I've been trying to root my phone for the last two months and every possibility that's come up has failed, is there someone who can help me without me having to pay someone to root it for me?

I have never updated my S4 since I got it. I rooted it a few months back, but when I try downloading the new updates, it always says that my update has failed when I'm rebooting to install the updates. I don't know if this has anything to do with the root. I read that it probably shouldn't have anything to do with the root since it will normally just get rid of the root if I update it. I want to know how to update my phone. I don't really mind if it gets rid of the root. Thanks!
Nobody?
This has been discussed in other threads several times.
You're lucky it's not downloading. You'll most likely lose root and never get it back if you up date.
Hi all, my Note 3 is an SCL22 AU Japan. I have to inform you that I'm no expert with unlocking, rooting, and other technicalities involved when getting my phone to work. I just really need it to be unlocked and properly work without freezing, restarting, etc.
It's been around 8 months now since I used some guy's modded firmware (or whatever it's called, newbie here) Chinese SM900D through skype and had him teach me to root and unlock my Note 3. It was a success, and I had rooted and unlocked my Note 3. Now I am experiencing issues with Nova Launcher Prime, sometimes it just freezes and I am left with no choice but to force restart. Also, it restarts from time to time (already formatted my SD, unmounted and mounted). The restart is really quick, more like a fast boot or something.
Since it's been around 8 months or so since I rooted and unlocked it, I was wondering if there may be some new firmware or new method I can use to prevent the problems I am currently having. Can anyone point me to a newbie friendly and updated thread that may help me? I really liked this phone before, but now it's like it's dying and I want to save it. Any help is appreciated. Thank you all!
So hi all, this is my first post on XDA. Finding information these days you think would be easy but alas it's been one big waiting game.
A little background, I've wanted for the longest time to link my ps3 controller (WIRELESSLY) to my s4, but Verizon forced an upgrade to Lollipop, I hate it and it's been a nightmare for me.
I learned I would have to be root to get the controller to work wirelessly, but I wanted root access for other reasons well such as bloatware removal and interface customization.
So I've been skulking around forums like a hawk, finally I found king root but it wouldn't root my phone and I wasn't about to install it on my PC, too risky... so I waited and waited and waited.
several months pass...
New update for King root will now work to root my phone, and I was able to replace it with super-sume, root checker showed I was rooted and Bazinga! Off I was at last. I removed a couple pieces of bloatware but before I continued I thought it might be wise to reboot the phone while rooted to make sure everything is kosher.
Phone comes back up, no problems. but now ROOT ACCESS IS GONE. I read up and discovered that in some cases the boot-loader will unroot the phone everytime you reboot. I don't want to have to re-root my phone over and over again, that's a pain in the arse.
I read up on some laws felt confident if I called Verizon they wouldn't be able to give me a hard-time, I just wanted to know how to disable the boot-loader locking things up.
I ended up with tier two, who they stated all their 4G devices are unlocked... when I got into the nitty gritty regarding the bootloader the techs I spoke with were lost.
I just want to be able to root my phone and KEEP root. I wish I had Kit-Kat because this wouldn't even be an issue but I don't. Can anyone help? I'm so sick of this crap.
HALP PLZ :crying: :crying:
Another small caveat I should mention, when I reboot my phone, it has an unlocked padlock but root checker states that root access in no longer properly installed and I can't do anything that I'd be able to do rooted either. Before the reboot, root was showing as properly installed.
Wrong forum, there is a Verizon subsection.
Verizon phones are all unlocked...... meaning you can insert whatever SIM card you feel like putting into it.
The bootloader, however, is locked. It will remain locked and it's more than likely never going to be unlocked. Write access is dependent on an unlocked bootloader. The security checks are set up as such that if you attempt to alter the system files, they'll just all return to normal on a reboot.
You can use a temp root method on Android 4.4, but as you figured out.... when you reboot, Bye Bye Root!
There is not, nor has there been, nor will there be a bootloader unlock unless somebody cracks Samsung's encryption keys. You have a better chance of winning the Powerball jackpot than doing that.
Use CF root if you wanna perm and thing solved..
Hi. So a few days ago i accidentally left my phone outside and turned on the sprinklers. When i found it it was super wet. The power button wouldn't work and it would turn on and off for some reason so i went to ask my friend for help. I had insurance but i wanted to let him check it out to see if he could fix it. He said i had rooted my phone and the warranty is off and he doesn't know what to do. I had rooted my phone and then i updated my phone to lollipop, rooted it back and bricked it. It took me a while to unbrick it back. and then i asked for assistance from root experts and my phone rooted. I finally unrooted it a few months ago. my friend says theres this message on my software updates saying that it has been modified in an unauthorized way. Is there any way for me to not let mobile find out that its rooted so i can get a new phone with my insurance? Is my phone properly unrooted? I used odin and now i asked my dad and its still not working. Please help!
Someone I work with has the s5 active model g870a that has received the marshmallow 6.0.1 update. Something has happened that for some reason has wiped all of the pictures from her phone. I was going to see if I can recover anything from the phone, however I will need root access if I am going to examine the empty parts of the drive to see if I can recover anything. Does/can anyone tell me an effective rooting method for this phone? Does anyone have any idea how I can attempt a recovery of the photos without root?
*Edit*
I see there is a cf autoroot for SM-G870W. I feel like if I try this method I'm going to be looking at a bricked phone.
It can not be rooted, live and learn.... bu next time...
