Cannot Unlock Bootloader on My LG G6 H870i - LG G6 Questions and Answers

Hi guys, I have a LG G6 H870i (Brazilian version, but no carrier), and I've done everything to officially unlock the bootloader, but when I try to do that method on the LG website, it always says that the my device version is not available to receive bootloader unlock key.
My goal in unlocking the bootloader is to install root (I couldn't without unlocking despite having tried in several ways, including kingoroot) and also custom recovery TWRP (or any other), so that with them I can reach my purpose of installing a Custom Rom such as Lineage OS.
So, is there any way to unlock bootloader other than through LG's website?
If not, is there any way to install root even with the bootloader locked?
And finally, if none of these procedures are possible, is there any way to install twrp or any other custom recovery without needing either an unlocked bootloader or root?
Thank you for your attention.

The answer to all your questions is NO.
No, you cannot bypass the bootloader lock.
No, you'll need to exploit the android which isn't safe and may cause issues other than security. And since you probably have Android 9 it will take while to find a working exploit for it.
Obviously not, you can only "flash" if you have unlocked bootloader.

SuperSU doesn't recognize root?

Hey, so I am pretty new to rooting just wanting to optimize my phone a little, I rooted my LG G6 H870 through LG's official website, but SuperSU doesn't seem to recognize my root I have checked with fastboot getvar unlocked and I am supposed to have root, what's the problem?
Through LG's official website you can only unlock the bootloader, which give you the option to install a custom ROM or install a custom recovery and root your phone. Check the official thread in the guide news and discussion of Lg G6 and check the unlock bootloader thread.

[A452] Need help with root

Hi,
I'm trying to root my daughter's Blade A452 with the latest dis_eu_a452v1.0.5 firmware, if at all possible without data loss. I tried KingRoot, KingoRoot, TowelRoot, all without success. Bootloader is locked, so flashing TWRP and SuperSU is not an option I'd like to pursue, if there are other ways.
Strangely, my other daughter's A452 rooted without any problems, but I didn't check the firmware version at the time -- might have been another one.
I'd appreciate any help!
Greetings,
Christoph
Are you trying unlock bootloader?
Not necessarily, except if there's no other way to get root. I know how to unlock the bootloader, but this would erase all user data (which I'm trying to avoid). I really don't need an open bootloader (no plans to flash a custom rom), just root access.

Can G5+ be upgraded to Oreo via OTA and then rooted

If I end up with the 4/64 variant (then my 2/32 lives on as some backup device/wifi)...pretty sure it still will have stock Nougat. If I upgrade immediately to Oreo via OTA, can I still unlock the bootloader and root, or unlock it on Nougat and then upgrade via OTA and then root it?
Also, true I couldnt reflash a TWRP backup of a Pie ROM on my 2/32 and into a 4/64?
g 5 +moto
re lock ur bootloader back to stock then up grade to 8.1 if ur a senior member you should know that.2/32 4/64 are hardware in your phone .
Not exactly the answer I was looking for. The exact question is, unlock bootloader on Nougat or unlock after upgrading to Oreo? Or get the unlock code while on Nougat, upgrade to Oreo and then unlock and root?
If you're not currently bootloader unlocked, then you'd be best to take the OTA. After that, you can unlock the bootloader and root. If you're already unlocked, then you'd probably be better off just getting a TWRP flashable oreo build and just flash that. I wouldn't take a TWRP backup from one phone and restore it to another, since it might cause issues with things like serial numbers and IMEI. You'd be better making a backup with Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant or something similar. Just remember that unlocking the bootloader will wipe the phone. So if you re-lock it, or it's not currently locked, make the backup before doing that.
Update to Oreo with LMSA, unlock bootloader then root. Make backup before all. LMSA will prompt you to make back up, I think.

Flash Official Stock ROM with Root?

I have a Magisk-rooted LG V35 running some uncertified custom ROM installed by former owner. I'm wondering if it is possible to flash an official stock ROM on the phone without losing root? My goal is maximum compatibility with standard functions (e.g. VoLTE, Google/Firebase Cloud Messaging, etc.) with root.
as long as you dont lock the bootloader, you can flash the stock firmware and then root the phone
even if you lock the bootloader, you can unlock it, but it's a bit harder
