Hi everybody. at-last i did what is the title of this thread and thought i will share it with u guys.be advised u may brick your phone and your warranty is void now.
1. below mentioned steps works on rooted s4 mini (Stock ROM or [ROM][i919x]S5 Mini Lollipop Port v2.5)
3. backup everything of your device like contacts, sms, apps, both internal and extrenal sd card etc etc (i used shareit app to backup my internal sd card to my pc)
2. i started by clean installation of [ROM][i919x]S5 Mini Lollipop Port v2.5 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-mini/development/s5-s4-mini-t2987500)
3. just after completing installation i made partition of my external sd card to use link2sd (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1432459) (i bought link2sd plus new from market to support developer)
4. after that i put all my backup back and started installing apps back (apps got installed on second partition of ext sd card>change settings in link2sd to AUTO LINK)
5. now head over to xposed installer and install it
6. now install module obb on sd
7. after that copy all apk obb in device storage/android/obb to their respective ext sd/android/obb
8. last problem was how to copy data of some apps like DioDict4 or Medscape to ext sd card and make apks work.i experimented a lot and asked for help which was in vain so lets proceed to final steps now (above mentioned apk or others like them does not download data to android/data or android/obb but like this device storage/diodict4 or device storage/medscape)
9. install this play store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devasque.fmount)
10. it is simple to use this app.i did like this for DioDict4.i created folder named DioDict4 in ext sd card and than opened folder mount than + sign than selected source (device storage/DioDict4) and app selected destination automatically than copy yes>wait it to finish than pinned it.
That is it guys.please hit thanks if u find this thread useful.i dedicate this thread to all people like me :highfive:
Hi guys.hope u all fine.well i have good news for u all which is that after step 4 u do not need to proceed to other remaining steps because LINK2SD support feature to link external data and obb folders of apps and games plus some other features.thank u for reading.do not forget to hit thanks https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.buak.Link2SD

Hi there
I have my brand new Nvidia Shield LTE tablet.
I loaded it with my remaining class2 16gb micro sdcard, because my fast one (class 10 or UMS or somthing) 32gb one was stolen.
I noticed 2 things:
1) there is an android folder in the sdcard, data and obb subfolders, and both have tons of stuff inside.
2) there are .asec files in the root of the sdcard (big ones)
Questions:
1) Is android installing stuff by default on the sdcard? (not everything tho)
2) Could this be the reason the tablet gets REALLY slow while installing stuff? My Nexus 7 was not slowed down that bad, specially after i went with F2FS-all.
3) If 1 and 2 are correct, can i prevent it?
EDIT: uppon further inspection, i noticed that there are only empty folders inside the subfolders of the Android folder in the sdcard.
Hello there.
So I am using Moto X Style with newest 6.0.1 (May patch). I found a nice price for a OTG usb memory, SanDisk Ultra Dual USB 3.0 with 16 GB of space. I ve got it formatted to FAT32 with default allocation unit using my Windows 10. When I connect this device to my phone - it is recognized correctly and I can acces it using built it file manager. As you know, this file manager really su*k in functionality, so for a daily use I am using ZArchiver or Solid Explorer without ANY problems. I am also using SD Card (SanDisk Ultra 32 GB UHS-1 with 48MB/s max speed of write) formated as external memory and yes, it works very well without any issues. I can copy any files from internal memory to it, and delete without problems.
Unfortunatelly, mentioned above Dual USB drive did not work properly with my phone. It is recognized by my phone well, I can acces memory using built-in file manager. But in any other application as ZArchiver or Solid Explorer (or many more) and problems are very random - I can write a data to it (creating a new catalogues, files, copying files from internal memory or from memory card), I can open files saved on it using Solid Explorer or built-in file manager, but I cannot delete files or archives or catalogues using ZArchiver and Solid Explorer. In ZArchiver notihing happens, in Solid Explorer I have an error mentioning, that file cannot be deleted (without any details).
Also there is no information about free space or all available space in ZArchiver and Solid Explorer - this data is available for my SD card...
On my Windows machine I can do whatever I want with this USB. Also on my Meizu M2 Note. So I just wondering if there is an issue with my phone olny, or with that Dual USB Drive...

