Viper 4 Android works fine when you use Magisk v16 and install it from the Magisk app Module section.
Choose Shadysquirrel's module.
Make sure you do a fresh install of The RR rom since you might have just too much installed and thing's got borked up.
And to be sure you also might Freeze the audio fx app (didn't had to do it tough)
Hope that helps
Skolotaie,,I will try Sir,But not working v4a.again and again wanting V4a driver installing on every boot up.My Phone is unning without any audio fx on this rom.

[HOW TO] Xperia XZ2 Sound System for Redmi Note 3 aka kenzo + ALL DEVICES

Most of you must have read about this port which was featured in XDA News Portal by XDA senior member sirdoha.
The original thread mentions that this port works on ALL DEVICES. This audio mod is, I must say, one of the best if not the BEST audio mod Redmi Note 3 had ever got or will ever get. There are 3 different ways you can get this to work but here I will discuss the easiest and the safest way to achieve this, which is by using magisk.
Before you proceed, know what you're doing. Backup the files before deleting them. To be on the safest side, take a NANDROID backup in case something goes wrong.
Lets get started. The things you will need :
1. Your phone rooted with magisk.
2. Sony Music (Walkman) Magisk module by utkarshp64 ( Just search for Sony-Music4Magisk in Magisk Manager and install it )
3. Magisk Edition of Xperia XZ2 Sound System. (go to the download section and download it because I can't post the links from the original post here)
Things you need to uninstall first :
1. AudioFX/MusicFX
HOW TO : With any file manager with ROOT access, go to " (root)/System/priv-app/ and delete AudioFX/MusicFX .... Screenshots are attached below.
2. Other audio mods like Viper4Android or Dolby Atmos. If you are using these as a magisk module then just disable them.
Once you have completed the above steps :1. Go to RECOVERY MODE
2. Select the Magisk Editon XZ2 zip file and flash it. Then clear Dalvik and Cache.
P.S : YOU MUST FLASH THIS FILE THROUGH RECOVERY. FLASHING IT WITH MAGISK MANAGER WON'T WORK!
3. Reboot your system. This might take a few minutes, be patient.
4. Now you should see a new Music app which is Sony Music/Walkman.
5. After rebooting, play a song in Walkman, lock your phone, wait for 5 seconds then turn the screen on again, all Sony Sound Effects features will be activated and work flawlessly. Remember to repeat this step after every reboot.
6. Open it and go to Settings-->Audio Settings and you should see DSEE HX, - ClearAudio+, S-Force, XLOUD, Clear Phase, Clear Stereo, Clear BASS, VPT, Headphone Automatic Optimization, LDAC.
6. Enable what you desire and you should hear the new crystal clear, mellow, resonant music!
HELP ! I DON'T NOTICE ANY DIFFERENCE EVEN AFTER ENABLING THE TOGGLES AND THE 5 SECOND METHOD DOES NOT WORK EITHER.
PS : MAKE SURE YOU DISABLE ANY EQUALIZER IN ANY OTHER MUSIC APP OR SET THE DEFAULT EQUALIZER TO STOCK
1. In some cases if you don't hear any change, toggle all options off and force close the music app (Walkman).
2. Open another music app(say Blackplayer). . and play any song. Pause it.
3. Now open Walkman again and play a song. Now go to audio settings and toggle on the options. You should hear the magic of this port now !

Resurrection Remix 5.8.5/Resurrection Remix 6.0

This Mod is pure Non-Sense. Dont want to get in technicalities, but this is nothing more than a port of Sony Walkman Music Player rather than every claim is fake. Doesn know how it featured on XDA front page.. but it doesnt works practically... Although its one of the best Sony Music player port till now but sony's dsee effects is fake claim. Only equalizer works just like any other equalizer app but dsee and clear+ audio have no effect... By toggling them the sound get paused for 500 milliseconds and the volume gets amplified by 0.5%..But no change in sound effect.. people may get placibo effect by that pause and believe that its working.. but it doesn.. its same.
Tested on more than 25+ devices, lollipop, MM, Nougat, Oreo...
PS: Already quoted OP and posted all the issues in detail in the Original Thread... But OP never replied back. Also the well known sound mod developer ultraM8 raised this issue and asked the OP to provide logs of working sound processing, but OP is so arrogant that he doesnt wants to proove anything to anyone.
Great! Thanks for sharing!

Yes mate, you need to delete them using file explorer too. I faced the same problem. I had uninstalled AudioFX using system app uninstaller but I still wasn't getting the audio settings and fc. Then I deleted the AudioFX and MusicFX using file explorer and it worked like a charm.
Did you flash the XZ2 Sound System zip using the RECOVERY ? If not then delete the module from Magisk Manager and flash it using RECOVERY. Also make sure to disable other audio mods. I hope this works for you. Cheers!

If you can delete those folders then great! If not then just delete everything inside them. Both folders should be empty before you flash the XZ2 Sound System Magisk module.

Hey! If its empty then it's a good thing. What about MusicFX folder ? You need to delete both of them. If those folders are not getting deleted make sure the folders are empty. And then delete XZ2 Magisk Module, restart. Flash it through RECOVERY and it should work!
Do i need to flash both files, I mean Sony- music 4magisk and xz2 sound system?

