Identify my head unit please! - Android Head-Units

Hi there, I'm trying to identify my unit to find out what I can do with it and how to customise the interface. I'm having real trouble with eventcenter messing up what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to use Nova launcher with KLWP as the interface which is set at the live wallpaper to work, but the system apps (phone, media, settings etc) keep resetting the wallpaper, I think it's eventcenter.apk that's doing this. Is there a way around this? I could use another launcher if that would work but I like KLWP as I can position everything with precise design.
Thanks

You have a Rockchip based Android 9 head unit, type PX30 RK3368. There isn't much you can do with this unit according to other users.
Best you can do is to upgrade to a more current, preferably MTCE-based Rockchip Head Unit that will allow you to run Malaysk MOD - which is simply amazing.

The unit is not an MTCD type.
The processor is actually an RK3399 [ PX6 ] processor and is adequate SOC.
I couldn't find any information on XDA regarding your head unit type.

Unfortunately I can't as there are no other android units for my car, that's a shame. Really just want to find out how to bypass the eventcenter hijacking everything

I guess I don't know what makes a unit MTCD or not, and if it's PX6, are there ROMs available?

Not that I could find here based on the information provided.
Unit looks odd ball.

This is frustrating, so the SOC is good but the MCU is an unknown basically?

Please read my reply again. I never stated his unit is MTCD. I said that he should get a new head unit, preferably of MTCE type.

Looking for advice on a Android head unit for my VW Touareg

I don't know why I didn't just come to XDA first. I recently picked up a 2008 VW Touareg. The factory Nav system has to go, it's like playing a 8-bit video game and don't even get me started on how tedious it is using the search function without touch screen controls.
What I am looking for in a head unit:
Obviously running Android OS
Customizing ability, aka rooting, custom ROM and/or Launcher. I here THIS launcher is good, but I don't know if it works with all Android head units.
Backup Camera support (a bonus would be to be able to keep my OEM camera)
DVR to use with dash cameras
Steering wheel control support
Ability to install 3rd party apk's as well as use the Google Play store for apps.
It seems all the Android head units have one thing in common, they are all weird companies I've never heard of from China and the support I get is very limited when I have questions. Even if I go to Alibaba there are like 10 radios that all look the same. It also seems they all do about the same thing and have the same look so knowing what is what is not easy. This is where I am hoping you guys can help.
I have my eye on the company Seicane. They make THIS unit that will fit right in with no dash mods but the downside is a smaller screen. So with that said, I am leaning to a full double din radio but a lot of these are universal and don't say specifically if they work for my make/model car. I attached a pic of my OEM head unit if it helps.

Thanks in advance for any answers you have.
I don't have any experience with the seicane or other android units yet (i'm looking at getting my first one now as well). That seicane unit should just drop right in with no issue which is nice. Other standard double din units should work, but you'll need to use a dash install kit. Be careful though. From what i've been reading it sounds like a lot of these chinese units are a slightly different size than standard double din. larger by a couple mm I think. They still fit, but you may have to modify the dash kit a bit to fit it.

Hi,
I'm also experiencing some issues with the same unit as yours. After numerous amount of research i couldn't find a better place for help. I'm having a problem with my E60 Android 7.1.1 HU. The UI change from BMW ID6 UI to BMW Evo UI(ID5). This occurred after a weird system startup. Also i lost the ability to control it via the idrive rotating knob. There's a section under settings where after entering a pin you'll be able to change whats called "Mode Set" this is where you select what UI you want the system to use. There used to be at least 5 options one being the BMW Evo New ID6 but i no longer see it. I only see 3 options now(BMW NBT, an Audi one and BMW Evo). I really don't know what happened and how can I get the ID6 UI back. Attached are pics of my system information.

ram is 3gb.
No one here has a crystall ball to know what you unit is, from the hundreds of made up models and brands, that could be different units even from the same seller.
Curious, what does the seller suggest when contacted for support.
Post images of Android system information including mcu version
I think the unit you have is a TS10 Android Head Unit. The model number you mentioned comes up on my Googleplay account as the head unit I have.
If it is then you can update the software on the unit provided it is connected to wifi.
For those who ask, how do I identify my Joying head unit? I only know the following:
SKU: JY-UQD13N6G-R
13.3" Joying
mfr. sprd
model. ums 512_1h10_Natv
I have the same model number on my Atoto A6 head unit.

