Hello,
I'm using the Samsung Gear VR Framework to develop a VR 360 video playback app. The video's I will use all have surround sound that need to be lipsync to the video.
It would be best to add to audio to the mp4 video file, but how would you then get that audio so you can rotate it using headtracking? Android mediaplayer will play the audio, but it will not rotate the field when the user rotates his head. The Samsung GVR framework relies on GVRAudioEngine (cardboard / google vr api) classes to playback audio with use of the headtracking (binaural). However, that only works for separate audio files, not linked to video. I'm in the dark on how to sync such audio to a video. The API doens't expose any functions to get/set playback position to allow me to make my own sync engine (I'm even not sure that this would work)
Any pointers are welcome!
Thanks,
Vincent
hello everyone!
when i screen-sharing my s5 trough the chrome cast the default audio source is the tv screen speakers but is seems that i cant change it. however, it is possible to do so while connecting my PC instead by selecting from the browser 'share video only'.
i'v tried almost everything but no success. somebody know a way to do it?
its inside build prop
there's some properties of HDMI connections in build prop
and theres one called
persist.speaker.prot.enable=FALSE
i think if you changed it to true it will work
Hi Guys,
I am thinking of buying the Shield to replace my Sky box but have a few questions please.
1. If I buy HDHomeRun box and connect to Shield, will Shield's native tv channels app recognize HDHomeRun and display the channels properly? Or it will only work with HDHomeRun app? I want to use the native app as it allows to add more sources and has prettier / more integrated interface.
2. Will the native app automatically get correct EPG and live show descriptions without me having to setup anything else?
3. Can I record the shows from native app or should I purchase HDHomeRun subscription for that? If its through subscription, will the native app record the shows or only HDHomeRun app can record?
4. What about catchup tv? Can native app search and play catchup tv? If not, what are the options to set this up?
I basically want to have all-in-one option for both watching, recording and catchup so that all can be done via native channels app (or some other third party app) without me having to open seperate apps for catchup and waching. I want something to mimic Sky box.
Is this possible?
Thanks in advance.
Even though I have both the "allow video autoplay" and the "allow audio autoplay" switches set to off in my Firestick 4K preferences, when I select the Pluto TV app on my Firestick home page, the video with audio still plays when I scroll through the channels while still on the homepage. How do I prevent this?
I have a Xiaomi TV box and see that there is a new Android update. Before install it, does anyone know if it would affect SmartTubeNext in any negative way?
no
SmartTubeNext is an advanced YouTube app for Android TVs and TV boxes, free & open source. Android TV does not affect it at all, You can easily cast it on your Android TV-
Open SmartTubeNext and go to settings.
go to "link devices" (2nd option)
Open your YouTube app on your phone, go to settings > watch on TV.
Click on connect using TV-code and enter the code from your TV.
