halogenOS Checklist
Although no data should be lost or damaged by the flashing process,
we advise you to follow the following steps if you are coming from another rom:
Please take a full nandroid backup!
Please copy your back up to an external device.
Backing up your Internal Storage is also recommended.
When completed, please clean flash the build!
Although you usually can dirty flash halogenOS over other ROMs, considering the other
ROM has the same Android version, it is not guaranteed. In case of serious
crashes please do a clean flash.
If you get app crashes after dirty flashing over XOS 6 or another ROM, please just
clear the app data of those apps, and it should work fine then.
XOS is a new generation cutting-edge OS for Android based on Code Aurora Forum releases.
What is XOS?
halogenOS, also known as XOS is a new Android ROM which ships with the global aim to
become a modular ROM which keeps as high as potentially possible operating
performance on your mobile device while still maintaining a sufficient feature
base of nice, small and minimal features that would not be available via any
external feature base, extension, mod or plugin.
We hope you have a truly halogenified experience!
Internals of XOS
At core, the ROM is composed mainly of components from CodeAuroraForums (CAF),
featuring only extremely minor set of components from CyanogenMod (CM) which
have been added to source in order to allow for better cross-device compatibility.

contributors for the sources used in the development of the base ROM which we

How to update the ROM:
Download the latest zip
Reboot into TWRP (Please use official TWRP)
Do not wipe anything
Flash the ROM
Optional : Flash GApps and/or SuperSU
Reboot
You don't need to wipe Cache/Dalvik.
You don't need to flash gapps again. There is some magic going on which keeps your GApps. Just make sure that you don't wipe system before flashing.
You don't need more than 5 minutes.

Buggs i found:
Can't enable Google's assistant.
Home button long press action not working.
And poor RAM management. Can't open a single app over another app.Even Music app stopping when another app is opened..
Snap cam will be better if it is included..
Sometimes flashlight not working.
Camera force stopping after flashing any modes like magisk.
Bt it have good battery backup and other wise its a stable ROM.

*Everything working fine and smooth.
*Snap cam working good
*But home button action still not working
*Big thing is that it lost the battery backup like in last build.
*Slow charging, fast draining. This is the issue while comparing to older build

Hey Bruno. Just reporting some bugs!
- YouTube doesn't work for long. Tried Vance, still crashing.
- Taskbar icons are on a wrong position, they should be lower, alligned with the search bar, you can check this with CPL.
- Night Light doesn't work at all.
- Getting a weird, "device malfunction" message after boot, however it seems to be working fine. Perhaps this message can be removed?
Anyway, hope it helps man, thank you so much for porting this rom. Do you plan on further updating it and ironing out this bugs? Would the updates come out via ota?
If you need direct feedback, I've already contacted you about GCAM on telegram and I'm on the groups, just let me know. If I can I will help further improve the ROM. Thanks Again.

i updated it from your older Oreo version from download.pixelexperience.org, through TWRP. The reboot was stuck at FASTBOOT. After doing like the introduction, step-to-step, but it still boot at FASTBOOT. Please help

How do I fix the Sound on my J7 Pro?

[ROM][OneUICore-2.0] M20 Port for M30 [m30lte]

As the quest for port ROM's continue, in the course of extensive internal development done by me @Akhil99, here is a quick port of the M20 SM-M205F to M30 SM-M305F and should work on the M305M as well(not tested).
Do note this is a FULL SYSTEM PORT, all M20 feature should work, also ported AOD as M20 don't have this feature.
I am sharng this as I felt this to be very smooth and lightweight ROM with full M20 features.
Everything seems to be working and extensive testing of THIS has not been done.
As usual, I am not responsible for damage to your device, you, the user is choosing to make these modifications.
Your device's warranty is VOID if this procedure is followed, Proceed at your own caution!
This might be one of the first and last vndk-lite ports for the SM-M305F/M.

