Have you been able to fix this? My brother's phone is experiencing the same issue as well. Some other folks say waiting for 24hrs and plugging it into a charge kinda fixes it, I'm gonna try that and see how it goes.

Mine is dead too. 1 day passed.
Mod edit - machine translated:
Hi again over here. after waiting 5 days, the battery will be discharged. test all day from one to five times a day. Today I turned it on and after 3 seconds it vibrated and the discharged battery logo appeared. connect the phone the battery logo still appeared but it would not charge ... I pressed the button for 15 seconds and restarted and the logo appeared shortly ...
booted the phone disabled automatic updates. and tried not to turn it off anymore.

I just removed battery terminal and reconnected it, pushed power button and phone restarted normally, after being dead for 2days.
look at this thread:

Wait for the battery to drain completely. How many days to wait depends upon the battery charge at the time it went off. It took 2 days for me at 45% battery last seen. To check battery status connect to computer and see any signal computer gives, if no response connect to the charger (preferably powerbank, as it charges slow, not fast charging). If battery symbol appears relax and just wait, it will automatically starts after few seconds, no need to press any buttons. If no battery charging signal wait for more time still battery drains completely, and repeat the process.
I attached my POCO M3 to the laptop after 4-5 months of it being dead, and it showed sign of being charged. After about 20 minutes of charging by the laptop I tried to turn it On and it turned On. Now running fine. Now I'll try not to turn it Off at any cost.
It's not about the firmware but it's about the hardware. For my POCO M3 as well, others are getting dead while mine is still Okay. Now for 2 years since before the Pandemic then now, twice dead and currently dead for 3rd times.
This sounds like the cursed edl bug, if you plug it in a pc does the pc detect it as a qualcom device if so you're in a big club of m3 owners ones who have expirienced edl (emergency download mode).
just leave your phone off (don't connect it to anything for 2-3 days) it should exit edl mode and then you'll be able to boot it up, that last time my device entered edl it was out for a month.
I felt the same way till August, and now on last Sunday screen froze and phone is down for a battery drain cycle.
It showed signs of life today, I plugged in the charger and waited till 40%. it didnt boot, tried to boot and now i think i have to wait for drain again. If this set boots i am going to flash it to something custom. I wonder if banking apps work on custom roms or after flashing stock ROM.

Hello,
I have swaped motherbard and screen on axon 7 mini. In fact, first I replaced screen on my son axon 7 mini. But boit was weird and no correct charging si I thought Iit was my fault at working with naked hands (no gloves cause static electrical shock ?)
So I décidéd to buy à broken device wich have broken screen but good mobo on Ebay.
I kept all from. first phone and only swapped motherbord.
I plugged it for charging but it dont charge. Instead the screen show first thé battery with %0 à lighting and then showed a battery with big réd "X".
I swapped the battery but se problem
Tried to perform à Factory reset but no way. Axon 7 when plugged but immediately turn off
After boot and show à blinking red led.
I notices that battery connexion is very tiny. The connexion is weak but I think I really do the best to insure best connexion.
All of that sounds that battery is not recognized isn't it ?
What should I try ti fix that ?
Thanks in advance for your help
So, my phone is le eco le pro 3, I found this forum through google, my phone ran out of battery and died, then I plugged usb cable to computer to charge it, but the usb port is a bit hit or miss so the connection kept connecting and disconnecting and making that "tut" sound on the pc. After like 20 mins of charging I tried to turn it on but apparently the charge wasn't enough or idk, so I plugged it into the outlet to charge it normally. An hour later, it should be charged enough now to at least turn it on. I hold the power button to try to turn it on, but the "eui" big letters show, flashing with rainbow colors and all that, then sometimes there are small letters that say "Optimizing app 4 of 9", 5 of 9 etc. all the way to 9, then says "Starting apps", "Breaking boundaries for freedom" and the logo starts spinning and it looks like it will turn on any second, but then the cycle repeats all over again, with the eui logo flashing, a few mins later the "optimizing apps" and then the same stuff. I've been using this phone for almost 2 years now, never had any problems with it, it's now out of warranty so that sucks. Is the phone broken now? It won't turn on... I tried holding the power button to turn off and on again but same thing...

