Just follow this guide to unlock the bootloader, and then you can install TWRP recovery.

I have Froyo on a non rooted nexus is here a way to unlock and root it it I have been trying but it will not recognize the bootloader. please help .
Thank You
You can unlock it using fastboot, just like you could in 2.1, as far as I know.
From there, flash a different recovery, then use something like this quick rooter:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=686627
First of all, wrong forum.
Second of all, you're smart enough to figure out how to put an official firmware that's not released yet on your phone. So please use the search or read the forum stickies.

First of all I did not asked to be flamed just needing help If I made a mistake I am sorry but I thought this was a friendly helpful community or are you the bad apple ?
If you read the forum more, you'll find threads similar to this one, if you don't search no one will help you, especially for this very easy question you're asking.
1. Click on the Nexus One Q&A sub forum, that forum is for asking questions and getting answers.
2. There's a sticky, 3rd one down, it's titled "***Informative Links*** - Read before clicking "New Thread"". Click that, you should get to here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=618768
3. Right there on top, 2nd link is "Root the Nexus one Tutorial" with the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=612858 Click it.
4. Follow to the directions. If you have issues, ask in that thread.
Helpful enough? LOL

I rooted the phone and now can't update to the latest version Oxygen 2.2.1 automatically
Is there any way around the problem?
If you have rooted your phone, you probably also have replaced the original recovery with twrp. In that case, just download the 2.2.1 ota zip from the ota thread in this forum and flash it manually in twrp.

Yes there is a way around: search. Because this question has been answered BILLION AND BILLION times. Even if you are a new to XDA, you should know there is rules. You should know there is a search bar located in top right of your screen. There is a index on this forum which gives you link to @Spannaa's thread where he groups all OTA and Stock ROMs + a tutorial to update when you're root. I gave you all information needed.

There is no need to be rude, I actually searched several pages before posting my question, as I was pretty sure the question had most likely been asked before. Certainly don't think it's been asked BILLIONS AND BILLIONS of times.
But thanks for your help, I will be sure to do a more THOROUGH search next time I think about posting

Buddy download the Signed flashable zip - Oxygen OS 2.2.1: OnePlus2Oxygen_14_OTA_012_all_1602261837.zip from the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/general/rom-mirrors-official-oxygen-os-roms-ota-t3209863
Flash it via twrp or any other customer recovery that you may have. Post that you would have to flash supersu again.

I agree to him, you do not need to be rude, this community is about helping others so it is not a big deal if you typed the solution. If you look at it , it would have taken less less words than the long comments which you posted.
HOW THE HECK COULD YOU NOT FIND IT. You obviously didn't didn't search very hard my son
I concur,no way he searched.. it's always 1 of the 5 under OnePlus 2 general.
The fact that OP had his phone rooted indicates he probably has some basic knowledge of unlocking bootloader, flashing recoveries/ROMs..etc and therefore should be resourceful look up the solution himself be it on XDA or not. The point is with an easy, and somewhat obvious solution to such a common problem (tbh I too had this exact same issue when I first got the phone, but I knew then I had to do a manual flash) surely people will get frustrated when asked.

I agree we are here to help, but come on, a question that has been answered so many times, in many threads, doesn't deserves one more topic. It reminds me the fingerprints problem on CM13 when it didn't work yet: it was about 2 or 3 question about it per page: "is fingerprint working???", "does fingerprint working". Come on, there is search function, so why don't use it ? Imagine if we create a thread every time we have a problem with our device but this problem has already been solved. Imagine state of the forum after all those threads. And yeah, as said above, if this man as his phone rooted, well, I think he has some basics knowledge about OnePlus Two.
I am on an unlocked bootloader and I'm also on pb1 and running cm13. Is there a way for me to upgrade my modern to pf4 with a flashable zip?
It seems like there is a way to upgrade my bootloader now as well from what I've pieced together information wise through reading the forums is that true, am I reading into this correctly?
Bump for help.

If you have these same questions for the awesome developers in this sub forum please speak up because it would seem that some still hold childish vendettas against me despite me being thanked plenty of times for helping people around here and being a long time member of this community.
Thanks to anyone who speaks up and answers these few questions. I just see a lot of people bricking their phones right now and not enough information out there so I'd like to perhaps help other people while helping myself as well by getting this information before moving forward with trying my hands at this.

I agree. Lately there is a lot of very confusing conflicting information and guides that are not clear like they used to be. Instead of helping some just get mad and fill threads with complaints instead of answers

Why don't you just pull the modem from the PF4 firmware and create a flashable zip....basically that's what you're asking for...just a thought/idea

I'm trying to figure out why jrkruse hasn't done that yet and why he's remaining silent while people are bricking their phones. It just seems fishy to me that's all. Plus I don't know how. I can do a lot but not that.

Hello , I am trying to install your Jasmine 5.0 Rom on my Rooted Verizon Note 3. I downloaded and installed the safestrap 3.75-B04 apk on the device. I granted it (SU) and it says its installed , but it will not reboot into TWRP recovery. How do I fix this issue ? I tried several ways to make safestrap work and none have helped. Can anyone help me fix this issue ? I appreciate any help thank you.

I debated not answering this post for two reasons:
(1) I count at least 3 separate identical posts from you in multiple forums and threads. Stop it. That's called spamming or cross-posting. It's unacceptable behavior.
(2) Just about 8 or 10 posts down from this one there is a thread that covers this exact issue, check out what it's title is:
Needing help with Safestrap Recovery, Will not boot to recovery
What you need help with apparently, is searching
Safestrap 3.75 was built for KK (KitKat) ROMs - Android 4.4.x
By your own words, you have Jasmine 5.0 installed, which is based off of OB6 - Lollipop 5.0
SImply put, Safestrap has never worked on Lollipop ROMs and never will. The developer moved on.
.
First off, I was not trying to spam or cross-post or conduct myself with unacceptable behavior. Secondly, I appreciate all the help and advice that I receive . What I don't appreciate is unwarranted criticism. I was only trying to find an answer to my problem, and if I can help someone else , I will do so. Again I appreciate all the help and advice that I receive. I hope that I was NOT spamming or cross-posting or conducting unacceptable behavior. I apologize to all if I was offensive.

Asking you to follow the rules requested by the moderators and followed largely by everyone is not unwarranted criticism. It's asking you to follow the rules.

Posting the identical message multiple times doesn't help anyone. It merely makes the life of other people worse when they actually follow the rules and try searching for something.

Spamming or Cross-posting have an extremely simple definition: posting exact duplicates of the same message in multiple forums and multiple threads. Hope has nothing to do with it.

The forum rules are right up there at the top of the list of threads. Here's some excerpts from those rules, which are pretty much the same in almost every forum:
1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting or creating a new thread. Whether you have a question or just something new to share, it's very likely that someone has already asked that question or shared that news.
5. Create a thread or post a message only once.
As a large forum, we don't need unnecessary clutter. You're free to edit your message as you like, so if you do not receive an answer, revisit your message and see if you can describe your problem better. Not everyone is online at the same time so it might take a while before you receive an answer.

Imagine what a horrible mess this place would be if everyone posted identical copies of their messages 3 or 4 times in separate places. Most messages would be orphans with no responses, and interesting topics with many responders would be split into 4 unrelated conversations with many people repeating the same information with different chronologies, and largely being unaware of contributions of others. That is why it is frowned upon.

Being whiny won't make others jump to pitch in and help you any further with your problem. Nobody is asking you to be perfect, but to read and do a little research and not cross post. The answers to your questions are covered here very thoroughly.
