I am about to upgrade my 6T and I definitely want to maintain call recording which I currently have activated on the 6T using joneplus tools.
I definitely do NOT want to root the new phone
I have read that that all models since the 8T (including the 9 series) have shipped with the Google dialler and this introduces a call recording warning to the other party and removes automatic call recording of every call without having to remember to manually record the call.
For that reason I believe I will just upgrade to the 8 Pro which seems to be the last model that shipped with the oneplus dialler.
So, my question is : Does the Oneplus 8 Pro still have the native oneplus dialler and all associated call recording options even with the latest Android 11 updates???

So I have the BA model which is UK/EU
But I think it's more than that potentially, your provider may block it? Not completely sure.
But my variant definitely has it on stock and it definitely works.
I got my phone from Three UK on contract.

Thanks dladz,
Could I please just confirm with you that you have updated your phone to Android 11 and that the stock dialler still has the recording options in the attached screenshot?
With the update there is no call recording you would need to set that up with a third party out there is one out there that you can do this with without need of root I would suggest Google 6t call recording

[Q] SGH-i337M - Using mspy app - call recordings dont work (have kitkat 4.4.2 & Root)
Hi All,
Im using the app in the Galaxy S4 SGH-i337m to record calls, but I can hear only the person who receives the call (I mean the person with the mspy app installed in the device).
Is there any way to change the configuration (Probably installing a ROM or patch) to make the recording calls through mspy.com available?
This device is same as Canadian and Mexico Models. I have used this app in other phones and works perfectly all call recordings are working 100% fine.
This might be a dumb question but I dont know how to figure this out, been reading a lot and trying to find out, like I mention in subject, this phone has kitkat 4.4.2 and is rooted, all other features of Mspy works fine but the call recording is not, and is pretty much the most important feature of the application.
Please help me to resolve this issue!!

Currently there are 2 ways of the conversation to be recorded: directly from the phone line and through the microphone of the device. In first case – all parties of the conversation will be recorded in a high-quality.
In second case – the recording is executed through the microphone which is usually situated in the bottom part of the phone and it can clearly record only the voice of the target device’s owner, but the other party may not be such clear. It means that the microphone “hears” only the echoes of sounds from the phone’s speaker, which is situated in the top part of the phone. It leads to the low-quality or one-sided recordings.
The possibility to record through the phone line is determined by the manufacturer and their policy. It means that in many countries (especially in EU) it is forbidden by the law to secretly perform a recording of the phone conversation. Therefore, many manufacturers are restricting this option from the firmware of the phone. It means that some of manufacturers still keep this option for phones, which will be used in countries without such law restrictions, and the others block this feature in firmware “just in case”.
In some cases there is a possibility to replace the official firmware of the phone on other official one and activate the option to record phone conversations (the localization of the phone may be kept). Moreover, it’s possible to find the alternative (unofficial) firmware with activated option of recording designed by freelancers. It is possible to install some special patches for some of phone models which will enable the option of conversation recording.
After thorough researches it was concluded that your particular target device will not have the possibility to record calls and this problem may not be resolved from our side due to those hardware issues (which were previously stated). You can make a research on your own and find the appropriate firmware for your target device; it may resolve your problem. However, we cannot take the responsibility for those researches and provide any guarantees.
Please accept our apologies.

PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!!!
Hi guys.
I am searching for many days about this, but still no proper information.
(Old sony ercisson and nokia mobile had video calling feature.)
Why there is no default video call app in android?
(Ref: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...res_in_Android )
Why there is no App in market or any module for Xposed framework to enable video calls in droids.
Where some manufacturers have video called function enabled and Korean mobiles (LG, Samsung) has video call function but that doesn’t seem to work in Europe, Asia or America, it works only in korea.
Now I have few queries.
1--> is it possible to make video call from any android via any kind of customization with rooting, installing apps or with xposed framework etc.
2 -- regardless of unable to make video call, can droids receive video calls?
3-- is it possible to make video calls with Korean android mobiles, outside Korea? Or we can say, is it possible to fix this error, “when global roaming, video call not supported”. Or it is possible to enable video call when roaming.
Fronts cams are 50% useless without native video calls in androids, why nobody is trying to add video call feature in android?
i already post it in other section, but got no reply in 2 days, probably that was wrong section
Android as an OS has had video calling for years but the thing is that it has to be supported by the carrier for that device. And up until recently almost no one in the states allowed it. Even with those that do have it. They seldom use it as it is just a gimmic and causes more issues then it is worth.
well i have asked my operator and they say that i can do video calls if my phone support. when i put my sim in my retired e72 i can do video calls over network operators line but cant do video call on my z1c! thats a shame.. i hope some one will write a mod or script for that it work..
cheers.

I missed that it was a Korea device. I hate to say it but your out of luck. They are not made to work fully outside of Korea. Their whole system is set up differently as far as data goes.
As for why people are not looking into this. Well that's simple. It's a gimmic. We spend thousands of dollars with wearable, BT, and other hands free devices just to have to hold the device in front of you makes it very impractical.

