about 1 month ago I was changing tablet with PC USB port because if I connect it on normal charger it was not charging ( The charger was working on another Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 ). For about one month I was using new phone and another Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, now I had idea if a install OS that is compatible and not discontinued. I connected it on PC and it was not charging, I tried to change ports and normal changer, but none work. It is on 0% so I can not turn it on. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is charging on that port and also PC can recognize it. Device manager ( On PC ) was saying:
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
A request for the USB device descriptor failed.
This was happening on both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 port. Is there is way to fix this? ( Remember port on device is clean ). If you need more information you can write in reply.

hello
I try to connect the gt-s5360 to PC (Windows 7 x64) but I can not (I also have a Galaxy S (i9000) that connect to the PC without any problem).
The steps i followed are these:
1 - uninstall KIES
2 - Reboot PC
3 - I download the latest version and install KIES
4 - Reboot PC
5 - Start up the phone and connect it to the USB root hub
6 - start installing the drivers, but BCM21553-Thunderbird is not installed

I cleaned the registry all information related to samsung, restart the PC, I also tried to install the USB driver only (1.5.6.0) but nothing happens...
Tips?
P. S.: The Galaxy S is recognized by PC!
Reinstall last kies

Try installing drivers of samsung galaxy y
google it fro drivers
For some weird reason my phone has always had an issue no matter the rom, ever since I got it with copying files to and from the phone over USB.
Through apps like 'Airdroid' I have never ever had any issues.
Through USB it's always ended in errors or hanging.
Even after formatting the ExternalSD and InternalSD (which I can do with a PC) it has never made a difference.
I have Kies installed (and the drivers) but I don't have Kies running (to avoid conflicts)
I'm talking about just a simple copy/paste from/to the phone etc.
When copying/cutting/pasting to the InternalSD I get this forever:

}
When copying/cutting/pasting to the ExternalSD it copies a bit but then fails at random intevals:
Both Filesystems are displayed (oddly enough) as 'Generic Hierarchical' which I have never ever seen Windows 8 say..
I don't have this problem on my Galaxy S3 at all. Only my Galaxy S4.
I've tried 5 re-installs of the drivers, but sadly I don't have another computer to try copying on..
I've also tried 3 different MicroUSB cables too but there's absolutely no difference at all.
Any ideas...?
Can anyone help me how install usb drivers and root galaxy grand prime g530fz?
I install samsung usb drivers but nothing happen i dont know what is probelm.
I will attach picture of my phone

Hi everyone.
For some odd reason... I couldn't get JDS Labs C5D ( portable amp/dac ) to work with my Nexus 6P... :T ( The owner sent me USB C to Mini USB OTG cable )
My phone does not recognize the usb/amp. I also tried playing my music through USB audio player pro app as suggested here but it didn't work. In dev opt, I set usb config to MTP... am I doing something wrong?

ROM I'm on: Pure Nexus
Kernel: ElementalX
Help please. T_T
Edit: This is the USB C to Mini USB OTG cable that was provided.
I don't know if you got it working by now. But have you tried swiping down from the status bar, then selecting USB for file transfer?
My schiit stack work on stock marshmallow on 6P using USB C to A otg.
Pretty sure it's not a driver problem, have the latest installed already.
Every time when I connect my 6P to my laptop through type-c port, a prompt that says USB device not recognized

will show up.
However, if I switch to usb 3.0 port, it works like a charm.
No problem here running Win10 Pro and using USB 2.0 ports. Connects up with no issues and transfers files just fine.
Using a gigabyte board with native usb c port and all works just fine. I would hunt down the driver from the specific hardware manufacturer.
Sent from my Nexus 6P using XDA-Developers mobile app
I had this problem briefly on my Windows 8 laptop. It turned out that Windows was using the wrong driver and I had to forcibly uninstall the driver (via Device Manager).
I then detached the 6P and reattached it. Windows was then able to pick the correct driver and everything worked fine after that.
