Hi... I bought some time ago a head unit for my Land Rover freelander 2. Almost 800$ but soon it started with problems with any support. THe problem we have is always goes back to main screen so IT is impossible to use navigator, radio, video etc... as you can see in this video.
I've been searching for a similar device or ROM upgrades for this box, but I dint found anything and I wonder if there is any guide to do it or ROMs repository anywhere.

Hi guys,
I am quite new to the whole world of Android head-units. I've found a unit that fits my car and before I buy it I was just wondering if you guys could help me out a bit.

It states that it is a RK3088 unit, although it must be RK3166 if it's quad-core, right?

I note that the XDA repository doesn't include firmware updates for this MCU - does this mean that I won't ever be able to update the firmware? Would the custom ones (Masaryk?) work on this MCU?
I've also read that the microphone is pants, which is why every seller is including some-kind of an external one, in this case a bluetooth one. How does a microphone like that get powered? Is it a difficult to get power to it when installing?

Your info is not enough. Please place more details of your unit including the brand name, type, current android version, preferably with a link to alieexpress or wherever it can be found, etc.
Nobody can give you a correct answer if you don't ask the correct, precise question.
It's like "I have a car, it's blue and it doesn't start".

Based on that aliexpress link you see that the unit is being sold by "Wincen Technology". A quick google search resulted in http://wincen.en.ec21.com/ and http://wincen.appliances-china.com/Index.php and http://wincencn.company.weiku.com/ and a derived one http://1060495.en.makepolo.com/ with an option to "contact Supplier" as well
I did not find your unit as such but you can try to contact the manufacturer/supplier directly.

That's why I did not react as I don't have more info either and you could have found this as well.
Hello everyone I'm new to the forum and dont know really anything about these android head units. My problem is that I cannot use my gps on any apps what so ever I've tried 4 different ones. But when I use a gps test app it shows I'm connected very well to gps signals .... I dont know what information everyone will need to help me fix this issue but just tell me and I will get it for you. Please help this is driving me insane I've spent hours trying to fix it. All I can tell you about the unit is that it is just a cheap android 10.2" for a mitsubishi lancer that I bought off of wish. The kernel version is 3.18.22 [email protected] #49 And the build number is Android-trunk-m0.ac8227L-v1.0 any help would be great thanks so much!
What did the reseller suggest? What information or manual did you get with the unit? What apps have you found others are using from reading the forums?
I'm still contacting the reseller at the moment it came with the smallest manual and it didnt have any useful information for my issue.

Hello, I myself have been searching for the difference between all of these devices and can not find the literature. Have done extensive searching. I have material to contribute for 10.1" single din T3 cpu model but unsure of which catagory it falls under. Is there a chart? Pictures?

1. I did a search on google and XDA for key info I obtained from the unit, no luck.
2. The unit resembles this unit - but mine is 10.1 Inch but the interface and apps are basically identical to this unit.

3. Also, unit is Android 10, which is quite old, if upgradeable, would it make a difference to the look and feel?

Well... don´t even think that you would be able to upgrade Android to a newer one. It´s already the current actual Android version.
You really should blame the vendor that BT is a mess. That is nothing the forum can help with. Your MCU is special for Toyota and you won´t find a matching update for your special unit.
Go back to the seller and ask for an update otherwise you open a dispute on Alibaba. This is the one and only way to get them start working.
Sorry, but these special units with this MCU, that is not easy going.