Will that work on Tmobile SimCard as well of just Verizon?
What about AT&T? Will It work
I hope that I'm wrong but I'm about 100% sure that this will not work for AT&T. AT&T actually requires a Specialized or particular APK to work. In my previous phone Galaxy S7 Edge these apps were installed during flashing of the CSC
Does not work on Sprint Note 8.

when i do the toggle provisioning in the self provisioning it keeps going back to disable, it wont stay enable. Any idea? Verizon, unlocked note 8
I wanted to add: For me, the Video calling option in settings wasnt there till a hard reboot. After that is exactly like the OP demo'd. Wish I had somebody to call to test lol.

I tried this, but when i go to IMS Information everything is false and can't be changed. It also doesn't have the VZW VoLTE registration information at the bottom of that screen like you have. I see the VZW VoLTE profile under "IMS Profile", but forcing a manual register doesn't seem to do anything

If it is false call carrier to have imei whitelisted and reprovisioned, say it's for connectivity issues...bought from Samsung...afterwards you can see it change to true....you may have to ##SCRTN# to provision on your end...you may just need to update profile and prl...
I wonder if this will get wifi calling once I root. The rooting process uses a method of mixing boot files and essentially makes it a U1 rom with a Verizon csc but wifi calling isn't available. I'm going to give this a go to see if it'll enable it. If anyone has tried let me know. Thanks to the OP for this one.

Interested to know if this fixes wifi calling, if so that's the only reason I haven't checked out root - I get 0 signal at work, and depend on wifi calling for my primary cell number. Google voice works over wifi of course!

Any success with this?
Hey,
I can enable video calling but I cannot use it.
When I make a call, it just shows up for a second and turns off. Does anyone have this issue?
Have to wait 5 more days before I can unlock my phone. The main purposes of unlocking and rooting is for ad blocking (adaway) and call recording, although I understand call recording is now more problematic in Android Pie. Can anyone recommend a decent ROM which supports call recording?
I know Havoc, miui. EU and MiuiMix, but I think all or almost all of AOSP Roms have call recording function
AospExtended also has call recording.
Thanks, actually I've just seen the stock global ROM on my UK purchased model has the call recording feature enabled by default so don't even need a different ROM (or root) for this.
I have had my U.S T-mobile unlocked N986U device for a while now and quite enjoy using it. Apart from wishing it had a bit better battery life (Who doesn't?) and missing bluetooth codecs (aptX) it's as close to perfect as any handset I've ever owned. This brings me to the one feature that I truly need and miss quite a bit- Call recording. This is one where I honestly can't really place the blame on Samsung's feet since google removed the API starting in Pie affecting all android users out there.
I thought I'd start this thread for users to share their workarounds and ways that they've implemented to include this feature in their U/ U1 devices. What have you tried and what has worked and not worked.. Which third party apps have disappointed you and which ones only record one side of the conversation etc..
The good and the bad as they say.. Hopefully there's an option out there even if it's not perfect..
ACR from galaxy play store. It work pretty good for over the headset calls. It is hit or miss over Bluetooth. You will have to play with the settings to get it perfect as I still am doing but it does work.

No dice. I tried recording 5 different regular calls on the t-mobile network and it did not pick up a peep... just absolute silence. I made sure my wifi and bluetooth were turned off as well. I'm on the latest t-mobile march update that just enabled e-sim.. Could that have broken it?

I dont know why its not working for you. Did you enable it in Accessibility->Installed Service? I just checked and all my calls are recorded with the exception of the bluetooth calls which I can hear myself but the other party is very low if even heard.

I have version 33.5. I cleared cache and when that didn't work I uninstalled and reinstalled it. Still silence. Now I don't see it under my accessibility settings nor any way I can add it on there.
The wierdest thing is the first time you install it, there is a notice that says it might not work properly on my phone and that I should install "ACRPhone our new free call recorder etc..." Choosing that takes you to a completely different app and I'm not willing to go there from what I've seen so far..

That was it. I uninstalled the 33.5 newer version from the google play store and installed the prior version 33.3 which shows as the current one from the galaxy store. Immediately this version allowed me to add it to my accessibility settings and It was all good from there.
Moral of this story- DO NOT update to the latest version as long as everything works

Not that I know of and I've been on the N20 Ultra forum from the beginning...
I hope others will chime in with alternatives... although at a first glance everything looks really good with the older version of ACR, I'm not sure how long it'll continue to work.
What about FireFDS via EdXposed to activate NCR? Anyone already tried?

Great.. Do you have it working on a U or a U1 device? Apart from not working over wifi, how is the overall call quality? Does it pick up voice/ sound from the other party equally well? Does it also work over bluetooth/ wired headsets and VOIP services like Viber and Whatsapp? Lastly, can you share a link and the app version you're on?

After everything was working blissfully for a while there it stopped working about a week ago. All my recordings are dead silent now. I noticed that mine had automatically updated from ver. 33.5 to 35.0. I checked both the google & sammy play stores to see if I could revert back to the older version but they're both showing ver 35.0
Is yours still working?
