YT9216BJ OTA Update - Android Head-Units

Hey guys, I have bought my 2din 9216BJ device recently which runs on fake 9.1 ROM (cpu-z says it’s API 27, 8.1.0 Oreo). I found an OTA package on XYAUTO website for the device but I am confused which version should I flash? There are two versions - 8.1 and 9.1.
If my device run on 8.1 but it’s faked as 9.1 shall I install 8.1 or 9.1? Does manufacturer use faked version numbers or true ones in the name of the OTA package?
I don’t want to mess with SP Flash Tool so I am happy with OTA packages only.

Ah, nvm.
Found out that:
8.1 = Android 6
9.1 = Android 8.1

Highly suggest you install a custom ROM onto your unit instead. That way you can get much better user experience and sound. Feel free to check out this guide that contains the latests mod.firmware and other helpful insights. Below is an example what you can do to the interface, among other things.

Android Headunit update problem

Hello,
I am trying to update my Chinese Android headunit 10.1”. The specs were fake saying its android 10 but i have checked with some apps on playstore and its android 8.0. I have uploaded pictures. I have tried putting android 9 and 10 firmwares on usb but But my android headunit never detects update file i never get update option. In the settings update software and MCU options are grey out can’t be clicked. I will upload all details about headunit.
Can anyone help with updating to newer version.
Thanks.

XY AUTO 9216BJ Update?

Hello all!
First of all, I am an android noob, so please don't mind me if I ask an obvious question.
I recently got a head unit with the specs as in the image bellow.

I got this HU from a local reseller (who BTW wasn't very knowledgeable about the topic) and he told me that in order to use CarPlay or Android Auto, I'll need to install an app. Since then, I've been browsing the forums and trying to install multiple versions of Zlink I found on the forums, but all I get is the "App not installed" message. I believe this is due to the unrooted firmware of the head unit.
Today as I was browsing the forums I found a link to the xyAuto file server and there I found an "update" for the head unit which has wireless carplay in the name (image 2).
My question is: Is it safe to update my head unit with this update and will it automatically install a carplay app like Zlink? The last thing I want to do is to brick my device...
Thanks and stay safe!

[HELP] [AOSP 10 BUILD] Update requires 'goldfish_arm64'.

Hello everyone,
since this awesome Tablet isn't getting Updates anymore I tried to build my own Android Version (10) with help of the AOSP Documentary.
Everything works smooth and fine, but when I try to flash this freshly created build, I get an error:
"Device product is 'baytrail'.
Update requires 'goldfish_arm64'."

I tried resolving the problem by getting to know what exactly is goldfish in the first place. So I found, that the 'goldfish' is in the Android Kernel for 4.x versions. I simply just don't understand why the bootloader is attatched to a specific android version. Strange.
Additionally, Lenovo Support gives the whole Open Source .zip for both Lollipop and Kitkat versions, so I have full build .zips of the "old" versions.
Is maybe the boot.img file the problem? I extracted it from Lollipop.
Any help will be appreciated.
Same issue.
I think you need to edit the upadte-script.
Hello. Could you please share your previous build that worked? Will it work on the Tab 2 - 8 inches?

Upgrade my android TV

I have an android TV from Chinese company called Skyworth. It's presently running on android version 4.2.2. I want to upgrade it to latest android 12 (or whichever is the latest and easiest upgrade to do). The setting through 'About TV' and 'System upgrade' does not work and shows a message that 'system is already on latest version'. Screenshot from TV regarding technical specifications is attached. Please help.

My guess would be that you would have to get a custom firmware to install another version of android on it. Currently I have a Hisense android tv and it's on android 9 and I just successfully debloated it yesterday.

Unknown Head Unit

Good evening everyone I have recently buyed a used car (Alfa Romeo MiTo) and I found a PX6 car radio already mounted on it.
I would have some questions to ask you (I am attaching the specifications in the photo):
- On the car stereo is installed the hal9k 5.0.0 version based on android 10, I was reading on the internet that the stock 11 version was released, now my problem is that i don't know exactly who the manufacturer of the stereo is, even if only to be able to reinstall the stock and get an idea.
- I delighted in updating the MCU bringing it to the latest version available on the net looking for MCTE_LY ..... But I saw that there are also other types of "MCTD" for example or "MCTE_XX" with two other final letters; I wanted to try to understand how the nomenclature works? Are they incremental letters? Is one worth the other? Is there a better ones or a worse?
Thanks to those who answer, I think that in the meantime, understanding that '' beast '' is could help me ....
