My home theater no sound when i opted DD+ . only option available is pcm and auto. In auto mode its support dd only. Before update i have option pass thorough . but this option is missing. Please help me to enable this option . or any apk is available for hdmi arc setting.

the entertainment center is kinda useless,i cant play stuff from network or usb stick
in webtop mode i cant really play videos(maybe im missing something) and the output is 720p(bummer but its not the problem)
actually the best method is hdmi mirror mode and then play stuff from regular video player,but still quality its not good and you cant use the remote

When i first tried it, it shows the same interface as on e.g. my Nexus 7. There are no borders around the currently selected items.
If you try to play a video, it loads a bit and then closes the video and goes back to the main screen.
(I invested this issue by checking the logcat and the problem is, that the app tries to show a xraycard in the navbar and i think androidtv doesnt support a navbar.)
I then looked through the files in the apk a bit and found some folders referencing a television mode (/res/layout-sw540dp-television).
So that lead me to the idea to test it with a different display density. To change that, connect your shield to your pc, enable abd debugging and open a command shell on your pc.

This will change the interface of the amazon app to be somewhat useable on a tv. you see a border around the currently selected item and video playback is possible (only sd now).
Also you can't choose to play a specific episode of a season because the play-icon is not selectable with the remote or the controller.

yeah and only sd-quality... but better than nothing.
maybe now that appletv gets support we will get an androidtv version.

This is screen mirror (as via WIFI), not HDMI (as via cable).
AFAIK Mate 8 doesn't do HDMI.
S8 mirracast to smart tv audio redirecting sound output help [ Edited ]
Smart view / smartthings / allshare / quick connect / Samsung connect. a whole list of 100s of apps trying to redirect the audio from the tv back to my phone. I tried everything. I've tried to search and search for answers nothing.
I would really appreciate if someone could help.

Tv plays the audio and there is no option or settings to redirect it .
Even though I have both the "allow video autoplay" and the "allow audio autoplay" switches set to off in my Firestick 4K preferences, when I select the Pluto TV app on my Firestick home page, the video with audio still plays when I scroll through the channels while still on the homepage. How do I prevent this?