Yes! Sony-Music4Magisk is the Walkman app (Sony Music). And XZ2 Sound System is the audio mod.
You can search for Sony-Music4Magisk in Magisk Manager and simply install it from there. BUT you need to flash the XZ2 Sound System zip from RECOVERY.
Good luck mate!
Still no luck, Here's what I did. I open root explorer, inside audio fx folder there is a file ". replace", I deleted it, in the music fx folder there are two files " musicfx.apk" and ". replace" I deleted both. Went back to recovery and flash the two magisk modules, clear dalvik/cache and booted the system. Went to Walkman app, followed the 5 sec procedure but still I don't hear any difference in sound quality after toggling the settings..I went back to root explorer and found out that the folders audiofx and musicfx has again the same files I deleted before. I deleted it again, and when I open settings in the app , it force closes. Maybe it's not compatible with my device. Xperia z2 rr Oreo 8.1. I reverted back to viper4android fx.

That is strange. The apk files in shouldn't be there in AudioFx folder. It works perfectly on my device and I just checked my AudioFX folder - It is empty. But there's an apk in Music FX folder. That must be created by the Walkman app itself. Don't delete this next time. Are you sure you disabled the Viper4Android module or any other sound mod before flashing the XZ2 Sound mod ?
Also, after opening Walkman for the first time did the audio settings open normally ? If yes then you did everything right until that. You should have followed the instructions given above about "in case the 5 sec mehod does not work." You can try again. Cheers!

Yes, before flashing the mod, I already removed viper. And I also did follow the other procedure in case the 5 sec did not work. No apks under audiofx, only in musicfx. And there is this file ".replace" idk what it is. I deleted it before but after installing the mod there it is again in both folders of audiofx and musicfx..

Here's what my AudioFX and MusicFX folders look like AFTER flashing both Walkman and XZ2 Sound System :
AudioFX
MusicFX
And about the apk in MusicFX folder, it was created AFTER flashing XZ2 Sound System by Walkman. So I guess it is important and shouldn't be deleted
It seems like your device/ROM is incompatible with this mod. I suggest you post your issue in the original thread and maybe sirdoha could help you. Sorry it didn't work for you.

Redmi Note 4 (mido) 2019-20

Redmi note 4 (Snapdragon) aka Mido, is a beautiful smartphone with great features from a very good 4100mAh Li-Polymer battery to Hi-Res Audio support and much more. But to experience it's real and completely unbound performance,a custom software need to be flashed as OEM's software is coded with nothing but prohibitions that help boost the battery and don't know what at the cost of features we must have. In this thread, everything is explained to make most of this device except the procedures of unlocking bootloader/rooting/flashing custom recovery etc. Better get basics done first!
So let's Start.
Best Pie Rom Available: DotOs Roms
Why= Fully Stable with amazing battery life & native Gcam with no Root solution added. Purely Stock with a very-very nice UI. Can surely be used a daily driver Rom!
Link= https://sourceforge.net/projects/dotos-downloads/files/dotp/mido/
Decorating the System software with addons
:::::Addons::::
Audio Mods (For Enhanced Audio Output)
1. Dolby Atmos (No Ports available for Pie as on today/full compatibility with Nougat)
2. Dolby Digital Plus (Ports Available. Google it/lots of helpful videos available on YouTube)
3. Viper4android (Detailed below)
4. Ainur Sauron (don't think you need this on top of V4a)
5. Ainur James DSP (V4a has it all)
5. Maxx Audio (Never tried on Pie nor interested to)
6. DTS (causes system crash/random reboots/kernel specific/not something to cry for)
::::Flashing Viper for Android (v4a) in Pie::::
Previously, I had to go to the download section of Magisk to dowload and flash this audio MOD systemlessly(the beauty of Magisk). That is still convenient but since Team DeWitt's Viper App has come, the process of flashing v4a has become so easy as installing a regular apk. Really, its way better now. But as promised, both the ways are detailed below?
1. Flash using Magisk Dowload section.
For this, just touch into Magisk's Download section> search or scroll to Viper for Android>install> and then hit reboot>Done! V4a Installed!
2. Install as a normal apk>authenticate popup for installing driver>hit reboot> Done! V4a installed!
"Experiencing Dolby's Objective Audio Technology alongside Viper For Android"
Requirements:1. Any custom Nougat ROM
2. Latest Magisk Installed!
3. Dolby Atmos
4. Viper For Android (App)
4. Internet connection (for downloading Audio Modification Library from Magisk)
Installation/Procedures
Follow serially>>
1. Rename downloaded Dolby Atmos zip to "axon">Open Magisk Manager>modules>Touch add icon>navigate to Dolby Atmos(axon) zip downloaded earlier>Select and follow the instructions.
2. Install V4a as apk downloaded earlier> install driver>grant super user access prompt>exit on done.
3. Open Magisk Manager>Downloads>search Audio Compatibility Patch> install. (for audio apps like Spotify etc. to process Audio Mod effects)
4. Now again in Magisk Manager>downloads>serach AML>download>install>reboot!
(If device automatically reboots after installing V4a driver, repeat step 3 & 4 and reboot again.
Thats for Now! Like If you Like!
Will be back with more on this device.
Please do not request a feature. I'm not a developer but a superuser.
