offers so much more functionality, and that's where you might find problems. Getting those two systems integrated could be an absolute minefield.

Not sure if you are still around or found more info but the above posts are incorrect. The unit you are buying is more than likely the 10.25 screen upgrade with Android built in. It will work in tandem with idrive....everything works and it is easy install and upgrade.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10-...00a8-4760-8b00-b2efeaa2fb7e&priceBeautifyAB=0
So a stupid question, it seems there are several Chinese companies that sell these 10.25" Android panels for the F30 BMW. Though the interface looks exactly the same despite who made the tablet, is there really a difference in the ROM image between makes? The one I have is from COG Android (atleast that is what the Bluetooth ID says). I have had in other cars Joying and ITOPWay, are they really something different ( I almost suspect they are the same company)?

I have a generic 9" Android Head Unit (K6_11_OH??) running Realdash app as a car dash board.
It works quite well using both of the USB ports for serial data (UART) and GPS input. Basically nothing else is required other than wifi to install head unit app
Main issue I have is the head unit re-assigns the USB COM ports each time it powers off and back on. This is annoying as I need to re-assign the dash app inputs every time I turn it of and back on.
Can anyone recommend a generic 9" head unit and chipset combo for the following: ??
- Easy to root
- Easy to customise ROM to strip unwanted apps and bloat
- Easy to customise Launcher / UI to remove (Dash app auto launches but not good if radio also tries to auto launch)
- USB ports enabled and easy to assign and access
- GPS
- Wifi
- 2GB RAM is sufficient
- No need for any other features that add cost such as high end music features (So relatively inexpensive)

There seems to be so many options, I don't want to make the same mistake and buy another one that is not well supported, which is why I asked here.
The one I have now has firmware with K6_11_OH and the last updates I could find was 28/06/2019 and it seems they we never very widely supported.
I had a head unit for my Mazda which is nice. I got it from Bestycar which has an SC7862 chipset which is great for normal music player but more advanced and does not seem as easy to customise and simplify like I want for the basic dashboard specific use for my project car.
So I assume one of the MTC units like a PX5 or PX6 chipset might be the best way to go now?
The dash has been built using a 9" unit this exact shape and I would rather keep this the same.

Don´t get your point...
You are searching for a good supported and quality head unit, right?
In this case you really should dive in at Joying for FYT units ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/f/fyt-android-head-units.12445/ ) or may be Klyde for CSN2/CSM4 units which are supported in this forum part.
At least you need to search for a unit specially for your car, or you need to search for a universal one with 2-DIN. Don´t ever buy a 1-DIN unit, as they all have severe issues with overheating if they are based on 6- or 8-core chipsets.
But by the way... the points you mentioned in your first posting... Sorry, but what do you expect to get?
I was expecting someone might say something like "UIS7862 head units seem to be the easiest to root hack and customise".
I don't actually want an expensive unit with heaps of great audio features as it is just a screen with 1 app and serial data feeds.
If I could get an Android tablet for 12V car use, with 2 x USB ports and completely raw Android ROM I'd be happy.
Hi there. I searched (at least I tried for several hours without luck) this forum and the internet in general.
I have bought a ES8113M from Erisin (https://erisin.de/products/-655) with Android 10 preinstalled and a RN-SS-01 canbus decoder. The issue is that the steering wheel controller is not working. Does anyone have managed to connect the canbus of their Megane to the Android head unit?
Please tell me if you need more info. I am happy for every litte hint on PIN Layouts, factory setting, firmware upgrades or anything else.
Thanks in advance
What did seller suggest when contacted for support?
Is this an FYT based unit?
Thanks @marchnz for your quick reply and thereby help .
Support is poor. I asked two times over two different channels but did not get any answer yet.
Sorry to ask, I am new to Android head units. What do you mean FYT unit? Do you mean the MicroControlerUnit (MCU)-type? Then it's a S32F0 or LEIMA?
It says S32F0_LEIMA-W 20201020-17:05 HD1_7708_D_FF_C8
Oh I see you may ask because I posted to FYT Android head units. If this was wrong sorry and maybe a moderator will provide help and move to the appropriate sub forum (thanks).
@Badger50 thanks for moving this thread to the right forum. I hope someone still reads older (like in days ;-) threads and is able to help and or ask questions for me to better understand and hopefully solve my issue....

