Hi!
After installing any flavour of the AOSP roms and installing OpenCamera, the app doesn't detect the 52mm rear camera. Only the fisheye and the wide angle are detected, as well as both of the selfie ones.
As a curiosity, opencamera detects 3 front cameras, but 2 of them are the same.
Is there some kind of patch or whatever to force opencamera to detect the third camera?
Thanks in advance!

Hello, recently I've been experiencing problems with my camera. If I open up the camera app most times I can feel the autofocus trying to adjust itself but more times than not it won't and I'll get a ripple effect. What I'm wondering is the autofocus built into the camera or built into the phone. I'm not too concerned about having to replace the camera but autofocus may be a totally different task.
Hi all,
I am just wondering, are the current camera drivers on AOSP/CM11 ROMs causing the delay when switching between front and back cameras?
This happens on any camera app such as Google Camera, AOSP Camera, CM Camera, Instagram and Snapchat.
Also happens on Face Unlock.
Is there anyway to fix this?
Thanks!
I have a j500m that does not focus the camera, I tried to change the lens and the camera, but it is still blurry, I wanted to know someone has the solution for this
So I'm using Lineage 16.1 and GCam, the issue is that my current .apk can't detect any aux front camera so I'm stuck using the selfie in wide-angle mode.
This bothers me because it causes fish-eye distortion on the pictures. Anyone ever found a way to switch off the wide-angle mode on the selfie camera?
I suppose there is only one selfie mode on Lineage V20. And that only takes pictures in wide-angle view.
However, if you want to fix this problem I think you should try a factory reset.

I was hoping for a Gcam that can use the aux front camera. Maybe there's a specific port that can disable the selfie wide-angle.
On my XP5, Android 10 can system I have installed a front and rear view camera. Both camera's show up in f-cam and work fine. Now I want to use the front camera in a dash cam app.
I can not find the front camera in all the dash cam apps's tested.
Any suggestions how to solve this?

Afaik all dashcam front cameras are working on USB and store their data on their internal SD card. I don´t know any app which would be available for FBAS video in.
If you want to have a dashcam, you need to use a specialized one with internal SD, connected via USB. Attention: You need to use the app which is delivered with the USB cam. Nothing else is usable.... at least for most of theses cams.
Thank you for your reply. I also run across a thread which mentioned that the front camera is only powered up, when f-cam uses the camera.
Probably need to change camera.

Yes, I think it would be more comfortable to use a real dash cam. Even because you would not be able to store videos from your front camera. Just don´t go with the cheapest ones. And take care that the angle of this camera is 170°. The cheap ones show just 120-150°. Not that good...