As distributor suggested fastboot would be a good place to start. But my guess is that you don't know what fastboot is and you are probably using stock.
If that is indeed the case, the first thing you should check is your cable, it has probably gone bad. FYI: Those cables are notoriously bad. The next issue could be that the battery is going bad, which is also very likely since you have had the phone for two years. Don't worry you can find a new battery for about $15.
I would borrow someones cable or buy a new one and let it charge with the phone off. Next, you probably have corruption which is why EUI is re-optimising apps. If you have further issues after getting the phone charged, backup your data, to your desktop ( if that option is possible...must be enabled) then perform a factory reset in EUI Recovery.
Although these instructions are for a different model , the steps described in the link below are the same for your phone.
You can follow the instructions here to complete the factory reset.
I switch off my poco m3 at 66% and it would turn on already try to force restart it still doesn't work, I saw some solutions about letting the battery drain but how do I do that

Here's what worked for me.
First open the back of your phone.
Second disconnect the battery cable.
Third start holding the power button.
Fourth connect the battery cable while holding the power button.
If you don't get it on your first try you'll have to try these steps again.

Yeah, I also saw a video to a more permanent solution but I haven't tried it so I don't really know
Hi Everyone, Just wanted to share the solution that we found out. My Friend had his Poco M3 Bricked, dead boot. No recovery, No display(totally black screen) and when I plug it in via USB it shows "
Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 "Been here about a month ago hoping that there is a solution. We tried the rubber band Method(See the attached image how to do it) you just need a cotton buds and a rubber band. Just place the tip of the cotton bud into the power button and secure it with rubber band 2 knots. So it's pressing the power button that way it's draining the battery it took him 2 days to drain it, But once the battery is drained the Charging Icon will display in the screen. And you can charge it and wait for it to boot up. This worked for my Xiaomi Redmi 9T and my Friend Poco M3 bot uses MIUI 12. After it boot again try to Avoid restarting it and Shutting it down so this may never happen Again.

Noice!
Would try that later if my m3 goes rogue again and Im too lazy to open the backcase. Its been almost half a month that I kept my phone running and I just found out that my flashlight suddenly wont work and my themes keep reverting to the standard out of the box theme.Maybe it I should restart it to fix this as I have been through it on my old Xiaomi MiA1,same flashlight gone error after a long time usage without once restarting it.
Thanks for sharing this method!

Maybe the phone was updating and you brute force rebooted it.
If you are not DIY, you need to take the phone to a service center but that would cost money.
The Phone wasn't updating, many people are having this problem, me being one of them, here to the phone started lagging, so decided to reboot, and then It won't turn on. Tried all the tricks, ended up waiting 3 days and put it in de charger, after 5 minutes I I kept the power button pressed and it gave a sign of life, but showed the battery empty, waited 5 more minuted and tried again. This time it turned on, after a week exactly the same problem, after 3 days I could start it with the same procedure, at this time there was an update, installed the update, and tried to restart, it now turns off, does start, but I don~t have to wait dthe three days., after some time I can start it manually again, but it is a clear problem with the phone. ANd I expect it to be software related.

Phones have become complicated like computers, the phone was lagging because it was doing something for sure then you shut it down.
If you're able to turn the phone ON, I suggest you STOP trying wrong moves and do a hard reset.
Ok, last time I succeeded in turning on my phone, I went I to updates and feedback and send message with the logs of my phone. Today I got a reply, they have determined that it is the motherboard and they adviced me to take it to the nearest deviceocation and have it checked out

Your option was to "hard reset" the phone and that is what any repair shop will try as a first step.
Don't waste your time with incompetent and misleading scammers' replays because no shop will waste time checking a motherboard unless it's a $1,000+ phone BUT they will replace it anyways, they don't waste time checking it.
And do you have a Xiaomi or Poco service center near you?? LOL
I also sent a message and the logs to updates and feedback but they never replayed back, they also both Xiaomi and Poco NEVER replayed back to my e-mails and requests made on their Facebook pages, that means these companies are crooks and scammers.

What worked for me was waiting a few days to drain batter, then when I plug in and there is a charge icon I just wait and after a while(5 minutes or something) poco logo appears and after that when it goes back to battery icon I click volume buttons like crazy so it won't die, then when it shows one percent I hold power button while still clicking volume and it shows poco again(stop clicking now). It then shows miui and works fine
Hello guys. So I was using my POCO M3 when the battery ran out and it went off. I thought everything was normal until I went home and tried to charge it. Its been hours of trying different chargers but to no avail. The device won't power on, it won't charge... It's just dead. Please help me fix this.... I really need my device back
POCO M3 Was Not Powering On....
But it HAS powered on finally, and here's how I resolved it:
1. I triggered a FastBoot by pressing down the lower volume rocker and the power button for some seconds. The "FastBoot" screen stayed on for sometime ( I dunno how long) and then went off again. Then I waited for some minutes before turning the POCO M3 on, and it works.