Is there a possibility to connect the shown connector directly to the radio?
Did you get the right cable tree from the seller? Normally the CAN adapter is connected in between the car-cable tree and the radio.
Is this the right CAN adapter for this radio, provided by the radio seller?
Thank you @rigattoni for your reply. And yes, the Canbus-Decoder ist connected to the Megane on the one side (for power and canbus signal) and the radio (see pinout picture from erisin). I would confirm this as you say it's "normally". I think and hope I have the right harness. At least the QR code says for MEGANE 2 and the website / the seller state it is especially designed and adapted for the Megane 2 (https://erisin.de/products/erisin-e...wifi-4g-dvd-obd-canbus-swc-für-renault-megane).
I did some more digging and analising today. Here are the colors of the ISO-Adapter with the according functions as far as I could find out on the internet (First screenshot). I also compared the cables from the harness and the radio to the canbus adapter (second screenshot). And finally I checked the connections to the radio and the link from there to the canbus adapter again (third screenshot).
It would be nice if someone could confirm some functions and if especially the canbus connections from the harness are the same with your knowledge (at best from another Renault Megane CC2 driver ).
Also I am curious if someone can shre more intel on the canbus cables of a Megane convertible 2.
What if the wiring is fine. I measured 5V between RN-SS-01 PIN3 / PIN4 and GND. To me that makes sense for a canbus information channel... Lots of messages on high...
Can someone provide the correct parameters for the Android head unit? I did a factory reset, an android reset and a SD0 card wipe. Unfortunately the car settings and factory settings remain as I did set them during testing.
For the canbus type (in the factory settings) I think it was 0x00 OFF when I first installed it. I cannot select it from the "select your model" screen (see above, RN-SS-01 missing). But I can set it to 0x85 RENAULT MEGANE SP...
Any intel on what canbus type should work? And how can I test it? In the car settings there is a menu entry steering wheel settings... I did reset it during testing and now even if I press a button on the steering wheel control, nothing happens. I would assume it should pop up a message on which button recognized and ask for what to map it to...
Sorry I am a bloody n00b here....
Sorry for starting this thread, but I would like to finish it with an easy statement: My car hasn't CANBUS (because manufactured >>before 2005<<). So I needed to go with an analogue adapter.
After a very friendly and productive phone call with a German vendor I bought this one here:
https://www.niq.de/lenkradfernbedie...---Scenic---Trafic-Bj--Ab-2000-fuer-auna.html.
From there on very easy to install. Connect the ISO cables from the car to the ISO adapter from NIQ and the departing cables to the ISO connector from the ERISIN head unit. Additionally and to get the steering wheel control working I had to connect SWC1, SWC2 and GND from the NIQ-adapter to the head unit.
Thanks for everyone reading and helping. CASE_SOLVED
Hello, I ordered multimedia for megane 2 ( https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100...020888279!sea!BG!0&curPageLogUid=eazK1RuTtlpe) but the can-bus decoder doesn't work, I ordered another one from another dealer but the coupler is smaller, is it possible to connect the wires to the new one. The new one is labeled "Megane 2" and I got it with cables but they don't fit...
Hello,
I would like to understand more about the canbus box, hope someone could share some knowledge.
I see the models for sell and is like, model 1 is for 3 cars of the Y brand, other is model 2 is for 10 cars for brand X brand and so on... And if i check for example RZN vs HiWorld is almost the same car list.
I think the data the canbus have is not specific to the type of car, but for the can version of the car correct?
So, if a box have information for the Sylphy and for the Tiida, i can select any of these in the car select of the car?
I ask this because i have a sentra/sylphy, my box is Raise and my unit have sylphy only on the hiworld box, i use X-Trail in Raise and i have the basic working fine, dash TFT with radio infos, clock etc... But the new unit that i don´t install yet, don´t have sylphy/sentra in any place (i already ask a update for the vendor).
Another question related but not so much, these boxes make the 6v for the backup camera too? My current box use a exterior 12v - 6v converter, but the new one don´t have any of these, only the box.
Thanks for all the replies!

I have seen both types, one where the 6V came out of the Canbus decoder directly to the camera and another Canbus decoder from the same maker where that same wire went into a 12V/6V converter before feeding the camera. Suggest you probe the camera voltage feed wire before trying to connect the camera, I did on the first Canbus decoder and found 6V.
Indeed, after i read your message i check the Upindo vendor in aliexpress, he share the pins layout, and i compare some boxes there, not only some have 6v output but some have 16pins and others 20pins.
