Hello guyys !
Simple question, I have a Shield TV Pro 2019, and I just received the Philips Hue starting pack. I got to be able to follow the screen with Non-DRM content.
I just want to know if there's a Hack to be able to capture and sync the screen with DRM content (I've seen that maybe with a rooted shield and xposed frame work it would work ?)
Thanks a loooot guys ! =D

Hello, I'm new to this forum, the Nexus 7 and android. I haven't got a Nexus 7 yet, because obviously one cannot mirror its screen up to now. This would be an important feature for me. The HTC Media Link seems to be the only way to connect it to a monitor so far. On the other hand screen shots are possible as far as I know.
Here is my question:
Has anyone tried to write a program which does the following: Make screen shots at a rate typical for videos, permanently build a video out of these screen shots and send this video via HTC Media Link to a monitor or TV?
I haven't got the knowledge to create such a program myself, but may be some users of this forum have the knowledge and may not yet have thought of such a way to perform mirroring the Nexus 7 screen.
Any answers appreciated! Thanks!
" First the app doesn't mirror your screen -- you're limited to playing content stored on the tablet or on the network via DLNA, which means no YouTube, Netflix or games. Second, the app doesn't handle some common file types -- like AVI, for example." -- source.
As far as I know there is no solution for mirroring that doesn't suck until we have a working Miracast support + dongle, and we're limited to things like DLNA.
Hey,
I created this tutorial using a nexus 10 (easier to control recording), but the same steps apply to a FireTV. This allows you to bring retro gaming back to the big screen! Please let me know if you have any hangups and I'll try to help you through them.
The Xbox 360 wireless receiver works out of the box with the FireTV, so this is a great way to play N64 games. The controls actually transfer very well in my experience.
Sorry for the interference on the first part of the video- no money for fancy recording stuff (yet). Happy gaming!
Hello just recently I purchased a Nvida Shield TV cause its faster then amazon fire and it uses APKs . Anyway my father is old time guy and he watches Turner Classic movies on his tablet so I thought its an apk program it should work on the shield sadly everything i have tried has not work. So i am turning to the experts of this stuff....You guys can you please help me get this to work for my father he loves his black and white TV.
Thanks for you assistance
You can install ES File Explorer (On your, (His) Phone, and the Shield TV, then make a backup of said 'App' from the Phone, then transfer that App to the Shield TV. Using ES File Explorer to install it.
The problems start when you start assuming that Android TV = Android (For Phablets). If the app was only built for for Android Phablet. It most like will have rendering issues. Phone style Portrait vs Landscape. But, the real rub will likely be in the Interface as the Android TV does not support the Phablet Touch UI. So if in turn your App does not allow external Remote Control. Then you may find the App is pretty much useless.
The best advice, for you, and anyone else in your Shoes would be to contact the App Maker (e.g. TCM?), And in short demand an Android TV App.
The idea of having a portable Nvidia Shield TV with the Nintendo Switch is very exciting to me. I know that
1.
I guess the Switch Display itself only supports 60hz.
But is it possible wgen docked to switch the refrehrate of the TV for smooth video playback?
Can Kodi or other Multimedia Apps switch the Refreshrate on the fly to 23.97, 24, 50, 59,98 hz?
2.
Is it technically possible to spoof the Switch Android port to be a Nvidia Shield TV to get Widevine Level 1 support to watch DRM protected video content in HD instead of SD?
I understand that LineageOS is a thirdparty Android fork (f.k.a. cynagenmod?!) and the Nvidia Shield TV runs a google licensed Android TV firmware.
Would someone forward these suggestions to the development team? I think these would be some really awesome additions to make the Switch Android Port a great place for A/V Enthusiasts.
