So lately my phone start randomly restart itself, sometime suddenly sometime give signs will be restarted like the phone press the power button itself but i've already check the power button still normal (not pressed accidentaly)
After restarting itself, the phone starting bootloop in redmi logo over and over. To boot normally, need longpress power button like booting normal and yes it booting normal
But after some time it will back like before that random restart and bootloop
At first i thought it was a virus from app, but the last 4 apps i installed is from play store not from outsource. So i'm trying to backup internal to begin flashing, in hope remove the random restart.
Long story short, after i'm flashing the phone. The random restart still happening. So i'm trying to ask here for looking the solution, how to remove this random restart?
ROM before flashing : Resurrection Remix 8.6.5 (7 months use this still fine until this happen)
ROM after flashing (current ROM) : RevengeOS 4.0
Status : Rooted
note 1 : before flashing, i'm already clean wipe (data, internal storage, system, cache, vendor, dalvik-art cache)
note 2 : maybe overheating, but idk which app that make the phone overheat because i only use for hotspot / tethering

Hi XDA
yesterday onwards i'm facing this stranger problem.
Yesterday i updated defy with miuiandroid_Defy-2.4.6 but after that phone was restarting automatically. After times it stuck with the motorola logo.I was not even able to enter into CWM.After several attempts i enter to cwm and updated with the older version miuiandroid_Defy-2.3.9 after wiping the cache partions and dalvik cache.
But now it always freezes on boot up.If i kept it idle for some time after removing the battery it may open the CMW but it will freeze while doing the operations or some time it may reach upto boot animation of MIUI but it will again freeze. Two times it become normal but when i try to unlcok the phone by sliding it got restarted.
What should i do now.It almost like i'm not able to access CWM even after trying all the button combinations. With the M logo the computer is not detecting the mobile too.
Please help dear XDA...
Now i removed the battery and try to charge, i am able to boot menu at some times. But after formatting the cache its getting off.So not getting enough time to flash before that it either turns off or restarts

I'm afraid that you have to flash a (fixed) sbf using RSD lite. For instructions see 'how to flash' in this guide.
I haveS4 (i9505) that had the rom foxhound 2.0 on it.
I later decided to install the Google Edition (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2348272) on it.
When installing it I should have wiped data and cache but I accidentally used TWRP's "Format Data" function which deleted everything.
I had to use Odin to put back the original samsung software.
After this I installed the Google Edition the correct way.
When it booted up it said: "encryption unsuccessful" with a button "factory reset" which I pressed.
This took me to the recovery mode which also gave me an error (don't remember what it said).
So i used Odin yet again to put TWRP on it so I could factory reset the phone.
I used the phone for like 1 day but then strange things started to happen.
The phone just froze. Not like a normal freeze where everything stops, but where loading-animations still works and everything else stops working.
So I restarted the phone and it happened again and again and again. From like a few seconds to a few minutes the phone froze or rebooted.
The strange thing is that the same thing happens in recovery (TWRP), the same kind of freeze as described above.
And sometimes the phone refuses to turn on at all. Doesn't help to press all buttons, even holing the powerbutton for 1 minute doesn't help.
I have found out that when this happens I can disconnect the battery and reconnect it after some time to get it to start up again for a short time.
I've tried three different versions of TWRP, and also the original samsung firmware with the same result using Odin.
During all this I also had some problem with my SD-card. Files on it got corrupted and sometimes when i copied files over to it i didn't allow it to happen.
Anyone got any tips on what is going on/what i should do?
Hi,
I'm using SM-G900f with Fusion ROM.
I decided to reboot my device which normally worked without any problems. But this time it got stuck on black screen and I couldn't turn it on/off. I tried like 3 time and the same thing kept happening. Even when I just turn off the device it's still stuck on a black screen and doesn't turn off unless I remove the battery. I would really appreciate if anyone knows a solution for this or has information on what I'm dealing with. I tried wiping cache and dalvik cache but didn't help.
Thanks.
Got no answers here so I tested wiping cache/dalvik cache, system and install the same ROM on top with fusions TRWP.
I can now reboot to recovery atleast which lets me reboot/shutdown but I still can't reboot or shut it down normally.
hi...
I'm really desperate, my phone is suddenly dying and I have no idea why, I'll tell you from yesterday what has happened:
- I'm playing a stupid game and suddenly the screen goes black. No led, phone doesn't answer any button, nothing. I hold power button, nothing. Remove battery and put again, nothing. After some attempts phone turns on, but just after starting it reboots or stays frozen.
- I decide to change the rom (I had simpl rom), so I do a full wipe and put CM 12. It seems it works, but when I'm in the settings, at the beggining, I don't even have time to put the wifi, it starts rebooting again and/or not responding.
- Desperated, I install via odin the stock firmware from Sam Mobile. It seems it's gonna work, but when the dialog of "Android is upgrading -- Optimazitating app x of XX" it always gets stucked in a number, randomly. I never get to the 230 apps.
- As a last chance, I try Kies to install factory firmware. The same as before happens, but now it's only 17 the number of apps it tries to optimize.
These last 2 times, of course, I enter recovery from time to time (now the default one) and wipe cache partition.
My phone is agonizing, what the f is happening? Does anybody know what could happen?
Please help...
Hello,
I noticed within the last month that my S4 seems to lag when I go to unlock the phone.
I hit the power/home button and the screen doesn't turn on. If flashes on 10 seconds later then goes black again.
After a minute, the phone finally releases itself and then I can use it again, before...
It freezes when texting, instagraming, etc...
I have:
-Taken out the SD card
-Wiped Cache Partition
-Factory reset
The only time it doesn't freeze up is when it's in safe mode.
So I have 2 possible answers: Corrupted system file or corrupted app.
Anyone know how to go about isolating the problem? Or solutions similar to this in the past?
I would completely wipe the phone and reflash the software.
