So I was trying to root the AT&T ZTE Maven 3 and successfully access the devinfo in QFIL to unlock the bootloader and patched the boot.img with magisk and then used debloater to remove some apps. It was going good, but then I wanted to try to flash my own system.img which probably wasn't a good idea. Now, it boots to the ZTE logo, and bootloops. I can get into recovery mode, but not FTM mode. When I try to get into EDL mode, QFIL says "Download Failed". Any ideas?
I am thinking because I have access to recovery mode I can flash a signed update or OTA zip, does anyone have one that I can try? Thanks!

Did you back up the original system partition? If not, firstly, that is remarkably stupid, secondly, I forgot which bootloader version I have but I do have my own personal backup partition of system if you need. Should probably work, but unsure.
There are 2 different sets of pins you can short to put the device in EDL mode. I don't have a picture on hand right now but one is somewhere behind the metal shield covering the CPU (picture for that is somewhere on this forum) and another one is one I found which is a tiny resistor (?) that you short that's somewhere next to the SD card slot on the board (easier to access). In EDL you can dump and flash any partition.

Hello All,
I've been searching for hours. I had rooted my LG G2 weeks ago with no problems. I then un-rooted it and I thought reset it to factory. Today in Target I pulled it out of my pocket to make a call and it was black screened to Fastboot.
I have tried holding down Volume - and Power and entering recovery to reset to factory but it immediately goes to Fastboot loop.
I have tried holding down Volume + while plugging in USB for Download Mode but it immediately goes to Fastboot loop.
I have tried adb commands, error: device not found.
I have tried manually updating the Android drivers through Computer Management and selecting many of the Android Platform Sooner versions. My Win7 PC recognizes the phone as ADB Interface > Andriod Sooner Single ADB Interface in Device Manager.
I have tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477595 and flashed both laf.img and I cannot get into Download Mode.
What else can I do? Does anyone have any other ideas?
Thanks for your time!
hey same exact thing just happened to me. i had it rooted from earlier, but ended up keeping the stock rom on my AT&T LG G2 D800. What I think happened was ATT just pushed out an OTA update (not sure about other carriers), supposedly some small 15mb update to prepare for upcoming releases and despite declining the install, the phone of course did it anyways.
No recovery, no download mode, factory reset doesn't do anything.
Thanks AT&T! :good:
Are we completely boned here?
This worked for me

Follow this thread, I tried the TWRP terminal code and it worked. Let me know how it goes
Did anyone figure this out? I am stuck in fastboot mode. I can run fastboot commands, but thats about it.
I can't get to ADB, I can't get to recovery, I can't get to download mode. I reboot the phone and it goes immediately back to fastboot.
I've tried flashing recovery, the laf.img, and even rom's inside fastboot and nothing is seeming to work.

If you can't get adb access with either single sooner or pdanet drivers, you may have to resort to this..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
(actually kind of sounds like fun to me)
if you're stuck in fastboot mode then you can simply use the fastboot commands to write the aboot, sbl1, boot, recovery, laf, rpm, tz and dbi partitions.
you can substitute stock recovery.img for a properly patched twrp/cwm img (renamed recovery). from there you should be able to boot into download mode... custom recovery.. or boot back up.

of course there was a popup saying that my device was suspected of rooting and it won't update.. but who cares, it works now!

Hello friends to see if I draw from this setback. My situation is that I have no recovery or download, but when trying to get the img fastboot does not exceed by "erasing" or "writing" who knows how to solve this please !!
Thank you :good:
Hi !
I might have erased the boot partion. I still got the unlocked bootloader screen, and can still get in fastboot, but that's it. I can't boot in TWRP. I've tried to flash the boot.img from the stock zip, but it doesn't work... anyway to fix this ? It's the A2017G model. All i need is to get into TWRP.

you can try getting into EDL and using MiFlash to flash one of the zips on the Russian page 4pda. Go to the debrick page (the one with the phone carnage pictures inside), find the links for the chinese full recovery package. it will get you to the 4pda page. from there find a package that suits your needs (there is one with aboot and fbop) and flaah with MiFlash
Otherwise download the full B10 recovery package and flash it with MiFlash. you won't lose data but it might conflict if you were on Nougat
I'm in this situation for some days...
No EDL, No recovery, only fastboot and FTU modes are accessible.
And we can't flash via Miflash. It sees the phone only in fastboot mode, and can't flash it.
@op : 2 ways to recover :
- Test points method to force EDL and flash via miflash
- Return to ZTE
If any1 has other solutions ...
FYI : My tests so far :
- Flash boot / reboot / flash recovery : Stuck on ZTE logo, red led on permanently
- Hot load recovery (fastboot boot twrp.img): Command unknown
- Format userdata/cache : No work
- Flash via Miflash in fastboot : "Can't find Eraseall except Data.bat"
- Change drivers by some others one : No luck

I don't know what you mean with FTU mode, but if FTM is meant you should be able to send a "reboot edl" command to activate the EDL mode.

Humm ... Early morning for me ... i meant DFU. Vol+ & - while powering the phone Result on a black screen, and driver is recognized as Handset Diagnostic Driver (DFU COm port x)
Ind in that kind of brick, FTM is not accessible either.

