I just received the november safety patch, but also brings:
- Bigger font size, bigger app icons and louder ringtones.
- Improved settings: you can find the tools you need more quickly.

This is my first post and hopefully it raises an interesting issue.
I am partially sighted and have just got an XDA II. I really like it but I find some of the fonts in some of the applications to be rather small. I know about increasing Font size in Contacts/Calendars/Tasks etc. but I'm thinking more on the SMS/Email inboxes and on the Today screen.
In comparison I have used an SPV E200 which has accessability features available from the Settings menu. I had a large font homescreen set abd large fonts were used throughout the system - it made reading SMS's a breeze.
Is there a awy of increasing the font size througfht out all the applications as the smartphone seems to allow.
At a bare minimum I want to be able to create and read sms and emails using a larger font.
If the system font cannot be increased in these applications, has any one got suggestions for PPC PE applications that I can download and use.
I look forward to the responses.
Regards,
Mike
Yeah you can change everything, font sizes, colors,,, everything..
Download Nyditot Virtual Display (http://www.nyditot.com)
It has an appearance option much like the one in Windows 2000/XP
i'm trying to lower the font setting in qmail so the columns fit the screen, but in the options it gives u two font selections (tacoma & courier) and it only goes down to 8, and 9 is the default setting, so there's really no difference.. is there a reg hack to get the font size smaller?
thanks,
Better late than never (I hope) and just in case anybody else is trying to figure out how to do this ...
Instead of selecting the font size from the drop-down list, you can just overtype the value with whatever you want (although I find anything below 6 to be too small to read).
Here is a list of some of the new registry settings and associated assets in WM65. These are all valid as of 23020 and 21935. Many have been valid for much longer.
For example themes and settings, please refer to recent .tsk files (most were updated in July, including HTC Black) and the themes and/or OEM packages for images.
As the controls get larger and more "Touch friendly" the existing assets are more noticably ugly (i.e. classic blue in 23024)
Hopefully some brilliant artists will come up with nicer themes, buttons and controls.

What software do u use?
1. Fresh color
Flyme 5 adopts colors that are much more brighter and lighter than it used to. These colors, according to Flyme designers, are more appealing to young users.
2. Quicker notifications
On locked screen of Flyme 5, users can view directly the new messages or notifications, while in Flyme 5, users only see icons on the notification bar and have to unlock the screen to view the messages.
3. Smaller icons
As the screens of smart phones become bigger, the old layout of Flyme home screen seemed to be a waste of screen space. Therefore the designers adjusted the DPI of the app icons and now the screen can show more contents.
4. Easier icon moving
Do you feel annoyed when you have several icons to be rearranged but you can only drag them one by one? On Flyme 5, we introduced the new multi-selecting option that users can now move icons to another screen page in batch.
5. Better notification panel
We've made several adjustment on the notification panel to make users' operation more easily.
For example, we changed the position of the 'Clear all' toggle. Before it was on the top right corner of the screen and it is inconvenient when operate the phone single-handed. In Flyme 5, we moved it to the bottom of the panel so it can be reached easily.
6. Multi-tasking in card style
In Flyme 5, we adopted card style multi-tasking management. Now users can view the running apps in an elegant and clear way.
7. Simple Settings layout
Some users loved the design of Flyme 4 Settings layout because it took fully advantage of the big screen, however, the defect was quite obvious, too. Because the screen is divided into 2 sections, sometimes there is no sufficient space for longer options or descr iptions. In Flyme 5, we changed the layout to a simpler one.
