Samsung s10+ g975f - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Questions & Answers

Hi all, back here again.. I used to have a Samsung s8 rooted, but now I have a s10+, stock firmware.. Heard about the multi button boot up to have Magisk installed. Is their a way around this now, is their a kernel with Magisk Imbedded so it's always rooted and don't lose root with reboots? Which kernels are good for this? Also will these kernels work with latest firmware, stock firmware, I don't want a custom rim, Thankyou

HELP PLEASE ! want to upgrade from 4.2.2 to Lollipop

Hey Everyone!!
Thank you for looking at this thread.
In a nutshell, I got my i9505 galaxy s4 since June 2013, rooted it straight away when i got it, its got twrp recovery, and im on omega v9 4.2.2. Havent touched it since to date
It does not have knox.
Is there a way I can simply upgrade to something like cm 12.1 with 5.1.1 with everything working, by simply flashing latest cm with gapps using twrp, or will I have to upgrade bootloader, radio, get knox, or even just start over, flash stock samsung lollipop firmware with knox using odin, in order to do so?
I already a while back tried updating twrp to latest, and tried flashing cm with lollipop 5.0 when it first first came out, but only 2g was working, and signal would cut if i lock my phone. Im guessing this is due to bootloader/radio incompatibility, or maybe because it was early builds? Apparently i cant flash lollipop bootloader and radio over old 4.2.2 stuff without consequently installing knox? Is knox that bad? I heard its better to not have knox but if its the only thing stopping from lollipop then so be it.
Any help and advice much appreciated.
Hope to hear soon,
DJ
You can try upgrading just the modem to be able to flash an Android 5.x ROM, but it likely will not work and thus you will have to flash an updated bootloader as well. The good news is that since your S4 is out of warranty, whether you trip the Knox flag or not will not matter.
You should be able to flash the updated bootloader and radio without having to install an entire ROM, though you might want to download the latest ROM for your S4 anyway. There is a thread in I9505 General that has a list of bootloaders and modems that can be downloaded and flashed through Odin. From there, you should have no problem flashing the custom ROM of your choice through recovery.

XT1625 Non-prime unlocked BL -64 to nougat?

Is it possible to update from the -64 marshmallow to nougat?
Yes. I did it. No issue unless you root or install custom recovery. If you did that, go back to stock flash and run the OTA from there. You can then flash TWRP and root just like before. I have not found any nougat ROMs worth the trouble. Even with nougat modem, I had slow WiFi (802.11b slow) and LTE. No flashlight from quick settings on any. Poor battery. I went back to modded stock mm because I can't find my preferred UI tweaks available yet for magisk, and the Xposed ones screw up nougat.

I'm currently running Lineage OS installed right now, I have no issue with the flashlight, but I remember a bad build causing that issue on my phone in the past. The only issue I have right now is that Wi-Fi Direct is currently not working, meaning screen casting won't work. Voice over LTE is even working.

Echoed ROM bootloop

Hello all! So, after pulling my hair out trying to root this S7E on 6.0.1 with engboot and failing(if I'm just being dumb about that please let me know), I upgraded to 7.0 and was finally able to achieve root! However, after trying to flash the Echoed rom I get stuck in a boot loop at "Powered by Android" screen. I'm unsure of what to do, as I've tried two different times to flash with the same result.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
It's because echoed is a marshmallow Rom, and you're on nougat. Once you update, you can't go back. You'll have to flash the stock nougat firmware again and root again if you want root. I believe echoed has a nougat Rom out on their website, but I'm pretty sure it's not for at&t s7 or s7 edge.

That makes sense. Do you happen to know why I get stuck in a boot loop when I flash the engboot on marshmallow? I can't seem to find a solution for that.

update stock rom with magisk

Hi all,
I have a little question, I'm on s7 edge exynos, do you know if it's possible to find a flashable zip of last stock rom to flash it on recovery?
Or what is the best way to update my root stock rom without lost of my data?

Can I install a custom Nougat (SS-basesd) rom on Bootloader V3?

I'm using G950FXXU3CRGH Android 8 on S8 Exynos (SM-950FD)\
I have Facebook loading issue and battery life problem that make me really annoyed.
I want to know if I can downgrade to Android Nougat by Installing a custom rom (SS-based) while using V3 bootloader.
My phone is rooted , unlocked bootloader and twrp installed.
Thank you in advance.
I'm interested too.
There's no way of downgrading the 3th bl sammy released, tho the rollback to Nougat can't be made. Only from the first Crap bl you could have done it, atleast that's what I'm aware of.