Yeah that pretty much sums it up. If you get ZTE handset diagnostic driver on Ports COM&LPT you'll have to take your device apart and use the test point. If it is recognized as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 it means that you're on EDL. I'd reccomend trying to use miflash like i described, if it doesn't work return it or take it apart
Maybe a bit late for a reply, but I was able to get out of a similar situation (from DFU) by holding power and volume down for a long time. That got me to FTM and then I could reboot into edl via "adb reboot edl". Then I used the Axon7toolkit to flash fastboot and from there I could get to twrp and back in business. Any questions, let me know.
@Piet : How long for the PWR+DWN ? I've tried for something like 40/45 seconds, without success.

From what I read you have to let the device discharge totally, then you can get ftm. I had my battery fully charged when i bricked so i just did the 4th categ unbricking process

It goes back straight to fastboot after LG logo
If you can get into download mode try the 'upgrade' option in lgup
It is stuck in fastboot because your customer tried to root it with lafsploit without unlocking the bootloader.
They have two choices:
1 - Send it to LG to have it repaired.
2 - Wait for me to finish lafsploit 2.0 which will unlock their bootloader, and their phone will just start working.
The partitions that hold the unlock information are not touched when you flash a KDZ, so no amount of flashing is going to fix it.

I think that's what happen, and I don't have any choice except to wait . Returning to LG is not an option.

If you cant get into download mode by powering off, holding vol up and then plugging into a pc (no power button needed) then you dont have a phone anymore. Unless rooted via dirtysanta which replaces aboot (which provides fastboot), the stock fastboot mode of the h918 can't actually flash anything to the phone which means no unbricking with it; TWRP and download mode are only ways to restore firmware.
I know this is an old thread but my gf has the h918 which is unlocked with twrp Installed, she tried updating magisk from inside magisk and now she's stuck in fastboot mode .The fastboot reboot command does not reboot the phone I even booted into twrp and wiped cache any ideas?

This is a Magisk 20.2 issue there's at two threads in the LGV20 forum on how to recover
Sent from my LG-H910 using XDA Labs
I was trying to flash modified recovery image using magisk after that my phone is dead almost.
My phone don't boot in to android. I can't charge my phone because I get message on the beginning
my system is moddifyed my phone shut down automatically after 5 seconds, also i can't unlock bootloader via fastboot i get information "unlock operation is not allowed" .
I have Leeco 650x with mtk helio x27.
I only flashed modified recovery in magisk after that I disabled usb debug and oem unclock. after restart my phone I can't unlock my bootloader and I can't continue bootup to android. All I need to do is restore somehow original recovery.
But how to do that without unlocked bootloader in my situation?
I try to flash new Rome using flash tool but I have error 0xC0030003
Is here any powerful person to solve the problem.
It looks like you flashed firmware for wrong device. Settings say x650 instead of x720 (I am assuming you have x720). I think your best bet is probably the QFIL restore.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/forum....to/guide-unbrick-le-pro3-tested-t3622340/amp/
If you do not have an x720, please disregard this post.

You need to find the LETV X650 Scatter file. I do not know those phones very well. A X600 file may work, you will need to do a lot of research before attempting or you can damage your partitions.
Here is a link for the firmware. https://fapgem.com/video/4tnZoa0H9Q...-firmware-eui-5925s-install-via-fastboot.html
There is a chance that if you can get your PC to see the phone that you may be able to flash the stock firmware. It will not hurt to try it. Again , read extensively before doing anything.
There is a website called Android brick. They have an article on unbricking your phone but I could not access the link. Just Google, or use DuckDuck Go and search Letv X650 Scatter file unbrick.
I just now found this, which may be your solution: https://stephaniefulke.blogspot.com/2015/09/how-to-flash-unbrick-your-mediatek.html
Good luck
Hi there,
after a normal shutdown, my xiaomi redmi 4 prime is not booting anymore.
it is stuck on MI Logo. I can enter fastboot and download mode. Phone is NOT rooted and Bootloader seems to be locked, but fastboot flash recovery seems to work. But all my hope to get a twrp started failed until now. I REALLY need the files from that phone. If somebody can help me, i will pay you money if you SUCCESSFULLY help me recover the files.
Beside, adb mode does not more work, after trying to fastboot flash a twrp image. But in ADB Mode i was in sideload mode, where no commands like pull did work. Oh and i never turned od developer mode i think. I will not stop believing there must be some person on this planet who can rescue my data.
thanks for any help.
I believe adb and developer mode are irrelevant since they work from within the system. One option is to make twrp recovery boot and copy files from it, but since you tried and failed you could try something else, but as last resort since I don't remember if it saved my data.
Since your bootloader is locked you cannot flash boot partition, but you can flash every other which cold fix your system. You should find EXACT same rom you had and extract partitions you want to flash (you have tutorials online, I don't remember, think you just extract them). If you try to flash complete rom with locked partition, process will fail.
fastboot flash system
fastboot flash recovery
fastboot flash data?!or whatever (or not data if your files are there)
Hope I gave you another perspective..
