I wanted to say I think it is really dumb that you all do such great work on the official releases and then don't even bother to keep an archive of the older versions. Just because there may not be an official newer release, doesn't mean all of a sudden everyone threw the phones away. I have a perfectly good HTC One M7 which is running fine on the 14.1 unofficial release. all other unofficial releases were unstable. I would be happy to have the last official release.

I check the Cyanogenmod site every once in a while, and to my surprise as the title says, CM14.1 was finally released today. I really need my phone right now so I can't mess with it, but I will definitely be installing it in the future a) to start getting up to date android security releases and b) to upgrade to Nougat. I am hoping that CM14.1 will be released for the Nexus 4 soon as I would install it there immediately and use it as both a backup phone and to discover all the features of CM 14, as I never used any CM in the past.

Thanks for the heads-up. Appreciated.

Done, I hope we have Official PA, searching through the threads haven't found any Official ROM, any suggestions I'm still doubting about unlooking my bootloader because there´s not a great support as in other phones
@FinalbossMLG carbon ROM is having official support and its receiving weekly updates.... Am using lineage os as my daily driver...it has minor hiccups here and there.,which hasn't bothered me much....lineage has great support from tomascus even though its not official....both are great!
Just FYI....keeping fingers crossed
Hello members,
Good day,
I'm using moto g4 plus,
Few days unofficial oreo rom urged to users with some flaws,
Its a quite long time, I have been waiting for official lineage oreo rom for moto g4 plus,
Can I know when the official rom or successfully working rom will come to device?
Will official oreo update come to stock roms?
Thank You,
Official Oreo has been confirmed by moto, just don't expect it soon. Even flagship devices like Samsung S8 will get Oreo around early 2018, so I'm thankful we're getting it at all. Considering our g4 plus is a cheap device, seeing 2 major software updates is great value. I'm hoping we get it by March 2018.
3rd party rom developers are releasing Oreo in alpha stage, so bugs will be expected. They are doing a great job since I assume they have to struggle with things like proprietary drivers, etc. Still, I have yet to come across a good rom for our device apart from stock even for nougat. But if you're feeling adventurous, please do try out the unofficial Oreo roms, your feedback would surely help the developers and the community.

Hey guys! Some very talented developers have been working on unofficial releases for a while already, and I am unsure whether to go for their takes or wait until an Official version is released. Any predictions on when this might happen? Or should I just void my warranty and go for Vache's build? Thanks!!!
I might also like this. While Motorola says they will release Oreo for Potter, they seemingly haven't provided any timetable for that. I am a bit hesitant to install a LineageOS nightly on my daily driver, but I would love having the option, especially if it turns out that Motorola botches the Oreo upgrade.

I have been using Vache's/fAIyaZ 7.1.2 build for some days now. Only found one bug, Skype wouldn't manage to access the camera for video-chatting, but I found a solution for it (activating Camera 2 API from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/themes/potentially-google-camera-port-t3684264 ). Other than that, everything works perfectly (and a lot better than the Moto built-in tracking suite they ship the phone with).
Applying an unofficial fix to an unofficial port sounds a bit problematic. Do you think it would be possible for Vache/fAlyaZ to fix this in their port somehow? Or would it be more of a gapps thing? Or neither?
It seems so insane to me that there is no official LineageOS for Potter yet? I couldn't have even imagined that it wouldn't be released quickly when I bought the Moto G5 Plus - I though it is such a popular phone, so well reviewed for the price, able to be unlocked, etc. How can it no be better supported by the LineageOS team?
Sorry to necro this thread, but Oreo has now been officially released for Potter, after seemingly forever. What are the chances of getting an official 15.1 build for Potter any time soon?
I know Vache's unofficial build is much loved on here, and I think there's a 16.0 unofficial build I've seen flowing around as well, but some of us would rather go with an official build if one is available.
Don't mean to be a d*ck, but just follow the trending topics on the forum and you'll see where everyone has flocked to. At the moment I believe there's no need to program Lineage for Pie, when we have one extremely good AOSP based version online. Install the Pie version of the system that can be shot from a bow and never look back... Vache did a great job for as long as he did it, and a couple of other contributors too, so <3 thank you
now everyone seems to be somewhere else, that's how it goes
all the previous versions and knowledge gained from them kept being passed forward to ports from the next version of Android as well, so you'd have to look at Lineage Pie. Lineage16 seems to still be too raw for Potter, which means you likely won't see any official version soon. With Pie out, everyone's efforts turn to it, so you can see also that the 15.1 thread is pretty much dead.
Does anyone know where I can find the last OFFICIAL LineageOS image for the Nexus 4? I'm not interested in more recent unofficial builds. Thank you.

The last official builds of LOS 14.1 are still available for download from someone's ftp just using Wayback Machine. Unfortunately, all latest LOS 15.1 links are down now.
And here you can find one of the lasts — or maybe the last ever — official release of LOS 15.1 for Nexus 4.
Bro, I'm looking for it, but it seems that many official ones have stopped supporting it for a long time, but there are private ones. I have seen some that support Android 11. It should be the latest version. I haven't tried it yet. What do you think?
Thanks all. I flashed the Nexus 4 with the link Waldold provided above. Feels snappy and no showstoppers so far. Many thanks.
2021redmi2fans,
I am happier with older android releases, so I haven't been looking for private releases with more recent android versions. I just use f-droid.org for apps & no apps I've tried need anything so recent. I actually might even try an earlier release later on.
