Please help....unknown baseband and IMEI - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

I want to list all things I have done so you know what I messed up...
The first ROM I flashed is https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-11-offical-hero2lte-pixelexperience-aosp.4276771/
I installed TWRP and Magisk.
Then I found the camera is not good. So I found another one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...935f-fd-k-l-s-w8-superman-rom-v3-0-1.3356699/
I tried to flash BT and CP, but there were errors, something like SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE: x. Binary: x, I didn't care much. then I didn't continue because I found a better ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-10-0-oneui-2-5-g930x-g935x-n930x-n935x-floydq-v6-0.4085667/
And I flashed it. After that, I cannot get any signal from my carrier (Australia Optus). I only see cross icon at the top right corner, and when I click Mobile Data, it pops up a message "Please insert SIM card to access network services"

I was trying to fix it and I found this thread.
[GUIDE] How to fix IMEI / DRK issues
This Guide works on both the S7 and S7 Edge. This also works on other Samsung device including Snapdragon variants as long as you have the correct files for your device. FIll out my form if you require assistance S8 users go HERE This guide...
forum.xda-developers.com
But I am not confident doing it. It was a bit old. I need someone to help to clarify things first.
The first step in that thread said:
copy of your phones stock firmware saved to your computer. If you do not already have these available on your computer, you can go HERE or you can use this tool to download the latest firmware for your device. Alternatively, you can find your firmware on SamMobile but this can take forever to download with a free account.

As I don't have copy of the stock firmware. So I went to SamMobile to download the latest s7 edge firmware: https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/g.../SM-G935F/OPS/download/G935FXXU8ETI2/1038455/
I am not sure which one to download, my phone was originally purchased from the internet. Not purchased from local (I am in Australia). Is there anyway to find out the original stock firmware version? I just downloaded the Australia (OPS) one (G935FXXU8ETI2)..
The next step:
[IMPORTANT!] Switch off Factory Reset Protection (FRP) by going into Developer options and turning on 'OEM Unlock'. If you do not see 'Developer Options' under settings, then go to Settings > About Device > Software Info and keep tapping 'Build Number' until it confirms "You are now a developer" then go back to the main Settings screen and you will see Developer options.
if you skip this step, you only have yourself to blame if something goes wrong
Click to collapse
My problem is that I don't see OEM Unlock in the Developer Options...
And for this one
The Combination Firmware (Factory Binary). Download the combination firmware relevant to your phone (links below) and extract the .rar archive somewhere you will remember.
S7 International [G930F/FD] - (Mirror) [UPDATED 03/11/2017]
S7 Edge International [G935F/FD] - (Mirror) [UPDATED 03/11/2017]
S7 Canada [G930W8] - (Mirror)
S7 Edge Canada [G935W8] - (Mirror)
S7 Edge AT&T [G935A] - (Mirror)
Files for other models available on request via my form
Click to collapse
As you can see, those are not up to date.
Can I just use the one (COMBINATION_FA60_G935FXXU1AQI2_CL7964511_QB14932435_REV00_user_mid_noship.tar.md5.zip) from the link "S7 Edge International [G935F/FD]", or do I have to find the latest one to be used along with the firmware (G935FXXU8ETI2) that I downloaded? Someone shared on Google Drive but I think I need U8??? (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-how-to-fix-imei-drk-issues.3379516/page-33#post-79630560)
The latest combination firmware that I can find is COMBINATION_FA60_G935FXXU6ASH2. Dose that mean I cannot use G935FXXU8ETI2?
I am just very confused...

I fixed it by flashing the stock firmware.

Just check whether this app works or not! I have not tested it on Kitkat.. But I was using this on JellyBean to force LTE on my S4...

1. Make a backup of ur Internal Memory
2. Make a factory reset (Settings > Accounts > Back Up and Reset > Factory Data Reset > Reset Device > Delete All/Erase Everything.)
3. Conect it to Kies 3
4. Kies 3 will give u the info you need for know ur correct CSC. This 3 letters CODE will be btw parenthesis close CSC.
5. Knowing ur CSC, take a look for this firmware in Sammobile.com
6. Download and flash it with ODIN (Dont flash a "Black EDITION" if ur phone isnt it)
7. Enjoy
First of all you need to make sure that you have a LTE-enabled SIM. Ask your provider.
Then, you should test it first with the official ROM (for your phone&operator&country).
If it does not work with the official ROM, ask again your provider.
If it works, go ahead and install a custom ROM. check if you have the option from above post. If not, you have to try to install the right modem (that fits your country/operator/phone - sammobile is your friend).