Tap Setting -> system -> About ( Something like that ) and take a Screenshoot or photo what your headunit display. and upload here...
Maybe someone who read this thread know or recognize your type of head unit and you can follow up what information you get.

Thanks in front!
I have this one as well. I reached out to the vendor and they sent me an upgrade to Android 13. After downloading it I noticed it was 64kB. After messing around with strings on the file it's of course just a script that changes my version number. I'm still going back and forth with them as I bought this one because it stated it was on 13.
At this point, I'm starting to look for Android Radio ROMS but who knows.... perhaps the vendor will surprise me and send a real update.

Newbie Question: What kind of headunit do I have?

Hi all
New here, so please be kind ;-)
I've purchased the following headunit from Aliexpress. It is the 12.3" 6G128G LTE Carpl 360 model. It is for a 2011 Toyota Prado 150 Kakadu with navigation system, amplifier and factory 360 cameras.
I downloaded the AIDA64 app which states the Manufacturer is sprd and model ums512 1h10_Natv and brand is SPRD.
Figuring this was a Spreadtrum model I went to the General FYT based Spreadtrum uis7862 (unisoc ums512) - Q&A, Mods, tips, firmware page and read through things there. The first thing I did then was download the HWGet_Info.apk app and ran it on my headunit. The response was "I did not find any FYT properties. This means your unit is NOT a FYT compatible unit. It stops here."
So this is where I'd like some pointers as to where to start please.
I'm attaching a couple of photos which hopefully might help.
Kind regards
Michael

AIDA is not helpful for Android car radios.
Important is the System Setting page you showed in the first 2 pics.
It is stated there...
You got a TS10 unit. If you use the search function in this forum you will find a lot of different threads regarding this kind of unit.
--> https://forum.xda-developers.com/se...c[child_nodes]=1&c[nodes][0]=4267&o=relevance
Thanks so much Rigatoni...I've started having a bit of a read. A lot to learn.
I appreciate your help
Cheers Michael
Have the same car type and the same head unit type. I managed to install it but no steering wheel controls and the sound plays with gaps (2-3 second play silence fot some seconds again play). Cameras work, original cd plays fine, temperature control works. Did you manage to install yours?
Hi Ovic, yes I got it all installed OK. The only thing which doesn't work straight out of the box is the steering wheel volume controls which is not biggie as I can reach over to the know right next to the steering wheel anyway. I don't get any sound gaps although occasionally I get no sound at all. I find switching to the bluetooth setting and pairing again (even though already paired) fixes things.
I mostly use wireless CarPlay and it works a treat.

Android 12 Head Unit uis8581a aux auto switch setting

Hi all,
I am new to the forum. I just bought one of these Android 12 radio unit for my Mercedes GL450. Everything is working so far. I get the original car interface and I get the Android side with the AUX input.
The only thing that I can't figure out is how to have it auto switch to AUX when I go to the Android side. I have googled and seen that other units can do auto switch but there are auto-aux switch setting that needs to be changed. The seller only gave me the 8888 password and that doesn't seem to have that setting.
Anyone have any idea if this is possible? Is there another password for more detailed factory settings?
Thanks!

Please consult with your seller first, explain your situation, he will be more helpfull than searching on your own for hours.
I have this exact head unit for BMW. My code (8888) works when I hit thr settings button on the home screen, then I click factory settings and enter code. This is separate from the android settings. Oh, and I had to switch to AUX in the ORIGINAL OS, so change it to the Mercedes screen (mine switches when I hold the menu button down for 3 seconds)
