Good evening Ladys and Gentelmen,
i recently found my old J5, that i bricked ca. 1 Year ago.
Here is everything that i have so far:
The Phone can boot into Odin-Mode when using a debrick.img that i found here, after getting into said mode, i naruraly flashed the phones stock rom (downloaded with Frija-v1.4.3). This did nothing, as the phone didnt boot after i unpluged the sd card. So i tried it whit the card. Now the phone gets to the "splash screen" but not further it also has the Download mode in the top left corner.
However, when plug the phone into my pc, without the sd-card, my pc detects it as "qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008". And this is where im pretty mutch stuck.
I read about something called "QFIL" but i need a rawprogram.xml and a patch0.xml file, wich isnt in the Rom.
So can i fix the phone, or should i throw it back into the box i found it in?
Thanks in Advanced and Greetings from Germany

Hi everyone,
I've a situation, i've got a used Samsung S8 from the UK, and it's working so far perfectly with my carrier (Moroccan one), and i'm trying to update it (via settings) but it always says that there's no update yet, and i'm thinking about doing it manually with Odin, but i'm worried if i install the wrong ROM or something it might lock my phone and i can't use my sim anymore, so my questions are:
1/ How can i know if my phone is already fully unlocked.
2/If i install a rom manually should i go with the UK version or the moroccan one?
3/ in case i install the wrong rom with the good (PDA / CSC) but with a different region, what're the risks?
(Here bellow Firmware / Service provider screenshots)

Try connect your S8 to PC, and run Samsung Switch (on PC). It should say after some minutes, that there´s a newer version of firmware
Flashing stock rom with different build number and baseband version on S8
Hi,
Extreme newbie here, So I got the latest Oreo update on my S8 . since I want to go back to nougat for some development reason I decided to flash a stock nougat firmware on my device. My build number is G950FXXU1CRB7 but the version I downloaded is G950FOXM1AQK7 but the region is same . So I want to know if I flash this ROM on my s8 , will it cause any damages ? if so , what will be the possible damages that can cause ? Thanks in advance .
Hello dear XDA developers.
I have a Samsung Tab A6 10.1 2016 With Android (8.1.0)(T580XXS5CTD1) with FRP lock on after my little sister erased everything through recovery mode .
1) I used an FRP ADB ENABLED FILE MAKER and created Sboot File and connected it with z3x and it said it was done but it got stuck on RNMP PROVISIONED .
2) I used a combination file under the name COMBINATION_FA60_T580XXU5ATD1 and got to factory binary then again connected it to Z3X and clicked on UNLOCK FRP and did it then used 4 files stock rom SM-T580_T580XXS5CTD1_Oreo(Android 8.1.0)_XEF_Factory Rom (5 File)_20200427 but after it booted the FRP lock was still on and nothing happened any solutions please.

Is twrp booting , or the phone is showing frp logo and just rebooting in odin mode ,
Btw if you want to flash anything with odin , try once more by installing samsung drivers by seraching latest samsung drivers and odin by latest samsung odin and make sure to use the cable which came with your phone or any other good working cable but the cable should be a data cable also rather than just usb charging cable.
Hi, guys can you help me with a littel advice! Like i wrote in title i have a Samsung J5 (SM-J500F) it was bought second hand and was already with a custom rom. Now my phone don't work, all i can see it's a black screen and nothing work's, no download menu, can't connect to Odin.....can i save the phone or just stay 2 months and buy a new phone. I found this pdf any of you know if it's a scam or it's actually true ?
And i'm sorry if i posted in wrong topic!
Don't know much about Samsung phones but mine can not boot into download mode using Home+Vol.Down+Power anymore.
However, it works if I do the following:
1) Open Odin
2) Power off device
3) Hold Power+Vol.Up+Vol.Down, while doing this plug in your cable.
4) Maybe you have to long press Vol.Up now
4) Odin should detect phone and phone should be in download mode
Don't know if that still works since I'm refering to my Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i which is really old (highest official Android OS was 2.3.6).
If it doesn't work, someone else may help you.
I try that but is not working.... Thx for reply
Hello,
sometime ago, I tried to install a custom ROM (it required a repartitioning script) on my old Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) - SM-A320FL, but after many attempts I wasn't able to install the OS through the custom recovery (OrangeFox R11.0) so I gave up.
Now I decided to go back at it and give it another shot, but first I wanted to return to Stock ROM to see if everything was okay.
After flashing everything with Odin, the installation of Oreo fails, and so I'm stuck in the Stock Recovery.
I tried to flash the phone many times, I even tried doing Nand Erase and Re-partition by using the PIT file that was in the ROM I downloaded, but the outcome is always the same
(On the first reboot I can see the Android updating page, the installation fails, it throws me in recovery - If I reboot the phone it remains stuck on the white Samsung screen).
The stock Recovery always shows this error:

}
I downloaded the firmware files using Friya 1.4.4.0, with the Model set as SM-A320FL and the CSC as ITV (unbranded).
Maybe I choose the wrong CSC, and this is why it's not working, but I'm not sure. The other country codes for my country (IT) should be the following:
FWB, GOM, HUI, OMN (Vodafone), OXA*, TIM, VOM, WIN, XET

Honestly, I'm not sure on how this error can still persist after a complete re-flash of the device, so I'm here asking for your help. Thanks.
