So, straight to the point, I can't flash any custom binary, because there's no OEM Unlock in developer settings. I've tried literally everything, but no success. It seems Samsung with Android 11 made it that if I'm still paying for my phone to carrier, OEM Unlock option won't show up. It's so stupid.
Is there ANY way around it?

I just found an S6 Edge + (G929G) lying on a park bench, and looked everywhere for the owner. Long Story Short, I´m keeping the phone.
Judge Me, whatever.
It had 7.0 with fingerprint and pin security. Couldn´t access the phone. Factory Reset, Booom FRP Lock.
Had a friend who is an "experto" and via remote, he compiled a new rom with files from different ones.
Several Bootloops after, got the device to boot back on 6.0.1, but couldn't remove the FRP´.
Some friend told me, I know a guy, who works at a 3rd party repair center, he can remove that..
Again, Long Story Short and 10 Dollars later, I have a fully functional device for only 10 dollars, but I´ve read somewere that if you are planning to upgrade again, you should remove the OEM Unlock, enable Debugging, all this before..
I´ve done that but I can´t stand 6.0.1, I want Nougat, I don´t care about Smangung PAY, But I do want the improvements on performance of nougat without having to root, install twrp and f*ck things up again.
TO THE POINT,
--**IF I FLASH AGAIN A NOUGAT ROM WITH ODIN, AFTER ENABLED OEM UNLOCK, REMOVED THE FRP, AND SET UP MY ACCT TO THIS DEVICE**---
CAN I DO THIS? and if it´s possible, should I go with One File or multiple Files Odin Flash process?
So a mate of mine found an A5 recently without any identification on it. Thought he might as well keep it himself else it'll just be useless.
Problem is the phone's stuck in the initial setup so he asked me to unlock it. My plan was to install TWRP, wipe everything completely and flash the firmware again. I can't get to the settings to access the OEM unlock though. Is there any way to unlock the bootloader and/or get TWRP on there so I can completely wipe the phone?
Same situation here... How did it turned out?
I just got this phone today, and I want to root it and use custom ROM, but having troubles. Previously did this on an S6 and it was fairly easy.
Was following one guide, and was getting Fail Auth error from Odin.
Now trying to follow this guide:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/how-to/guide-how-to-install-twrp-root-galaxy-t3752480
But I don't even have OEM unlock in Developer options....
I'm still running 8.0 android. But an update is available, should I update to 9.0?
Please help
Edit:
In an effort to find a way to get the OEM unlock , i found this:
https://www.the***********.com/fix-missing-oem-unlock-toggle-samsung-galaxy-devices/
"The method below has stopped working on the newer firmware released in or after August 2018. In most situations, your device will be forcibly locked and the OEM Unlock toggle will be missing. Ensure that you insert a SIM card, connect to your network, and NOT REBOOT your Galaxy device for straight 7 Days (168 Hours)."
Is this accurate? Would it have to be a sim that's currently network activated if so? I was thinking of continuing to use the active sim in the s6, and an old sim in the s8 until I have it all set up. Also, if I have to wait a week, I probably might as well update to 9.0 that samsung is providing.
Thoughts? Suggestions?

You will need OEM unlocked in developer menu to flash twrp etc. As for getting unlocked you can try different variations of the date method. I have 2 S8's one Oreo one pie both with twlrp, etc got OEM by using a variation of the date method. If not you will have to wait.
As to updating to pie well personal choice my daily driver is still on Oreo while my other phone is on pie.
As to the method the thread you quoted is still valid but a bit outdated as it doesn't take into account of rrm state ( and kg state introduced in pie ). This guide is more up to date but is basically the same procedure but includes RMM fix.

Also be aware the have been updates to twrp as well.
Yea, I've been trying various date methods, but none of them worked for me. The lack of OEM is likely the issue here, so I'll probably just have to wait for a week to proceed
It's been a while since I have beein this world. I used to be constantly flashing my phone and tablets, but for one reason or another I stopped. I've been happy with the 8 pro, just getting a little bored and a little more privacy minded. I don't seem to be able to unlock my bootloader. I tried every set of directions, different pcs, diffeent cords, nothing. I have and IN2025 from the US. The ulock the bootloader option is in red and I can't pick it. I just read an article about how one plus reallly likes this kind of thing and that is what inspired me to start flashing away, but I have had no luck.
Is your phone carrier model with carrier specific rom inside of it? Could that be the reason? Anyway, enable USB Debugging from developer options and try oem unlock from fastboot. Keep in mind that it will wipe your phone completely so backup everything you don't want to be lost forever.
Also you might void your warranty.
I have a samsung galaxy j3 star model number sm-j337t have had it for years was thinking i could use it as a backup phone since i dropped my phone and cracked the screen, hoping to use this samsung till i got another phone but sim is incompatible. but its still a decent phone thought i could root it and still make use of it but it has no oem unlock in the developers options tried date and time chage but still no its been without service for a few years and it wont recoqnize my wifi hotspot so no software update for a while. my question is would a ugrade in software enable the oem unlock so i can then root it? if so how would i go about doing that?
