I'm on Android 12, and have a few apps running in the background with notifications. However this makes the Always On Display the smaller version, instead of the fullscreen clock. Is there any way to force the big clock, or am I stuck?

My app is a kiosk mode app that already has the home button and the recent apps disabled. The notification shade is also disabled... to a point. So I want to know how I can make it like how Chrome disables the notification shade when a full screen video is playing, or if that's not accessible to developers. Basically is there code that will disable the notification shade completely?
For years I have hidden the notification drawer on the top of the screen, most of the info there is duplicated in my widgets, and I just don't like the clutter. However with the V20, hiding the notification drawer also turns off my second screen...which then gets rid of one of the marquee features of this phone.
I've tried on multiple launchers (Nova and Next), and the same result. I've tried permanently hiding it, and using gestures to toggle on and off.
Does anybody have any suggestions? Any rooted users know if this is a problem after root? This one little problem annoys me to no end.
Thanks a lot.
I'm on a non-rooted Verizon V20.
There is a setting that might help that allows it to be active when the display is in fullscreen mode. It's meant for videos so it might not have full functionality.
I'm rooted and I get the same thing. I use Nova and the "toggle notification bar" shuts the second screen off along with the notification bar. I don't know why they're tied together like that, it's annoying...
The second screen's "show time while content is shown" option will leave it on with the notification bar toggled off, but it doesn't do anything, it just shows time and notifications up there. You can't scroll it to get to anything.
I've upgraded to Nougat, but since than I can't disable the lockscreen notification and peeking for certain apps. I don't want my mails and WhatsApp been shown on the lockscreen etc. Who can help?
Enable Power Notification Controls, set those apps to Level 1 and they won't show up anymore
Guys I really wanted to choose which apps show the content on the lock screen. Like for example the music all app controllers. But that is just achieved by enabling all notifications in lock screen. Well then I thought maybe I can go to wassap notifications menu to do not show on the lock screen, but there is no option in the app, as shown in some other oreo apps where there they have in notifications part to not show in lock screen, nor in any other pref. I'm not sure if it's because this is the oreo version of the s5 or why. Also I chickened to install the android pie.
Any app, tweak? Or something? Thanks in advance.
Hello,
I have headunit ac8227l with crippled Android 8.1 with just really few options, and I would like to make notification bar always visible, because I have on it buttons + it shows outside temp and time.
But when I use some app, for example Waze, or Nova launcher (I have enabled notification bar in Nova, but its still hiding), it always hide and I must swipe down from top, and after few seconds it hides again..
Is there some special app for it?
Thank you
Anyone please? Its really annoying
there is really nothing what can be done about it?
