[Q] Mytouch 4G orginal boot animation

Can anyone tell me how to change the boot animation to the orginal mytouch 4g animation ?
I recently flashed virtuous unity 2.35 rom. It works great, but i really miss my original mytouch boot animation.
Please help, I need boot & shutdown animations......
In my opinion.. the easiest way to replace the boot animation is to use Root Explorer (or other r/w file explorer). Just navigate to the system/media directory. Then rename the bootanimation.zip file to old and copy it to your sdcard. Then place the bootanimation.zip file that you are going to use in the system/media directory. After you verify that the new animation works you can delete your backup if you like.
But i need the original boot animation files to replace the virtuous unity animations.
Is there any way to find it? Do anyone have a link?

Post 34...just rename and replace file as stated in post above yours....
The bootanimation on Sense ROMs resides in /system/customize/resource/ rather than /system/media.

Creating a Flashable zip problem

Hi I created a bootanimation and want to make it flashable. I followed tutorials from the net and xda. I got two files META-INF and system.
I put my bootanimation.zip in system/media. That's all. I didn't touch META-INF .
After flashing the zip in cwm, it says Installation aborted . Need Help please...
thats because the flashable zip wasnt for your phone
status 0 - wrong update binary
status 6 - wrong update script
here is my template for you
simply download it
open it in winrar (or if using phone just unzip everything)
open the system foler
you will notice a framework folder that is currently empty
you can leave this folder as it is
just create folders to where you want to flash the file to
for example your bootanimation.zip create the following
in the system folder create a folder called media
in the media folder place your bootanimation.zip
the same is true for any other files you want to flash
if you want to flash a file to system/framework just put a file in that folder
if you want to flash a file to system/app just create a folder called app in the system folder and put what you want to flash there
if on winrar you just have to open the zip and right click and create a folder - no need to unzip everything
if on phone and you have unzipped everything just zip everything back up when done
flashable zip template can be download from here
if you are using stock rom you need to enable custom boot animations first using the custom boot enabler zip
(if you already have a custom boot animation and bootanimation.zip working in a custom rom then you dont need to do this)

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
If just a bootanimanion, push using root browser only
Or using a another flashable bootanimation file and the replace the bootanimation.zip with yours
I attch it . Credits to its maker
works perfectly! thanks

GE custom boot animation?

Is there a hotfix to enable bootanimation.zip for GE based roms? i know for TW/ASOP modded bootanimation files exist to process the zip file over qmg files.
if not how does one convert a .zip to qmg and change the existing boot animation on GE based roms.

[S6]New bootanimation in OldStyle!

Hello everyone!
This is my new project for Galaxy S6: a new bootanim!
It is a "remake" of the stock GSII bootanim, my old phone. I've created the .qmg files, but also the .zip file for custom ROMs. For now I've tested it only on a stock based rom. I will leave also the stock PowerOn sound of SII. :good: I'm working on the shutdown.qmg file yet.
Instruction for stock based roms:-Download the .qmg files from the link;
-Grant the superuser access to your file manager (I suggest Es File Explorer);
-Backup your old bootanimation by cute it to internal storage;
-Copy the downloaded files to >>> /system/media, and set the permissions of these files like in the picture (rw- r-- r--);
-Copy "PowerOn.ogg" to >>> /system/media/audio/ui, and set permissions as in the previous file;
-Reboot & Enjoy!
Instructions for custom ROMs:This procedure is not very different from the previous one:
-Backup old bootanimation.zip (/system/media/) to your internal storage;
-Copy the new one to the same dir;
-Set the permissions of these file (rw- r-- r--);
-Reboot & Enjoy!
The Files are in the download section!
Press Thanks button if you liked my BA!
Note:
This operation is not risky, but it is anyway a modding operation. Therefore, I am not responsible for any damages suffered by your device!
