On my s10 unlocking Bootloader was the following. 1. Enable OEM Unlock as usual
2. Go to Download mode. By holding power and vol down
Volume Up To finalize unlock and wipe phone data
3. Go to developer settings again and tap OEM Unlock again for it to grey out and unlock the bootloader indefinetly

[Q] Unlock bootloader without Power button

Does anyone know a way I can unlock the bootloader or unroot the phone without using the power button?
I can get into android recovery but cant select any of the options because I have no power button.
I managed to get into fastboot with the Toolkit and I was trying to get my phone back to stock to warranty it. I wasn't thinking and re-locked the bootloader before unrooting the phone. Now I can't "undo" that because of the phone prompts to choose yes or no when unlocking the bootloader.
I am looking for a way to unroot a phone with a locked bootloader or a way to unlock the bootloader while bypassing the yes/no screen.
I found a solution but it was for the galaxy nexus using a hex editor and I wasn't going to mess with that unless it was specifically for the nexus 4.
Any help is appreciated.

Use hi care app to check the warranty status.
You can boot into fastboot & rescue mode (turn it off, press power + vol - button (i think)) and at the bottom of the screen it should say either:
Unlocked
or
Locked

Mi A1 getting flashed everytime lock and unlocking bootloader

it is getting flashed every time I unlock or lock the bootloader. Below are the steps I took to lock and unlock.
1) Enabling the developer options.
2) Enabling OEM unlocking and USB debugging.
3) Entered the fast boot mode and used "fastboot oem unlock" command to unlock the device after this command the phone gets unlocked but it erases(factory reset) all the data of the phone.
I was trying to install the magisk manager.

Looks like you haven't been on xda for the last month or two, or didn't do a little research before unlocking bootloader.
After May Security update, unlocking process factory resets the phone. You need to hold down volume down buton before executing oem lock command. Search on xda for proper instructions.

You can't choose the OEM lock until you re-lock the bootloader. You do that the same way you unlocked it. But be warned, it does a factory reset also, which means you have to go through the whole setup proceedure again. BTW, it is unlocking the bootloader that causes the message, not the OEM lock. Also, do you know that you don't have to wait for that message to disappear on it own. If you tap the power button when it appears, it goes away without the delay.

The OEM lock is grayed out. I have factory reset everything. Through Odin and device. I just want the bootloader locked again and reversing this procedure does not work. Not worried about erasing the device I've already downloaded the 2 to 3 hour 2.3GB file I pushed through Odin

Did you actually read my post. OEM and bootloader locks are two entirely different things. When you first unlocked your tablet, there were two steps involved. FIRST, you had to enable developer mode and turn on OEM enable. THEN, you had to unlock the bootloader by holding the proper buttons when powering up. To relock, you have to do that in reverse. First relock the bootloader, using the same buttons you did to unlock, and then, and only then, you can disable OEM. And the second step is optional. You don't have to disable OEM to get rid of the message.
Edit: And "reversing the procedure" does work if you do it right. It is the ONLY way to relock the bootloader and I have done it. So I know it works.
reedit: OK, I just did it again on my T510. Turn the tablet off. Plug the cable into the PC but NOT the tablet. Hold both the vol up and down buttons and then plugin the cable from the PC. When the green screen appears, release the buttons and then press and hold the vol up till the next screen appears. IT WORKS!

No I do NOT mean download/fastboot mode. Go back and research how to UNLOCK the bootloader. IT DOES NOT USE FASTBOOT. You DO NOT use fastboot to unlock Samsung devices. And "factory reset" via Odin is meaningless. You don't use Odin to unlock the bootloader either. BTW, Samsung and most other reputable tablet makers, intentionally make it hard to unlock their devices because it is a serious security risk if you don't know what you are doing. Do you know what you are doing?

I actually do know what I am doing as a matter of fact. I rooted all of our devices in this household including friends and family. Some of them are in my signature. You don't have to be a dbag about someone asking for help. Yes, I read your posts too, even after all your edits. I got it finally so I guess thanks for all of your generous replies to point me in the right direction. Have a nice day!

I apologise for getting snappy but I was starting to get frustrated trying to point out that the OEM lock wasn't the problem and that the "buttons" did work.
Thanks Lewmur
Just wanted to pop on and say thanks lewmur, I was getting sick of not being able to update and singe I bought a Galaxy S9+ I cant root that, might as well keep them both stock and use "altered" apk install files. I was not sure if it was possible to relock the bootloader, now I know lol, so thanks.
I have a TAB S6 running Android 10. Bootloader is unlocked and OEM switch IS NOT grayed out. I went into DL mode and all I saw was the same thing as when I unlocked the TAB in the first place. Anything special I need to do to re-lock this baby.

...Like you said, your instructions do work! But i think folk are getting confused in your last sentence...
..."When the green screen appears, release the buttons and then press and hold the vol up till the next screen appears. IT WORKS!"
with the term " 'hold' the vol up" you use - instead of 'Long Press' the middle Volume button option on the screen!
This method by Long Pressing Volume Up button will get you to the three options screen which asks if you want to lock your Tab...

Brah its so easy to unlock oem!
I'm so shocked and surprised that you guys haven't figured out how to unlock bootloader. Aren't you guys like the smartest computer wizards alive? Anywho... Ok kid this is how you unlock oem and will allow you to install any os you want.
Step one: power off your phone.
Step two: when you power off your phone and at the moment that your screen turns black press down and hold:
Step 3: Press both volume buttons at the same time, then after you feel the phone vibrate one time immediately...
"without lifting your fingers off of the two volume buttons" press and hold the power button.
Step 4: As you continue to hold down all three buttons at the same time.
The phone will vibrate, then it will take you to a green screen that states that installing a new operating system will erase your data, or void your warranty, or something like that.
Step 5: press the Volume Up Key to accept the consequences.
When you restart the phone will download an update which will allow oem unlock option to appear in Developer Mode Options.
Step 6
Go to about phone, then scroll down to Software Information, then click on Build Number 7 times. Go back to Settings and scroll all the way to the bottom and access developer options. Then scroll down until you see oem unlock. Check for notification of the update finishing.
Do all of this by the way with the phone connected to your computer. There's like a couple of tutorials online that you can find on youtube and on Library.
TADA! It worked for me just fine; ya sheee?!

What you have done does NOT root the phone
You obviously have not read this section.
The 205U cannot be rooted
You can only install official updates
look here
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-a20/how-to/android-10-q-guide-a20-t4095589
Disregarding official methods of rooting your phone, is there any way of manually or forcibly patching or modifying the bootloader without permissions given by the manufacturer? Such as doing so by an outside terminal on a computer.
I understand the risks of bricking a phone device.

It's a 50/50 chance for rooting. Samsung may remove the rmm lock on the a20 series once our 2 year update period is over.
Or it may be like the Verizon samsung galaxy S4 which has still never been fully rooted.

Yeah. If not, we may get lucky with 11 anyway, google was talking about user signed gsi images being flashed through standard recovery, but I haven't heard much about it in a while.
