Best ROM - Redmi K20 / Xiaomi Mi 9T Questions & Answers

Hi guys actually im on Xiaomi.eu ROM, but its little buggy and i wanna try some good custom rom, so guys i wanna ask you to recommend me any good ROM, that is stable and you are happy with it. And one more question, what is necessary to backup and where to backup.
BTW. Sorry for my english.

Hey
I guess the questions has been asked multiples time and the answer(s) will always be very subjective.... but.... I have the same question actually
I just got a "brand new second hand" mi 9T i have to prepare before the end of the w.e. and i tried crDroid and MSM already but some bugs make them unusable for me. I'm sorry I can't try them all on time... so...
Any opinion from you guys using custom roms would be much much appreciated !!!
CHEERS !!

I tried pixel experience and msm but I returned to MIUI 125 eu as fast as possible.. yes MIUI is not the fastest Rom but for me is the most beautiful and full of features Rom!

[i9505] best and most stable rom

Hey guys!
As the s4 is not my device and I've don´t any clou about it's roms, i have to ask you.
The s4 of my gf is getting slower and slower, so I decided to put a new rom on it. I thought, that it would be cm 12.1, but I read about problems in every rom I saw.
So what is the most stable and fluid running rom out there in your opinion? It doesn't matter how many features there are included in the rom or how many updates will be coming in future. But i think 5.1.1 is a must-have.
Is it a clean stock install? Please help me

Which is the best ROM you guys have discovered for REDMI 2 PRIME

Hello guys !
I have been a new member of XDA . (**noobie** tho ) . I own a REDMI 2 PRIME . I have flashed many roms and kernels on my device suggested by xda but until now i have not found anything i.e. any ROM that i might stick onto. I always flash a new rom and within 3-4 days seeing the battery consumption i revert back to MIUI ROM . Please suggest me with links to the ROM and kernels that i should try on and can hold on to a particular rom.
Thanks Guys !
Look....devs are tried or trying to make ROM that is suitable for us .So be greatful to them.
I am using cm 13(official) and du by dual boot and I am happy.
BTW ...u can't get everything work perfectly in anything in this world.....
In my experience if you are going for bugless you should go for stock which is pretty good and especially on prime much smoother compared to 1gb variant.
On other hand any custom ROM come with trade off, most stable ROM on r2 is DU but it won't support Jio,then there is Orion by same dev which is minimal and excellent ROM in itself ,if you are new to custom Roms then you should stick to CyanogenMod which offers AOSP looks with its own set of features and is reliable,

Reply 1 :Your review was awesome ! Will surely try this beta rom !
Reply 2 :The phone is awesome and i dont see a chance that i might be changing this phone because of its compact size and its battery life on stock rom . The wierd thing that happens is that i have seen many people say that a particular rom say CM13 official nightly build is the best stable rom for redmi 2 prime but i used it and saw a pretty lag even when the phone booted up for the first time that is no new apps installed for a day and then i would have to revert back to my stock rom !
Hehe that is what going on from all the roms i have tried . I havent tried tesla rom latest build for miui redmi 2 prime which users say is the best rom until now ! So lets see what happens next

Any non costumized ROM
Hello, is there any ROM only without bloatware, prerooted and stable? The thing is, most of custom ROMs always has some wi-fi bug, bluetooth, whatever... besides some are meant to look like S8 or other changes in the theme... that's my personal/business day to day phone, I'm a little bit old now to make experiences with different ROM, in the past it sounds good to have a phone all costumized, I had time to reinstall original ROM when it bricks, I still remember my first phone Motorola C650, oh that was a fight to get space to store one complete MP3 song, now I just want/need performance and stability, I know this forum is supposed to people help each other with bugs, improvements, sorry if I'm being selfish. Thanks in advance.

you should go for light stock rom V1.1, maybe change the kernel in it to Hades kernel or something to make it little more smooth

Stable Oreo? Please read completely

I am wanting to unlock my new moto g5 plus. I have to have it for work so the rom has to be the five 9s. I am not trying to start a word war just a simple question. Yes I have done some searching and so far I have gotten many conflicted statements. I have RETUS on 93-8 build. Any help would be great
What is the most stable and close to AOSP Oreo rom we have?
Also I have a Full Backup of 93-8. If you have TWRP and want to go back to stock just restore. Let it boot. most things didnt work. Reboot into recovery and factory reset I did it X3 just old habit and reboot everything is working fine. will update post with link if anyone is interested
Thank you
P.S. MODS I am not trying to have a best rom thread here. Each rom has features each person wants etc etc. If it starts to get crazy please remove thread.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Now, I'm currently in AOSP Extended and works like a charm, even on camera and the OBB bug that some Oreo ROMs have it's fixed. There's Pixel Experience, but the ROM it hasn't been updated since February; it's really stable but it has problems with the camera in some apps and other small bugs. If you want personalization and stability, go for AOSPExtended. If you want only stability and lightweight Pixel/AOSP alike experience, go for PE or LineageOS (I haven't tried this ROM yet, but it is there). Good luck!

I think AOSP Extended is a good choice.
It's in active development, has the major Oreo bugs fixed, nice features and a good performance.
But it shouldn't be unsaid that I haven't found a custom rom that could hold a candle to stock in terms of battery and stability.
And don't forget that there could be major issues when you want to go back to stock like losing IMEI, 4g or voLTE. Be sure to have a backup especially of EFS.
All custom roms are build without a "real android 8" for Moto G5+ so maybe it could be worth waiting for stock Oreo.

I am trying it now, the only problem I have is since I was on 93-8 there is no full firmware yet. I cant go to 93-4 get invalid everything. So until that firmware is released guess its custom for me hopefully Oreo comes soon so we can get any small issues in Oreo roms ironed out. Deff been a fun day playing with roms
Im using OmniROM for a month or so.
Good battery (from 5am to aprox. 11pm with 2h+ of music listening, and general usage)
Câmera I personally dont use much but works fine.
Is fast and stable nothing to complain about.
Im not using FOR work anymore since I got another job, but I certainly sure if I have to, the phone will work fine.
I've been using nitrogen os for a few months now and never had one reboot and battery is better than stock with my usage.
I thankfully did a full backup before I did anything so I can go back to stock rom with stock recovery

1st there's no BEST custom rom. There's only a rom that suits your purposes.
Bugs can be here and there in custom roms since they are made within free time for free, just to remember.
You'll not receive answers just only with one specific rom, cause of individual preferences
I liked msm extended and LineageOS, but just try some of them out, as you did sjrefy already https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/development

Agreed with that thanks for replying
If you search a ROM that has updates, a good battery life, a good stability and that's ready for daily use the answer is LineageOS