It looks like something was changed now, but why? I am now able to delete files from my two USB stick (one is that mentioned earlier) using Solid Explorer 2.2.8. I am now on 7.0, and some time ago (still on 6.0.1) I perform a full system restore (from recovery). Maybe some system files were broken or changed, and now, after restoring (or after updating to Nougat) these files ale fixed now.
If you have a possibility, try to restore your phone. Otherwise wait for Nougat update, meanwhile use this application:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.droidkitchen.filemanager
I used it in needed of delete files from USB stick, while I cannot perform this action in other apps.
Okay my question is simple and straight forward I have a non rooted Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge, Model Number: SM-J327P and currently running Android Version 6.0.1 on Sprint the 16 GB version... well I just got this phone and it already has a full internal memory, I installed a 32gb micro sd card , while I'm able to move photos and music and etc.... but I am not able to move apps to my sd card, which I really want to do so badly. I don't have any photos or music or things of that nature to delete on this phone and make space because I have not put any on this phone yet, and it's a brand new phone, the only way to make space in my phone is to delete just a couple big apps I downloaded ,that's it, but I do not want to do that. My question is; is there a way to adopt external sd storage on my phone to make it think it's internal storage so I have more storage ?? I hate how 2016 model phones do not have the option to make sd storage internal storage . It should be a mandatory option for newer model phones we are in the future for crying out loud it's 2017 things like this should be handled on phones already . Why is this a problem in 2017??? Anyways can anyone help me? Is there a way to do this ? Please and thanks in advance....

The only way to move apps to the phone is by rooting it. I rooted mine and use Apps2SD. I even use Titanium Backup (greatest rooted app ever IMO) to move the stubborn apps that only install on the phone internal memory. I don't do the system apps like Messages but apps that I have installed from the Playstore.
you can use xinternal after flashing xposed i have around 350 apps and modules lol still 5 gb left internal and 11 gb/32gb external
You can try this
1. Enable developer options tap basemodel in about phone (Settings)
2.Enable USB debugging
3.Download and install minimal and and fastboot to your Windows computer.
4.Plug phone in.
5. Open up minimal ADB cms line
6. Type the following
7.Adb devices
ex. 26dh3 device (should show)
8.Adb shell ( j3popltespr# should show up)
9.sm list-disks
179,64 (64 should be whats shown i believe)
now partiton your device for adoptable storage (make a backup this will erase all of your sd card)
10.sm partition disk:# of first disk, # of second disk private
(sm partition disk:179,64 private
or for 50% adoptable 50% portable you would replace private with mixed and the number ex. sm partition disk:179,64 mixed 50)
(ie. 179,64 or 179,65 *be careful to only partition the two disks listed
(179 and w.e it showed for list disk output should be what the partition cmd embodies)
11. unplug and reboot *may take longer
12. Go to your options under storage and click the three dot menu and press migrate data *use your internal storages settings and migrate its data* if the option exists ....if not then just get a good file explorer and copy and paste the files from storage/0/emulated to ExtSd (it should just ask you for permission amd to choose your disk but if it doesnt show nd u see a blank screen then you need to sty on blank screen tap three dot menu and press show sd) now just hit the accept button in the root directory (home where it shows all folders) and now you have write permissions to your SD card.
I would tho in all seriousness root your phone by followimg the OFFICIAL TWRP thread posted by @ashyx and then use apps2sd , truly you will be pleasantly suprised with root and its capabilities, and you can always use Odin and the 4 firmware files BL,AP,CP,CSC to reflash back to stock in case you break something using a bad root app, but truly if you can follow my tutorial you can handle root and its process to obtaining root.
credit @Modaco for giving the tutorial cmds

Hi there,
After root stock fw 5.0 using CF I notice I can´t copy anything from PC windows 7 to SD (or erase anything in SD using PC) due write restrictions (it´s not possible to exclude FOLDERX. Storage is protected against writing. remove the protection against it and try again.). Is it possible to resolve this?
I can write in SD just fine within droid device and transfer files from internal to external memory using ES explorer - root explorer (/ is RW ; /extSdCard is RW). I´ve already edited the platform.xml to allow media_rw to remove any restrictions as I´ve found in several threads searching in the forum.
I don´t know where to go and appreciate advice from experts.

Thanks and Regards,
I have the same issue after installing Resurrection remix 5.8.5 , what works for me is copying in the [pictures, movies, music] folders of the phone...and after with file manager on phone to move elsewhere .
