All sound works except Bluetooth calls - Android Head-Units

Hi All, I recently installed an Android unit into my Mini Cooper (R56). Everything is working great. I have all audio (beeps/clicks from button presses, in app sound, a2dp from my phone, radio....). I have the buzzer/chime secondary speaker working.. All that is great.
In the phone app on the unit I can make calls, sync my phone book. All that works.
The only thing that doesn't seem to work is audio during calls. I can't hear anything!
Can someone help me understand how phone audio typically works? Does the sound come through the car stereo? Front only? Rears? Through the extra speaker? Unfortunately this didn't come with a manual that details those specifics.
Any advice or help to point me in the right direction would be great. Thanks in advance!
Here's the unit I bought. Not sure if I'm allowed to post Amazon links but if you google the part number WS-D0404 you'll see it...

As always, minimum is Android system information, especially MCU version. Not sure anyone that read/contributes here will want to research your unit for you.

Do you have the front speakers connected?
On most of these head units, bluetooth calls and nav info is routed to the front speakers only.
If you have only rear speakers in your vehicle, then connect the head unit's front speaker output instead of the rear.

Hmm, the fronts are connected, but I haven't verified the content. There's sound coming from them, but I'll mess with the balance/fade to ensure each speaker has what should be coming from it. Thanks for the suggestion!

duh
It is for an amp to run your "mid range speakers"
Midrange "speakerS??
Never heard of a "midrange speaker" output on a head unit before..... and I have had lots of them.
If that's what it is, It would be a first.
What did the reseller say about it?

After 2 emails and no answers, I gave up asking
Interesting...
There seems to be a bit more detail in the sales description...
Special Features
Fast boot functions, 1 Second ( warm start only)
Build in GPS/Wifi/Radio
Two Camera input ,front/rear
Full HDMI output for headrest
1 Sub 1 Mid 4 Audio Output (2V)
3 USB output ,1.5A Each
RGB button illuminations

So it's definitely an audio output and it's output I believe is higher. I believe the standard gain output on the RCA's for these android head units is 1.4 volts.
What result do you get when plugging an amp/speakers into it?
It's a center channel for a single speaker like on a home theater 5.1 surround sound system. Notice there's only 1 channel for the sub as well. They have the same thing on Ownice K3 but they used the correct name.

That's the only thing that makes sense to me, but why you would have one on an automotive head unit and where you would actually mount a 'center' channel is beyond me. Subwoofers you can mount just about anywhere because low frequencies are not very directional. But once you get into "mid" and particularly high frequencies, they're highly directional and speaker location becomes somewhat crucial.
It is quite interesting none the less.
It might be fun to play around with it. Problem is I drive a jeep. Not much room in a jeep and you can't attach things to the (removable) top or have speakers in the (removable) doors.
Is it possible on Dasaita MAX6, to play the audio mp3 track present on a USB stick and make them come out from the HDMI output?

I am interested too, I have connected the HDMI output to a monitor with speakers and no audio was audible. I'm researching about HDMI output spec for PX6.
Any help is appreciated.
Got my max6 yesterday. Both the green and blue are labelled Sub for me. But newer cars have a center speaker dedicated to calls, so I'm guessing mid is a full range center output which you COULD use for a sub? probably going to hook up the center as the second input to save me using an RCA Y- splitter for my two channel amp to drive my two subs.

Did you find any solution?
Hi! I have the same problem with TPMS device USB connectivity with Android multimedia head unit. I tried everything, but so far no result.
Did you find any solution?
Hi! I have exact the same product and i see exact the same pictures, that means I have the same issue on my head unit PX6 with Android 11. I also updated the app to the newer version without any result. Any idea someone?
Hi, I didn't solve the issue. I have tried TPMS on two other car Android multimedia with Android 6 and 7 versions, but without any success.
Do you guys own the TPMS from the head unit seller?
If not there is most probably the issue.
There are wo many aftermarket TPMS... and the head unit supplier just implements their own stuff. Also OEM TPMS are mostly not supported.
TPMS is not from the head unit seller. Supposedly it should work with Android car aftermarket multimedia, but it seems that's not the case.

Exactly!
If I have a look at the provided pictures... It seems to be clear: The TPMS on the wheels are not connected. They need to get activated wheel by wheel.
So go through the settings of this app and try to get them activated. Ask the reseller how to activate if that is not written anywhere. If this is not possible: Send them back and get your money back.

Sorry, byt this is not correct. I 've tried everything, but the problem is not the avtivation of the sensors. The usb receiver can not be recognized by the HU. The app runs, you can choose the wheel sensor to connect, but nothing happens. The power light on the receiver flashes as before, and nothing more. Thanks anyway!