[Q] S3 Neo laggin after flash stock rom

Hi, I have the following problem with the phone Galaxy S3 Neo. Just flashed my phone to CM 12.1 but decided to come back to the stock rom. The only one who became ROM for my phone XCUAN with XXUAN not start my camera. So far so good just flashed my phone with the latest available firmware (with Odin) for my region (Bulgaria) but the phone is not the same, there laging in Connection Menu in any games. What to do?
Bulgaria got a very recent update.
Try to download an older one rom. Search for the stock rom that came originally with your device. It might work.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/general/tool-samfirm-samsung-firmware-t2988647 Use this tool to get the latest firmware. Enter your model and region (BGL or VVT for Bulgaria, VVT is probably bloated with carrier apps.) then it will give you the latest firmware to download. You can also enter the firmware manually, if you want to get an older one. When you have downloaded it, press decrypt and it will give you a zip file, extract it and you will get a tar.md5 file. Then flash it normally via Odin. Credits to @zxz0O0 for the app.

My phone only works with XCUAN firmware with XXUAN camera not start. For my region Bulgaria has only one XCUAN firmware, With him my camera works but there is a slight lag in settings/connections menu and Swamp Attack Game.
XXUANH1 is an older firmware. Maybe your phone shipped with XCUANJ4 and it doesn't support XXUANH1? Try to download the latest XCUAOF1 firmware with SamFirm, I'm running it in SEB region. SamMobile doesn't have the firmware yet. I will attach a photo what you should enter.

Hello and thanks for the reply. I'm with XCUAOF1 region Hungary. I have some occasional lag while scrolling quickly the Settings> Connections, has notice stutter in that particular page. I did not notice the same stutter something else. Same lag is available in the game Swamp Attack. I tried about 10 different firmware and all observed this lag. It all started when I decided to come back from CM 12.1 to stock rom before I had this problem with CM 12.1 also do not have this problem. Already desperate not know what to do will be very grateful for advice

Unfortunately it will not work that way when they write the programs for these devices they write them as stated sm-T377t is for t-mobile, and sm-T377A is specifically for at&t
SM-T377A Samsung AT&T Marshmallow or Nouget Stock ROM
Hey everyone,
I successfully rooted my LG V-20 and I really enjoy how nicely my phone works now. Smoort, responsive and everything is editable (within reason of course).. So, I have set my sights on my tablet.
Samsung E Tab
(Model: SM-T377A)
AT&T varient
Android 6.01 (Marshmallow)
- I have tried every possible combination of flashing the tablet with Odin. (all 3.x versions)
- This includes trying the COMBO package, the 4 part flash with or without using the PIT file and I also tried just the 'boot.img' falsh (with PIT and without PIT)
- If I include the PIT file then it very dependably fails via the PIT error.
- I have also done the Factory Reset and made sure I used the proper drivers, matched the Build number with the flash file that I am trying to use. (ATT_T337AU.....)
- I have also Unlocked the Bootloader via the Developer settings within Android andUSB debugging (per usual)
- Below is what I have been getting plus/minus a a couple of variable details

The only thing I haven't tried is using either Marshmallow or Nougat. I thought that Lollipop or Kit-kat would work (or it was worth trying)
With all of that said, does someone have either the silver bullet suggestion on what I need to do to or have a good copy of the AT&T E-Tab series ROM???
Specifically: 6.01 or 7.01 ROM for SM-T377A ROM
It would make me so happy, THANK YOU,
Davis

Unable to revert to stock rom

I have an unlocked Galaxy S8. I flashed it with the stock Sprint rom to get Sprint visual voicemail and wifi calling features. Doing so changed the model of my phone from SM-G950U1 to SM-G950U. Now, I am unable to flash back to the stock rom because Odin says the model number doesn't match. What can I do to revert back to the stock rom for the unlocked S8 with region code XAA? All help is appreciated.

I recently reverted back from T-Mobile firmware to unlocked S8 as it used to be. You need to use custom Odin, not the regular one.
Do the section where is says "Flashing Unlocked Firmware"

Don't know which files to flash

Can somebody help me please?
I still haven't got the Pie OTA and I don't know what UK ROM I would need to flash. I haven't flashed a phone for years and haven't used odin since the galaxy s3
Screenshots from the phone INFO app are below. I'm hoping somebody can point me in the right direct of the correct firmware and an odin guide.
TIA

I usually use updato.com for firmware downloads. There are a few others like sammobile.
You can use search filters to find your device model, android version, region, carrier etc
According to your first screen shot your csc is XEU
Second screen shot - latest firmware - G950FXXS4DCS2 is latest firmware for your device so when searching look for these 2 things and also the date as there may be a more recent version.
Use latest Odin version 3.13.1 + latest Samsung drivers.
https://samsungodin.com/
Then have a look at this thread for a quick guide to flashing firmware.

Thank you so much for your help, one last question will G950FXXS4DCS2 not conflict with my baseband or pda as they seem to end with CRIA OR CSC Version CRI5? Am I just complety misunderstanding those.

You should be right as the updates do change there name to reflect date of issue, version no etc. So CRIA is an older version of firmware than DCS2. So the next update will be called something else.
Thanks
