Hi! I am on 11.0.7.7. i rooted my phone by modding the boot img via magisk. I flashed the boot .img on both partitions i.e. a and b. Now i want to revert to stock and unroot. I have the stock boot img with me. Please guide me how to do it? Should i flash stock boot img on both partitions again? Or should i simply flash the boot img without mentioning a or b partition? Please help me out. Thanks
Uninstall Magisk then reboot your phone, you will get back to unroot stock OOS11.

Hey guys, I'm a longtime XDA browser but hardly ever post. I have the MXPE rooted with the newest TWRP build and has been running great since I got it. last night flashed the Deodexed 6.0 build from AICPs 5.1.1. I had some issues with the SD card being mounted as internal storage and erasing something so I tried to flash back to stock as my nandroids weren't seen as usable.
Long story short when I flashed back to stock, the recovery would never take. I've flashed the stock recovery and twrp to no avail. For some reason it wont actually stick. Everything else is back to stock but that. When I used the win toolkit and tried to flash twrp again it said something about the folder locations so I'm wondering if I messed something in the partitions.
Question is, have you guys ran into this issue or have any insight on where to go from here? I've looked around but I couldn't find a post that the same as this issue. As a side note, I can get into the bootloader just fine.
I appreciate any info that someone can provide.
Flash twrp. Reboot back to recovery from recovery. Reboot system.
Hopefully it's that easy. Stock os flashes stock recovery on boot. Rebooting recovery from recovery prevents that from happening.
From TWRP:
"Note many devices will replace your custom recovery automatically during first boot.... Once TWRP is booted, TWRP will patch the stock ROM to prevent the stock ROM from replacing TWRP. If you don't follow this step, you will have to repeat the install."
mxpe 6.0
Thanks for the info ffejy462. What happens when I try to flash TWRP and it doesnt stick? I know for a fact that I can boot into it temporarily with fastboot boot and the recovery file. Should I just flash it from there?

I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner. Flash recovery with fastboot. Boot into recovery. From reboot menu in recovery, select reboot recovery. Twrp will patch so recovery isn't lost again.

That did it. thanks alot ffejy462!
Dear all.
I meet serious problem, it's very urgent.
I have a LG US996 Unlock version.
I worked unlock bootloader, and flash deodex firmware and TWRP.
Before less time, I tried RTN reset because my phone couldn't connect mobile network, not show any data icon.
After work RTN reset, my phone(US996) is booting to recovery every time. Phone can't boot system OS.
So, I want all re-flash to factory . How to get LG US996 firmware?
Or, Anyone know how to solve my problem?
I tried wipe data and cache, and re-flash ZIP firmware. But I can't solve.
Please help me.
Thanks.

You can try this, it's the stock us996 images. Flash the boot and system IMG through TWRP. You should be back to stock https://build.nethunter.com/misc/us996/v10d/?C=N&O=D
I will try it.

I will try it. I am trying download, the download session is disconnected every time. but I am trying again.
Do you know how to return recovery to stock?
I think that TWRP is not stable.
I am looking for recovery.img, the image is not uploaded extra folder on that site.

I tried download system.img, and flash system.img to system partition.
But, I can't flash it. I try TWRP - install - install image - select system.img, the phone is not show system partition, system image partition is not same size system.img.
Do you have another method?
Solved . Thanks to all member
Dear all.
I solved the problem.
I tried flash system.img and boot.img use fastboot flash command.
and re-flash de-odex system use TWRP again, wipe data and cache.
It's rebooted to system OS.

Sure no problem. What version of TWRP did you have when you were trying to flash the imgs through TWRP.
I didn't try through TWRP.

I didn't try through TWRP. I flashed by fastboot command. TWRP 3.0.2.0 is not show system partition when install IMG. So I used fastboot command (ex, fastboot flash system system.img).
After complete flash by fastboot and reboot, the phone can't boot system. but the phone was not boot into recovery.
So, I re-flash deodex system(zip) by TWRP and reboot, completed boot to system.
Do you understand? (I'm not good at English very well)
Thanks for your help. Merry christmas.
Hi guys.
I installed TWRP and rootet my phone with magisk and everything worked fine. I then tried a couple of custom kernels before I restored my TWRP backup. Now I can not turn WiFi on. Can someone please help me.
Is there any way to restore it safely and correctly, maby some file I can download that fixes the problem? I really don't want to flash original firmware allover again..

May it is enough if you flash the boot.img of the rom from which you made the twrp backup. I guess you have the rom file on your sdcard, unzip and flash the boot.img with twrp. Or dirty flash the rom if you're to lazy for a clean install.
I was on stock android 8.0.. So I guess that won't work.

Why this shouldn't work ?? You can flash boot, system, recovery and vendor.img of the unzip factory image with twrp, except bootloader and radio of course, but that's not necessary anyway.

LOL, fastboot flash stock boot, system, vendor.
Btw, if you're flashing to test some custom kernels you should have always the original boot.img from the
rom you're using on your sdcard. First flash the boot.img before you flash the next custom kernel, and don't flash a custom kernel over the next custom kernel.
Do you guys mean my backed up boot? Or should I download this files from somewhere?
If you backuped the original with TWRP, you can use it.
Otherwise download your rom, unzip and look for the file.
To solve your WiFi issue u have to dirty or clean flash anyway with TWRP,fastboot or flashfire. Whatever you prefer.
Okay. Yes i backed up the original. I will try it now
It worked when I only recovered system, boot and data
so i just got this phone, trying to flash magisk but i need the stock boot image, how do i find that?
Hi guys,
At the moment we don't have many custom ROMs for 6T but we have quite a few custom kernels to play with.
Let's say we are on latest OSS, regards with Magisk and having TWRP. And with custom Kernel.
Correct way to go back to stock kernel and flash different custom kernel would be:
Boot to TWRP.
Flash Stock boot.img
Reboot to TWRP again
Flash TWRP zip
Reflash Magisk
Reboot to System.
Done.
Am I correct? Or do we have to reflash full OTA?

Is it okay to flash img files in TWRP? I was told that it is meant just for zip files. Fastboot for img files.

As long as you flash correct image to correct slot, it should not be an issue..

Since years
my preference is to use EXKM and flash through there. my process
need:
stock boot for whatever your running, in my case .11 boot.img
whatever kernel you want to flash
1. in exkm, flash the stock boot.img, don't reboot
2. then flash your kernel of choice, don't reboot
3. in magisk manager, flash magisk, and use direct patch, then reboot
once it reboots, your g2g