c.Get ROM zip (See downloads at end of post).
e.Boot into TWRP and Wipe System, Data, Cache, Dalvik Cache.
f.Place the single ROM zips you downloaded on MicroSDCard as you will be Formatting Data later.
g.Install M20 Port ROM zip file, read on screen instructions.
h.After installing, format data in Wipe->Format Data->yes
k.No need to flash any other zip, this is a standlone ROM zip.
l.Reboot into system.
Device will take some time to install and bootup, wait patiently.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:
========================================================
If you're coming from TurboROM or other custom ROM apart from stock skip to step "c", assuming you have BL unlocked and the latest TWRP installed.
a.Make sure bootloader unlocked and the Odin Download mode splash screen displays KG State:checking and OEM LOCK: OFF.
b.Get the latest TWRP stable over here https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-m30/development/recovery-twrp-3-4-0-0-recovery-t4131667
c.Get ROM zip (See downloads at end of post).
e.Boot into TWRP and Wipe System, Data, Cache, Dalvik Cache.
f.Place the single ROM zips you downloaded on MicroSDCard as you will be Formatting Data later.
g.Install M20 Port ROM zip file, read on screen instructions.
h.After installing, format data in Wipe->Format Data->yes
k.No need to flash any other zip, this is a standlone ROM zip.
l.Reboot into system.
Device will take some time to install and bootup, wait patiently.
In the mean time read over the features listed below.

:victory: thanks ,,this m20 port for m30 rom is fast and better than the m30 turbo port.
But there is one bugs in camera , front and back camera full ratio is not supporting it shows camera fail , error , and my selfi camera is 16mp but after installing this rom it's only 13mp :silly:
It's been three days I haven't found any other bug it's working flawless,,,,

Download required files.
Reboot recovery
Flash the create vendor
(J2 Core users) must obviously flash the new repartion script.
J2 CORE user should flash Go-repartition-script instead of the normal one
Reboot recovery and wipe system, vendor, cache and format DATA.
Copy the rom to your phone and flash it.
Reboot to system and wait for 5-10 Mn.
Setup your phone, update apps and Enjoy QUACK .

how to install pls ?

Hello developer! Thank you for making a great rom!
I have tried flashing the rom for my phone sm-j330l korean variant. I tried to do the steps in the installation guide above but my phone can't boot up only get a black screen. So you can help me to be able to use this rom.

I can't boot this rom or project kebab on j330g, I just get the black screen but on version 1.0 it sometimes shows the samsung boot animation but still bootloops. I left my phone for an hour and it didn't boot so I just flashed the stock rom. This looks like a good rom and project kebab would be even better.

Works ok on my j330g but I can't set pin unlock screen and can't recognize sd card. It always show sd need to fix or reformat.

hello, this rom works fine on my j330FN
only issue so far is the audio is not working

I've tried to flash this rom (v2) in my j3 2017 (sm-j330fn)...the process seemed ok, but at the end, when pressed "final reboot", the system reboot and a blank screen appears...15/20 min in such condition. What's the problem? the ROM is not compatible? thanks

the first time i've tried to flash this ROM the problem was the black screen after reboot. I don't know why, but i used the procedure proposed in the first page of this thread. However I've tried again, by following this link
but with files uploaded on this thread (so...createvendor 2.0)...and magically it works. However, do not kill yourself...if you have j330fn audio and SDcard will not work...so...we have to wait and cross the fingers for new update-fix ....developers do not answer anymore

When next update with sound?

Hi,
I've tried the 2 versions and the results...
. v1 appears the Samsung logo (will boot with workaround described in the upper video)
. v2 only a black screen (will boot with workaround described in the upper video, I have to make it 3 times: first black screen, second Samsung logo, third it boots finally!)
There is already some solutions to these?
I'm currently testing the v2 version on a SM-J330F. Will gave feedback latter.

This ROM is no good at all in SM-J330F!
After installation the mobile appears identified as J5 Prime on google and in the Options -> About mobile.
The hardware buttons / navigation at bottom of mobile does not work (it shows a similar buttons at the bottom on the display).
After the mobile goes to sleep there is no way to return it back, not even with power button. The only way was receiving a call, message or some other thing that wakes the display.
No further test have been made, simply uninstall it. It is impossible to operate mobile with those faults.
Appreciate the developer efforts but this ROM doesn't fit SM-J330F as suggested.
