Problems with headphones and audio - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Questions & Answers

Good day. I have a redmi note 7 official rom. Everything updated and running. I have 2 problems
When i have headphones plugged in (wired, not Bluetooth) the ringtone comes through the headphones. But i remember on other phones that you could make it sound from the speaker too. Why it's not happening here?
When headphones are plugged in but phone is in silent mode, i get no sound nor vibration.

[Q] sound playing through speakers and headphones

Hi guys,
Is there a reason why when i plug in headphones ( i tried a few types) sounds will play through both the speaker and the headphones? Is there a setting to turn this off, or is this a hardware or software problem? what do i do?
I downloaded IHeartRadio (Verizon edition) and tried it out with headphones plugged in and the audio definitely did not come out of the speaker also.
I don't know if the speaker muting is software or hardware controlled, but if you're running stock from a fresh reboot and it still is coming out of the speaker I would guess it is a hardware issue.

[Q] sound plays on the speakers even if there is a headest plugged on the tab

Hi
Yesterday I wanted to look at a movie on my tab;
I plugged a headset on the tab, and started to play the movie.
The curious thing is that the sound came both from the tab speakers and in the headphones.
How could I do to have the sound ONLY on the headphones ?
Thanks
Nico
The Tab should simply recognize the jack has been plugged in, and deliver sound only to the headphones.
Is it playing on BOTH the headphones and speakers, or just the speakers?
As a simple test, check if you get the same problem using a different set of headphones.
I've had a similar experience a few times, where the sound will play out of both the speakers and the headphones (annoying those sitting next to me on planes). What worked for me was simply unplugging the headphones and then plugging them back in again, until you see a small headphone icon on your status bar. Once you see that icon, you can be fairly certain the sound is only coming out of the 'phones.
I know it's a simple remedy, and you have probably tried it already, but that's what worked for me.
I forget what the app is but there is an app in the market that will solve this problem if the unplug and replug method doesn't work for you.

[Q] I sound notifications that come from the speaker when my headphones are plugged

I sound notifications that come from the speaker when my headphones are connected. I'm with the I9505XXUAMDN release. My headset is plugged completely.

Possible to completely silence the back speaker when headphones are connected?

HI, I don't want any notifications or ringtones to play through the back speaker of my S4 when the headphones are plugged in. I want to ONLY hear those sounds in my headphones. Completely muting the phone doesn't work because then obviously I wouldn't hear anything in the headphones either.
So, is it possible to do this on the GT-i9505 ?
My old Samsung Galaxy Spica did this and I really miss that "feature".
That's weird yours plays thru the rear speaker mine plays everything thru the headphones when connected
HA! this is a hugeass issue on every android I've owned. im assuming you're using poweramp or something right? the stock player pauses the song to play it thru the headphones which is probably why that dude up ^^ doesn't get that.
anyways some kernels fix this, namely Boeffla Sound on the sgs3. sadly I've seen no fix on the s4. SO! , here's what your can do; in your music player (power amp, etc), under audio settings, turn on Settings>Audio>Audio Focus> and tick 'Short Audio Focus Changes', this will pause your music on notifications.
ORRRRR a far better solution is when you plug in your 3.5mm jack headphones (cause this shii* doesn't happen on bluetooth), you can just pull down your notification bar and tap over to vibrate mode. then you'll hear notifications IN YOUR HEADPHONES a little quieter but still noticeably behind your music, and your music won't pause or mute or anything.

Headphones not detected until restart

Hi,
I plugged in headphones this morning and the music played out of the loud speaker. Tried another pair and still the same. Restarted the phone (with headphones connected) and music started to play through the headphones. However, as soon as I disconnect the headphones I have to repeat the above steps to make them work again.
Has anyone else had this issue and know a work around?
Thanks,
Rich
Guys,
What are the new AKG headphones like quality wise?
