I acquired a t-mobile one plus 6t last month that is carrier unlocked and I have a few questions concerning converting it to global. First question is if anyone is running the android 11 stable release on a converted 6t? If so have you ran into any issues?
I do have a bootloader unlock token but I found the method that doesn't require one. Does it matter whether I use the conversion method that requires the token or not? Any pros vs cons of the different methods? Thanks for any input you can offer, it's greatly appreciated.

I installed oos11 on my 6T,
Battery drained much quicker than oos10.
Better wait for more reliable battery release.

Is your 6t converted from T-Mobile to global? Was you using a custom recovery to flash and did you do a total wipe for a clean install?
I read one report of battery drain after a dirty flash but they said after a factory reset it seemed to improve. I am still running TMobile firmware so I think I will go ahead and convert but only upgrade to oos 10 so I don't end up having to downgrade over battery drain. Did you end up downgrading back to oos 10?

I recently bought a OnePlus 5 with h2Os . I flashed it to oxygen OS using stock recovery. The problem is that the phone keeps on rebooting randomly from time to time.
I have tried several fresh flashes. Wipes. Factory reset but to no use. I wonder if there is any catch when flashing from H2Os to O2 OS . Or is my device faulty ?
I didn't check thoroughly if the behavior was the same on H2Os.
Any leads , help , guidance ?
Do you had this problem with the preinstalled h2Os?
I did not check. I flashed O2 as soon as I got home. So I can't say if it misbehaved on hydrogen os.
Have you downloaded the OxygenOS firmware from oneplus net?
Yes. From official website

Try to download even the official recovery and flash with that even if it seems equal... Otherwise i think you've to reflash h2os and test the phone and if the problem occurs again maybe the device is defective but without tests we have no answers :fingers-crossed:

Has there been reports of such faults on op5 ? I will probably be returning it tomorrow. But now I am afraid if the next op5 I get would be trouble free or not.

I've never heard about this issue before but i'm only one, maybe try at the support forum on oneplus net
I think it has to do with unlocking bootloader and root. I erased everything, went back to stock rom and relocked bootloader and no reboot today.
So I didn't use the LG Bridge to update my LG-H870DS. I was so eager to update to Oreo that I used a VPN and tried over the air and I got this update V20a-SEA-XX which I obviously downloaded and installed. Everything was going well after installation except the camera. Since the update, using the flash has caused my photos to come out a weird colour, almost over contrasted. What can I do about this?
Please help because I use my phone camera a lot.
Dude how ???? I want oreo too in my h870ds

Since upgrading to Oreo I keep getting a no sim error. Rebooting the phone seems to bring it back but it's happening every day. I've done a bit of googling and it seems there are other devices with the same issue.
I'm not certain it's the Oreo update but it's only happened since upgrading.
*Solved* Downgrade from oreo on LG G6/H870DS
I experienced exactly the same issue.
LG pulled out the update for G6/H870DS.
I had to downgrade LG G6 using LG UP and Uppercut Tool
Be sure to download the pevious .kdz file to downgrade.

Thanks for this, since downgrading using this method I'm no longer getting the no sim error. Removing the passwords didn't help at all though, it still corrupted the data. Thankfully I made a backup before starting so recovered pretty quickly. One issue I am having is a few apps are crashing when I try to open them, clearing the cache and app data has worked for some but not all. Looks like because of the locked bootloader I'm going to have to factory reset as there is no way to clear the cache partition ?. To anyone else who follows this method I would advise factory reset once you've flashed Nougat, oh and take a backup using bridge.

Do you experience any changes in battery life for better or worse.
Right now am on nougat and have adb removed all the bloatware and it's running pretty smooth and around 4-5h sot lasts me through the day. Want to hear if it;s any better on oreo before updating.

I am kind of new to the rooting world. I rooted my previous phone, a huawei honor 8 and had pretty good results. I used the magisk root. I've been thinking about rooting my new 6t and was wondering if you guys think it would be better to wait until there's more on it, or if it's fine now. Also, with my limited experience, how would I be able to keep getting the new software updates since the 2 week old software is not exactly polished? Any advice would be appreciated!
unlock bootloader, fastboot boot twrp***.img, adb sideload latest magisk, reboot. rooted mine 10min after unboxing.

How do software updates work? With my previous rooted phone it couldn't do it normally while rooted and I would have to install every update by finding it online and installing it thru twrp. Is this the same with the 6t or can you just normally get software updates the same as if it wasn't rooted?
No change, OTA updates, rooted or not. OnePlus is cool like that.
That's assuming you don't have the TMO variant

Greetings everyone,
I have been using a G4 Plus (indian retail unit) since 2017 and was on Nougat for years now. The phone never got Oreo for me. I tried using this trick from the thread to successfully upgrade to Oreo. Now, ever since the upgrade, I haven't had any issues apart from the battery. On Nougat, I used to get atleast 4.5 hours on screen time and 5 at max usage. I'm a moderate user. I charge the phone early in the morning. Now, it has been reduced to 3 hours 42 minutes on an average. I have my GPS Turned off, Screen Brightness and everything related adjusted. And the figures above are without battery saver. I don't want to downgrade as I like the Oreo UI and fluidity of the OS. The phone heats up at points when CPU usage is a bit high. Not a huge issue for me though. Anything I can do fix the battery life?

If you have upgraded with method 2 you most likely upgraded the bootloader too hence downgrading to nougat and downgrading the bootloader bricks your device. If you don't downgrade the bootloader it should work correct @echo92?

You need to skip the bootloader when flashing with fastboot.
But wait for echo92 to confirm :highfive:

So, I have a T-Mobile branded 6t. I was running Havoc OS 2.9 Pie. My device is full unlocked(bootloader AND sim). I decided I wanted to wipe everything and msm back to stock then go to OOS and then back to Havoc 2.9 Pie. I've done this so many times its easy lol. But the weird this is, I had something unexpected happen. After I msm to OOS, I did a local update as usual to the last version of Pie. After everything was successful, before I flashed twrp, I got a notification that OOS 10 was ready to install. Not a scam/virus/malware. My question is this, what would have happened if I upgraded to Over the air update instead of local? Remember, I have a T-Mobile branded 6t

Nobody is answering my question lol. My phone is T-Mobile branded, so will the OOS 10 update work? Normally we can't get an update notification because its branded and not from Oneplus, so how was I able to get this notification?
I read earlier this month that someone had tried to ota the way you're asking about and it didn't work. From what I remember they had to msm back.
I've been on 9.0.17 with 0 issues and got the update notice yesterday. I DLed the full update available here and did the local upgrade following the instructions in the ultimate guide. It went ok. My only issues are ctsProfile false and the Play store not certified. I would have rather stayed on 9.0.17. I'm not sure what those issues would mean for you going to Havoc.
