install a application from play store called HiddenSettings. Look for it in that.

Unfortunately, no one of them match my case

I have a Toyota Tacoma. Not sure exactly what head unit I have and it looks different then yours. But the hidden menu opens when I start the truck then hold down the "Audio button" while turning on and off the headlights 3 times.

the only thing i figured out is that the Extra Settings menu has two passwords ...123456 which open some features and 8888 which open User Settings.
is it possible that there is a third password that will lead to the Factory setting Menu ?

[Q] How to check if phone is refurbished?

Hi,
I've been searching for a way on how to check if the unit has been serviced (refurbished)? Are there codes of some sort that we can use or a hidden menu that will show this information?

I believe you can download phone info by samsung then you can check there if your phone is original or refurbished

Dial ##786# or *#*#786#*#* go to view and scroll down if there is big Yes then your phone is refurbished if NO then your phone is not. Google it for better understanding.
I try both of this code and it's not working for me.

Notification when I press Power Button

Hello ...
I have the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) with Android 6.0.1 from Saturday (NOT rooted ... yet). After a lot of hours searching and setup I have this "problem":
When I press the PowerButton for 2-3 seconds to show the options: Reboot/ShutDown/SafeMode it sounds the Messages notification !! How can I disable this?
Thanks in advance.
I still cannot disable it (without reset the phone)
I wonder if this notification is by default ....???
Thanks

Dunno if you can remove it without root, but you can do it with root. You find system sounds at /system/media/audio/ui. There you should find the sound file regarding power menu, then delete it and reboot and that's it.
@zavag
I try to turn it on to reproduce your problem but In my case, I can not even find out how I can turn it on.
Can you tell me...
How you activated it?
On which build are you?
@Henkate
I think it would be rather embarrassing for Samsung if you can not even personalize a notification tone without major changes to the system.
By the way, even if I do not actually think of TouchWiz. For me it's just ugly and overbloat!
I really don't know how it activated. The phone is new and ... you know ... I was searching a lot of settings in order to setup as I like. I googled it ... I found some infos but it didn't work.
On the other hand I don't want to reset (and most I don't want to root it from now) because I spent a lot of hours to set it up.

Know what you mean! I think if there is really no other way you are at minimum able to backup your settings in almost any app.
Maybe you like to inform about adb based backup solutions like declared here:
https://www.droidwiki.de/wiki/Backup/Ohne_Root
I also found a tool called Ultimate Backup on XDA:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1844032
If you don't have access to a Linux or at least Windoof computer you can maybe search for how to use adb through androids buit in Linux command shell. Don't know if there is a workaround.
But in my opinion it is already poor from Samsung if one must operate such an effort in order to turn off a notification!

Help with Head Unit YT9250 - MCU HW8227L - 2+16Gb

Hi,
I just discovered that my Android head unit is RDS, as it displays Stations' Names in the Scroll down menu.
Unfortunately the Radio App itself is quite ugly and doesn't displays any Name, so I wonder if there is a different Radio App I could install on it that could show RDS
Thanks
Edit, HU is 2+16Gb

I had a look at my head unit hidden files, and I found a second app called FM RADIO 2.0 that is 10 times bigger than the standard Radio App 1.0 that is the one normally used by the OS.
I suspect the bigger one could be and RDS version but, unfortunately, I can't launch it as it is greyed out the oprion.... any idea?

Help with 360 camera in Bosion Android HU

Hi, I bought a Bosion HU for my 2016 Xtrail equipped with a factory 360 camera (birds eye view camera).
I'm having trouble making this work in the head unit. I can't see anything wrong with the wiring.
The unit is configured for AMV and the 360 camera app is available, but there is no image.
The APP shows as status unactivated. But I have no idea how to activate it. (Presuming that might the issue).
Is anyone familiar with that or has an idea of what might be wrong?
Hi
I have been looking at this unit for my 2016 xtrail, did you manage to get it working and would you recommend it.
Thanks
Mat

Looks like you need to connect your head unit to internet connection (phone hotspot) and activate the app by scanning the qr code with your phone.

It looked straight forward at first. I've connected my unit to internet and tried to scan the qr code. But the qr content is just a short unique id and doesn't give you much clues of how to get the activation code.
I've downloaded the wechat app, but the app also doesn't do anything special with the qr code. It just shows the short uniqueid as a string.
Apparently, there's one thing called wechat app, but it only seems available in China.

Nope, I've ordered a new canbus in hpe the one shipped originally was not handling the cameras correctly, but still can't make it work.
Does anyone know if there's any 360 camera app that be installed and doesn't need activation?

Yes, but the seller didn't help.
He just shared a couple o videos that shows how to configure the AMV, which makes the 360 camera appear in the menu.
Even after I insisted asking about the activation process, he just said I needed to follow the instructions on the screen.
My impression is that he has no idea.

Junsun V1 Pro - custom development

Currently I try to build an app which uses the native C libraries to read data from the MCU. If this works it will open a new dimension of custom app development.
Currently I try to read which SWC button was pressed. In this first aproach I focus on SWC without can box but I think it would be adaptable for can, too.
Please let me know if that sounds interesting for you and if you are willing to try a test app on your head unit.

I attached a test app to first post.
Start the app and its button. Then press a button on your steering wheel (e.g. volume) and see if "key: 0" changes to something else.
I've tried it on every button but the value doesn't change. It stays at 0.

Attached apk opens a can and SWC related activity of Junsuns MainUI application. You may want to test what they're hiding from us...
Unfortunately I can't try myself because I don't use can box - as you already know.

Because it is programmed that way in canbus or memory orf head unit.
(root directory - one that you don't see - device must be rooted for super access or engineer mode, then download some file manager from play store and go inside root directory find and edit file responsible for SWC)
You can edit or copy paste or write on root directory a new file.
Even if you can edit it is encrypted or coded for access.
All things can be imported (buttons phisycal of device , SWC, random integrated apps etc.) as a file or number of files into device memory or thru import button on factory settings.

Nevertheless the C library should provide us different values. 0 means no information and editing such a file will not help in current case/investigation.
