i have a tablet SM-T355Y but cant seem to find any rom's or kernels. I know T355 stuff works as the TWRP desiged for it works. I know its an old device but it still runs and i don't want to just throw it out while it still works.
Hi @elderwolf123 did you manage to find any roms for T355Y? I'm in the same boat as you still looking for a custom rom.

This is my first android device and I have rooted my phone mainly to be able to use brilliant apps such as Touch Control. I really want the 4.2.2. update but noticed that apps like faux display will not work properly on the 4.2.2 kernel. I am trying to learn more about kernels and ROMs but cant find answer to these questions even after reading various threads..
Could anyone tell me what is the difference between a custom kernel and kernel manager apps that change stock kernel? Also could anyone tell me what I would be able to do with a custom ROM that apps do not allow me to do on a stock ROM..
Thanks
I recently got a SM-T530NU Nook, and I would like to de-Nook it. I have rooted it and installed TWRP, but I am having a hard time figuring out what the most stable ROM available is. It seems like many of the most popular ROMs have camera problems, but please correct me if I am mistaken.
Is there a ROM for this device where everything works as it should? I would be happy with just a rooted non-Nook version of stock if that's my best option, and I'm open to both KitKat and Lollipop, whichever will give me what I'm looking for.
Many thanks in advance!
I have been looking around for a custom rom for this phone but I cant seem to find anything but roms for the 530H. Does anyone know if we will ever see a version of CM for this variant?
I did try searching but I could not find anything.
I was looking also but couldn't find anything.
I really cant find much at all about this variant actually
Hi people. I have been into custom ROMs on my Note 3 (SM-N900W8) in the past, and never found a stable one. So I ended up reverting back to stock Samsung and just using my phone the old fashioned, boring way. Now that I see a newer version of each of the ROMs I've tried, I'm thinking that I may want to get back into installing custom ROMs again.
I can't quite remember what the rules of engagement were when it comes to kernels associated to certain ROMs. I really want to go back to KitKat, as it was my favorite Android version. Right now, I'm on Samsung's stock 5.0 firmware.
AFAIK, you need a pre-5.0 kernel in order to install anything below 5.0. Is that correct? Also, if I wanted to try an Android 6 or 7 ROM (just for the hell of it), am I required to use a different kernel?
Like I said, I'm way out of the loop and need to be re-educated. I'm not even sure what to really search anymore.
Bonus Question: What's the most stable and bug-free Note 3 (Qualcomm) ROM out there?
Thanks people :good::good::good::laugh:

I've been looking for custom Roms for the P585Y model, but haven't found any.
Closest i got to see was T585, but doesn't seem to work.
Any Ideas?
