I have the T-mobile OnePlus 7t Pro 5G Mclaren edition. I was trying to root it and ended up bricking it. I'm trying to restore it using MSM download tools but I can't seem to get the device detected. I've watched countless YouTube videos, XDA forms, and google and still can't seem to get it to work. I downloaded the drivers, switched it to 9008, tried different OOS downloads, been careful to get the button timing right. None of these things seem to work! Please help!
so your phone was never detected as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008?

Did you get the bootloader unlocked? Check in the guide section and it has everything there. I'm not doubting your efforts but there's a detailed thread there. If you were able to unlock the bootloader you might be able to flash a rom.
Does adb recognize your device in fastboot?
It's usually driver issue, try downloading your driver from here then reinstall it.
Try changing the cables, a faulty cable can cause this too.

First you have to make sure you have the original boot image.
Second when you go to upload it to the phone you have to unplug your PC from the internet and put the calendar date back to December 2018 and then try to upload.
Hope this helps

Hi is anyone have the same problem with there S4 connecting to PC with USB cable. I have all the drivers installed and I also tried connecting to another pc and same problem.. I also tried 2 cables and no good. I can connect with cable with odin but I can't move files with windows explorer.
So you have tried this on 2 pc's correct, you have keis loaded on both? Are you sure usb debugging is enabled in the dev section?
Are we guessing what phone you have here? Is it a iPuke S4?

i used to have a driver problem for my galaxy s4 at&t. i resolved it by restoring back to factory stock using odin. you can follow instructions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261573
I had the same issue as you op, and unfortunately I don't have a good solution. The only thing that fixed it for me was flashing a different rom. I was on Jedi and it wouldn't let me connect to PC (at first, it worked fine but a day later it stopped).
Flashing another rom (mint) fixed it for me.

I am impressed here, you had and issue with a rom, before you went on a post rampage you tried another rom, and it worked, so you know now it was not a hardware issue but a rom issue, this is how you find solutions on your own. GOOD JOB. this deserves a thanks from me at least.

Not sure if serious. Jk, thanks. But I still think I could have figured out a better solution than completely ditching a rom.
I tried everything listed, from updating drivers to trying to mount the phone through twrp. Nothing worked, even re-flashing the rom, so that gave me the idea to try another.

Did not mean it that way, first troubleshooting step should be, are you having the same issue on another rom, if 2 roms have the issue, it is a more serious problem, but as you tried, it is a issue with that rom, so that person can find answers in that rom thread.
calmness sir, it was all in good meaning.

OK, I337 rooted, unlocked, Goldeneye 7/10 ROM, 3.4.0-917495 kernel, USB debug enabled, running Net10/TMo, via *#0808# set to RNDIS+DM+MODEM, and AWS enabled via *#0011# OP process (I'm now getting 14.3M downloads off H+). wifi-Kies is Titanium frozen, as is restored crapware std email client. I had this problem once before when I left USB setting at RNDIC+DM+MODEM without completing the QPST process, but all was well after I did it right. Only other change I'm aware of is that I installed the Samsung USB drivers for the S3 so I could do the same AWS fix for the wife's i747. Anyway, the Samsung don't show in device manager now, even after reinstall the S4 drivers. Get a phone beep on plugging in, that's it. I plug her S3 in, get beep, screen says connecting as media device, windows 7 says installing drivers, via windows update, and eventually gets it done, saying "USB composite, sgh-i747, CDC/ACM, and ADB interface" (as shown), much as with S4 when it's usb driver install is successful. A puzzlement for a noob, for sure; clearly it's inside the S4, as when I try usb connect into an XP 'puter, while I get the phone beep, there's no usb recognition by the XP either.
Hey all I'm looking for a little help on an issue that I can't seem to find any exact info on (I have searched quite a bit)
The problem is that I have seemingly soft bricked my G2 whilst trying to restore a 4.4.2 backup coming from a stock custom 5.0.1 Rom.
The phone is stuck in a bootloop and I cannot access recovery mode through any of the button combinations or any other way.
I have installed the latest LG drivers but when I connect the phone (while in boot loop) the pc tries to install "LGE Android MTP Device" but fails to complete.
When in download mode though, the phone is recognised as "LGE AndroidNet USB Modem"
When I try to flash a stock KDZ via Flashtool, every time it gets to 2% and then throws an error message telling me to retry.
If this is an issue with the drivers not installing correctly, is there another way of getting them to install without the phone being switched on and USB Debugging on?
If so I would greatly appreciate a little light shed on the matter.
As I said, I have searched a lot about this and did not find any other cases similar to mine where the USB drivers could not be installed.
Thanks
Darren

Have you tried flashing a .TOT file using the .TOT method instead of .KDZ? What is your phones model?

If your having trouble with the drivers then delete them, reboot and install pdanet. If it still fails at 2% then go the tot method.

you didn't wipe aboot, abootbak, hypbak? right? Our phone has a backup partition for each partition (abootbak, hypback, sbl1bak, modembak, etc), asus included these, so there must be some way to use them to unbrick. Are you able to reboot to fastboot mode? ( i guess not, but still to confirm)
You can unbrick with QFIL ONLY if you manage to find your device's RAM IMAGE (usually MPRxxxx.mbn) and BOOT IMAGE (usually xxxx_msimage.mbn). Other flash files are included in asus fota, only these two are not. @shakalaca might help to find these files or the entire service ROM. I have been searching for asus service but to no avail . I have flashed many lenevo and xiomi phones with QFIL. Here's is a very nice guide http://www.androidbrick.com/unbrick...-you-have-the-right-kind-of-rom-qhsusb_dload/
You can request for ZF2 laser's service ROM on that website/blog. GSM FORUM is also a good forum to request service ROMs

I never cross flashed ram image. Be patient. Don't flash other device's ram image, it may worsen conditions. Keep this as the final solution, but NOT NOW. Also, you need boot image (.mbn) too.

Sounds like you got 2 warranty issues now. If the bootloader is locked, LG should honour the repair.
There's a program called QFIL (qualcomm flash) and you can use it to flash a kdz. I believe all it does is flashes download mode as once it succeeds and your phone is in download mode you would then reinstall stock kdz. I noticed there's a mention of 'firehose' though and I'm unsure yet of what that is.
Just curious: how did you manage to remove write protected partition while your bootloader is locked?