Help with Chinese Android Headunit XY Auto 8227L (audio problem)

Hey guys,
I've recently bought a 2nd hand car from a private sale, Honda Accord Euro R 2007 which came with those android headunit thing from aliexpress which I've seen few on this website.
However my problem is that when bluetooth is connected, the connection is fine (I can use the headunit to change songs etc) however there is no audio produced from the car speakers when playing through bluetooth.
I can play the radio and sound will come out fine but whenever I try to play something through bluetooth no audio is played, previous owner said when he had it installed from a specialist they couldn't get it working either so was wondering if you guys had any suggestions.
Also i don't know if this is the case for you guys as well but the volume for the radio (the only thing that makes sound currently) when it goes from 0 to 1 it's extremely loud, like it's not a subtle change from no sound to little sound, it just goes from no volume to Very loud as the first option.. is there some firmware update that can fix this problem as well as the bluetooth issue that I am having? Maybe you guys think it's the wiring at the back?
Specs for my headunit are below:
Android: YT9216C_AHD_00005_V004_20190522_HIFI
System: Android 8.1 Go
Kenel: 3.18.22
CAN Pro: Daojun-Accord7 Single-V4.7.2-connect
DDR: 1G
Flash: 16GB
CPU: A7 1.3Ghz x 4
Capacitance: 10000 uF
Display: 1024*600
MCU1: HW8227L-3.3-SW0-3.0
I've also attached photos of the above. Any suggestions or comments will be very helpful as I honestly don't know what to do and before I replace it I would like to try get it working if possible.
Thank you for your time!

If you have an external amp, the blue antenna wire is probably used to turn on the amp. This only has power when using the radio app. You must change the wire over to the red ACC wire so the amp is turned on when the car is started. I had to do this on mine today.

My 8227L unit had an antenna wire with about 10V when the radio app was running... But it also had an amp wire that could be enabled somewhere in settings (amp=on) I think it was in factory settings but I can't really remember.
TboneL's suggested fix should also work just fine.
This would be awsome if I could do that in mine. I have a Peugeot 407 SW with the 8227L Android, and no sound plays whatsoever. As I've read, I need to connect the AMP-C wire coming from the car connector to the ACC red wire. Or if it has a way to achieve this through software, would be great. I searched everywhere in the options but can't find it.

Android stereo bluetooth problems, Rootable?

Bought a no name android stereo, well I bought 2 ( different moddels) my main goal is to use it as a screen for the ecu master software so I can see the parameters of my engine. It connects to cars aftermarket ecu via a canbus bluetooth modul, its not like ur usual obd2 dongle. True problem is that the first stereo has no pairing built in to the software. The aecond one is really nice (Android 10) doesn’t feel cheap like the other ones on wish. But the Bluetooth doesn’t want to pair at all to it. Not trough the ecu app or the androids blutooth settings…. I know several people on YouTube that has found wish hud’s that has been able to do this. Sorry for bad english

Looking at a Android headunit for a 2007 Porsche 911 Carrera S. Owtosin looks to be the ticket! Few questions before I order

Looking at the following unit from Aliexpress. Link to the unit on Aliexpresswhich is pretty well supported on Rennlist porsche forums Rennlist forum link
1. In real world usage, is there a huge difference between PX6 and Qualcomm 665? I know it's way more powerful but I am just using this for Waze, Spotify Android Auto, Rear view camera/DVR camera while driving.
2. This unit is more expensive than other similar units. It seems like it has overall better quality. Is it worth the 200$ premium vs other units? Other ones have the same porsche physical volume knobs and illuminated buttons etc. If you have any other units I should look at happy to have a look!
3. Are there any higher quality backup cameras or front cameras people can point me to?
4. Has anyone used Harry's lap timer with one of these devices and can comment on the functionality?
5. I am having a hard time understanding Wireless Android Auto. Do these come with Native wireless android Auto or is it even worth using?
6. Assuming I don't use android auto, each time I get into the car do I have to tether my phone to the device to have life traffic and spotify etc working? Not planning on getting a sim card for this.
7. Any comments on the call quality audio? Good working bluetooth phone calls are really important for me. Happy to pay extra for a good quality microphone if anyone has any reccomendations.
Thanks for all the help!
I don't know if you have pulled the handle on this, but let me give you my experince.
1. I have little idea. I do know that if you are running Android Auto (which it does well both wired and wireless) the major processor usage is on teh phone, not the head unit.
2. This unit seems very well made. Feels like quality to me. If you can afford a 997, you can afford $200 for the best unit.
3. The backup and fron camera are great. I fitted both. They are the drill and push fit ones.
4. No
5. Wired and wireless both work well.
6. Yes. However I got a $6 a month data sim from Tello and that works. I then run Life360 and I can track my 997 from my phone.
7. Voice quality is great even with the roof down. However I should note that I am using a Kenwood microphone that was already installed.
W.r.t Bluetooth, the unit does have an issue with connecting to some BT devices. It seems to be with low power LE devices like my Valentine1 radar detector or my OBDII transceiver. I confident this wouldn't apply to any phine, and I'd like to think this can be fixed. Seems to be an issue with several Chinese units.
One other comment. I dod something really stupid when installing and needed a part to fix it. Owtosin (Bob Luo) stepped up and got me running again. They seem to have great support.
