I accidently updated my wallpaper resources with another Oneplus's phones wallpaper resources. I think the files name was Opwallpapers or something. I lose my mclaren live wallpapers and other live wallpapers.
Is there any way to get them back?

When I download wallpapers from the web they are being saved in the downloads dir, and do not show up with the rest of the wallpapers whrn I access them from the settings.
My question is : Is there a directory I could move images to, so they would show along the stock ones ?
Err, downloaded wallpapers will be shown in your gallery instead. If you want to set them as wallpapers, then just browse from gallery.
The stock wallpapers are in a different time space continuum so there's no way to add new pictures to the stock wallpaper folder without altering the fabric of N1's existence.
That is if you are on stock N1. Not sure about rooted N1s with custom roms.
All the wallpapers that you can access from settings are in launcher.apk.....so one can edit it and push launcher again
Hey guys,
As I'm sure you've realized, the 3.1 update gets rid of all our wallpapers
fortunately, I have a backup.

I should be able to post an updated launcher.apk later with these wallpapers included.
Edit: never mind. I tried editing the Launcher2.apk but the wallpapers still did not show up. perhaps someone smarter than I will be able to get it to work.
I copied the wallpaper into my pictures folder. Selected gallery from the wallpapers option and have managed to get my blue hexagon screen desktop screen back.
yes, you can always do that. it would be nice to have them in the launcher so that they would appear with the other stock wallpapers but it's really not a big deal.
What about the live wallpapers
Hi !
I would like to extract the image of a live wallpaper, but I can't seem to find it.
Used apk tool to decompile the apk, and when I look for the image there's only a 256x256 thumbnail of the wallpaper in the res/drawable folder... How come ?
Another solution would be to modify the apk to make the wallpaper still instead of animated, but I don't know where to start. Is there a file I could modify to do that ?
Thanks a million for your help !
Cheers
It sounds like the wallpaper is generated entirely with an algorithm. Live wallpapers are actually special apps that run behind the icons.
A simple solution is to just take a screenshot of the wallpaper. You can select it in the Live Wallpaper picker and take a screenshot of it. Then, you can crop out the bottom area that has the Settings and Set Wallpaper buttons.
What wallpaper are you trying to take a still image of?
That's what I thought... Damn.
I tried to use a screenshot but it's not the same since it's smaller and can't cover the sliding effect. Better than nothing though.
I'm trying to get a still image of the "Holo Grid" wallpaper.
Thanks anyway
I wanna make an android app. It's a live wallpaper app and I want to set a custom listview as the live wallpaper and the list will keep updating. But I am stuck on how to set a list as a live wallpaper. Anyone please help.
Hey!
I install the Google Pixel Live Wallpapers on the phone, but the MIUI Settings doesn't recognize the wallpaper, so I have install Google Wallpapers App. And they will show it up and I can set as Default Live Wallpaper. But after a few times turn on and off the screen, the Google Live Wallpaper replace it through one of Xiaomis Stock Wallpaper.
Are there any options, where I can set Non Xiaomi live wallpapers as Default wallpaper? Settings-> Wallpaper I only can choose the 4 installed live wallpapers....
Even Xiaomi's own 24h live wallpaper doesn't work for me. I think live wallpapers are completely broken on global ROM right now.
I've also noticed that my lock screen settings don't stick and it changes to my home wallpaper after a reboot. It's a mess.
Yes, I realize that xiaomis live wallpaper have the same issue. it always replace it with a stock wallpaper..
But I found out, there is a way to set custom live wallpaper with MIUI. You can copy a mp4 video in a miui folder, then you can choose it and set it as lockscreen and homescreen without third party apps. But there are still the same bug with the live wallpaper
