Acc. Button gone on navbar finally! - OnePlus 8 Pro Questions & Answers

I froze android acc. Suite in titanium a while back trying to get rid of it on the navbar...
Never worked until I put my phone into safe mode and restarted it back up on back to the 3 buttons. I had to redo edxposed but if anyone wants to verify this works ?
All I know is that button is gone on my navbar finally

I might be dumb, but what is the acc. button on navbar?
I don't understand.
Is it the gesture to open Google assistant?

The bottom of the dude waving on the right side of navbar.

Will be coming back to confirm.
The little stick figure bottom right notification bar accessibility thing...
If your rooted freeze it, boot to safe mode and back and he will be gone
If your running edexposed, uninstall that and riru and redo installation to get back.
I'm on a new phone and just did it again

Menu Disappearing in CM7

Is anyone else having an issue with CM7 where the right combination of gestures or touches while cause the menu bar to disappear? I have no idea how to reproduce it, or how to recover from it (short of a reboot) but it's happened at least 4 times i as many weeks.
Just curious if something is corrupt with my install or if it's a common issue.
If the bar is just invisible (the buttons still work, but there are no graphics), just rotate the screen and they should come back.
If you've touched the double-chevron button and the status bar went away, an app has requested fullscreen mode and the chevrons grant the request. Hit "home" to get somewhere that isn't fullscreen. You can pick an "un-hide" button and do other similar things in Settings/Tablet Tweaks, look for "Disable Fullscreen" and "Choose unhide button".
If neither of the above holds, your statusbar has crashed. There's an app that's supposed to bring it back, but that never worked properly for me. I have to reboot.
This hasn't happened to me in recent nightlies, but I'm not positive that the problem is really gone yet.

I've had the menu bar disappear while certain apps were open, preventing me from accessing the app menu and had to use the 'n' button to get out. To get around this I am using Button Savior.

That's my situation. The status bar / buttons disappear, so I hit the physical home button (the N as in Nook button), but the bar is still gone. This was happening on 7.0.3... i just installed 7.1 RC1 and haven't had it happen yet... we'll see.

Go to Settings/CyanogenMod settings/Tablet Tweaks, and check to see that you have the "Disable fullscreen" option checked. That prevents apps from overriding the status bar visibility. Additionally, you can setup an "unhide" button in case you accidentally hit the chevron or otherwise lose the Tablet Tweaks status bar.

Because you say "menu bar" and later on say you press the N button and they are still missing I believe you are talking about the ADW menu buttons (the launcher and apps buttons). If that is what you are referrinng to then you should go into ADW settings and uncheck the hidden taskbar option. By default it is checked.
can reproduce it on my EVO
I found out how to make the menu disappear, but cannot make it reappear.
I have an EVO 4G (original supersonic) and I am able to make the bottom home menu disappear using a downward swipe. I've done this accidentally quite a few times. (I'm referring to the Phone/Square/World Icons that launch the primary apps)
However, I do not know how to make it come back. I have been able to swipe randomly and get it to reappear, but I do not know what combination actually causes this.
The only way I know how to bring it back for sure, is a reboot. I wish I knew what that swipe combination was to restore the menu

By "Menu Bar", do you mean the the Dock where you can access the App Drawer?
If this is it, then you just have to swipe it up. But to just to warn you, it is "VERY HARD" to get the right swipe for it to show again. Trust me, I tried. Best solution would be to disable the "HIDE" Capability of the Dockbar by going into Settings>ADWLauncher>UI Settings Go down to Hidden Dockbar and disable Dockbar.

other than using the power button to turn it on, and crossing my fingers that this will get re-enabled in Android 4.5/5 around July/August, no :/
Also annoyed that the auto-brightness+ setting is now gone, but that at least was fixable through the Lux app.
Brightness button did not disappear on mine. Sprint S4
Any solution for the home button?
It's a world wide issue with all tw KitKat updates.

Couple alternatives. Wanam with Xposed could fix it. Also, a different launcher would let you set it too.

Thx bud,
I don't think that the prob is from the launcher, as it doesn't work with other launchers neither (I don't use TW, also it is working normally with s-view cover opened).
I have Wanam with xposed, but don't find any option like that... could you help me out? Thx a lot!
I found another strange issue, don't know if you have it , too. If I deactivate auto-unlock when I open s-view cover, it still unlocks when I open it... even after restart.
Edit: Found the solution for other issue: Nils Notification was set to always unlock when cover opened, nothing to do with rom... My fault

In Wanam, under System, there is a section for Long Home key behavior, can you not, Launch S Voice from there?
I use Google Now, and this is how I launch that.
As for S-view, I can't help with that, I dont have that.

Disable Home Button Completely

Hello, all. I'm trying to disable the home button. I've tried everything I've read and searched up, it's a no-go. It doesn't wake the phone which is halfway there but it still functions after the lockscreen. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

let's me see
It didn't work for any of the capacitive buttons nor the home. But I'm already good with the capacitives through another method. Hardware home seems impenetrable. Anything else?
All right. I finally got it! I edited gpio-keys.kl (separate from the rest of the buttons from down there for some reason) and I added a # in front of key 172 HOME and saved it.

Slightly wet the button area, now the home button keeps triggering non stop.

Slightly wet the button area, now the home button keeps triggering non stop. Everything else works fine.
Ive tried the following solutionsb
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/general/guide-oneplus-2-home-button-dead-t3324321
Phone is currently sitting in a bag of rice so let's see how that goes.
Meanwhile, can anybody think of a way to disable the home button (perhaps through terminal or something)? Because the phone would basically be usable.. I know there are button settings, so if only I could somehow put home button as "no action".

The thing is the constant pressing of home button makes me not able to navigate anywhere.
The only place I can actually do something is in recovery, because the home button doesn't actually do anything.
If there's a way I can enable it in terminal in recovery mode that would be great.

Hope the moisture dries out and your fingerprint reader starts working normally
Tip of advice for everyone who has problems with the fingerprint reader after it got wet or started to get crazy for any weird reasons at all.
Drain the phone battery until it dies. Then try to boot it up to drain even the last power in it.
Then recharge the phone.
By draining the battery and recharghing it you reset the phone's sensors.
Be lucky some of you aren't living in a country like me where the weather is moist all the time. I had to do this method thrice this week ??

Modify long press on home button

Hello,
I have modified Xiaomi A1 as I want, but there is a last thing missing. I want to lock the phone by holding the home button in the navigation bar.
I am on stock version so far and I want to use it for some time. Is there a magisk module or any app that modifies the actions on the buttons at navigation bar?
Thank you

Have you tried Gravitybox? You can map hardware keys (tap, long press and double tap) You'll need Xposed.
Thanks man.
I have used gravity on my previous phone but solved my question through Tasker . But tasker doesn't do the same here in xiaomi a1.
I need a simpler solution than that of gravity. Hope someone gets an idea.
You can use button mapper app. I have remapped all navbar keys and it works without any issues.

Where have you been my friend? Great. This get things done and I am using. I wish there was a slightly simpler way like a magisk script, but I got the correct reply.
The only annoying thing that I can't get rid in this phone, is that when I restart, it does not ask for my Pin. I know it has something to do with the magisk script I use to unlock phone by a fingerprint, but haven't solved it yet.
Remove and re-apply your PIN in security settings and enable secure start-up again. As soon as you enable app with accessibility service (as for example button mapper), secure start-up is automatically disabled (there is some vague warning, but very easily missed or misinterpreted). Accessibility service was designed to help visually impaired people and this service is available only after phone has booted up, so this is why PIN/pattern can't be requested at boot time for them.
