Hi guys,
For those who do not use this app - it is used with DJI company drones. I have Phantom 3 standard version.
When drone broadcast live video view to my phone I see it all messy with purple and green lines (see picture attached).
In photo mode it happen only when I set 16:9 aspect ratio. It works well on 4:3.
Video recording mode is only in 16:9 so I always see this messy view. As far as I understand, my cell phone does not support 16:9 aspect ratio.
Tried to question DJI support, but they told me this is problem with my galaxy SIII I9300.
Do you have any ideas how to solve this problem? Would custom rom or kernel help with it? Or maybe there is a fix ?
I use stock 4.3 android.
Sorry for my bad English,
and thanks in advance.

Hello, As DJI updates there GO app more devices start to become less compatible, This issue is also known to happen when aircraft and app firmware are mismatched. They have a list of devices i just copied this from DJI's website
Android Version v2.8.0.
Requires Android 4.1.2 or later.Compatible with Samsung tabs 705c, Samsung S6, Samsung S5, Samsung NOTE4, Samsung NOTE3, Google Nexus 9, Google Nexus 7 II, Ascend Mate7, Huawei P8 Max, Huawei Mate 8, Nubia Z7 mini, Sony Xperia Z3, MI 3, MI PAD, Smartisan T1.
from my experience you can cnange ROMS on some devices and have this work, My experience was it made the the app run way better but this is not always the case, for instance I just loaded a fresh new CM 13 Rom on my Droid razr XT912, the Rom is super clean of bloatware and is supper fast, I enabled USB debugging but when I connect the RC (DJI remote controller) to the Phone. I don't get the USB debugging authorization box so in my case the ROM upgrade did not help I tried two versions of the ROM something is not right with the That version of the ROM on that specific device, I was able to load (CM 12 on an HP 21 Slate tablet) and have had really good luck with it. I say try it and if it don't work go back back stock. I'm asking around because I want this issue Fixed :silly:
I have Huawei P20 Pro now, and OP 6t or 6 is interesting for me I want to find out the Oxygen OS.
But I'll change my phone in fall, to a Pixel 4/4 XL, OP 7T or Note 10.
Camera, software, battery life and teh speakers which is important for me.
Camera is great on p20 pro but Pixel is better in this category, front facing camera is so bad at p20 pro and I like the pixel's more, and OP has ported Gcam. How good is that?
Battery life on this phone is great, and probably the 6T is as good as it, because OP always has good battery life and the 6/6T runs Android Pie which is also better for battery.
Software where is the P20 Pro is bleeding. Emui is the worst I've ever used. I did not use stock android or Oxygen OS. I just saw them on my frieand's rooted phone. I I love the smoothness and the cleanness of the stock android, and the customizations of Oxygen OS. That's why I'm interested in Pixel 4/4xl or OP devices.
Speakers is not too much important but good to have stereo speakers. What is a sad point at OP but Google Pixels has good speakers.
Display is not the best on P20 pro. I used Galaxy Note 8 before and Samsung is the king of the screens. It was sharper, it had better colors. But the screen is just a good point, not necessarily to be better than the Samsung's Amoled display.
I want to try out the OP maybe I'll not like it that much as I expect, but I might help then to chose between Pixel 4/4XL and OP 7T.
So my question is.
Should I chane my P20 pro for this couple of months to a OP 6 or 6t?
Or just wait for Pixel 4/4xl or OP 7t?
Thank you for helping me!
Camera is average, Speaker is average, Battery life is amazing, Software can be good latest patch is a bit meh but older builds are great.
It comes down to how much money you will lose from the P20 and then on the 6T if that's an issue for you. If money is no problem then go for it
Camera is average, but what about ported GCam? Does it help a lot or just a bit better??

Just a bit better... Camera sensors are budget Sony sensors.. So yeah nothing amazing going on here in the camera department if you require it at top of your list look elsewhere.
I came from P20 Pro as well. Go for it. You will not regret it.
Camera is really fine. The gcam mod makes it even better, especially portrait shots. You won't miss the P20 camera after a few days.
There is a stereo speaker mod for oneplus devices so you will not really miss that as well.
Battery is about the same usually. I'm getting even better battery life with the 6T with custom kernel.
Oxygen OS is far better than EMUI so you're gonna love it.
Thank you!
I think I give it a try. I'm interested in OP so it will be good for experience. If I like it and the Pixel will have some issues, I might stay with 6T for a longer time.
I would definitely wait for the OnePlus 7. The 6 and 6T are good options but the cameras not great, and no dual speakers, battery life is great on the 6T,I had the 6 also and honestly prefer the 6 over the 6T because its the fingerprint is better and the software is better optimized on the 6.
The only main advantage you would get from switching to OnePlus from where you are now would be the software. It is much cleaned and much faster than anything else with regular updates especially on the open betas.
If you must,go with the 6T if you don't mind ghe slower in screen fingerprint, but has bigger battery.
I would just wait for the 7 at this stage
Actually I don't want to pay for 7, I will be more expensive than the P20 pro, and my main plan is buy a Pixel 4 or 4 XL, so I'll go for 6T which is near same price with P20 pro, and save money for later to the pixel's.
Hi, I'm planning to upgrade Redmi K20 after using A1 for almost 2 years. Is it a good choice considering my requirements of a great build quality with glass back, good camera (including a wide angle camera) and a Amoled screen. Internal specs doesn't really matter that much till it can drive my daily apps smoothly.
Why not.
If i would be buying, i would check if any recognised ROM developer getting that phone. If there isn't a good developer base in XDA, you have to entirely rely on Xiaomi; for updates, for ****ty camera updates etc.
Mi A3 is available, good specs for around 200 bugs
I was waiting for A3, but that subpar display is a big show stopper for me (HD + pentile matrix [emoji2961]). I will wait a bit and if there are no news about proper Android One successor (A3 "pro"), I am going to risk MIUI on 9T. Maybe I'll get used to it with root and some modifications..who knows [emoji846]
Has everyone forgot about treble support by default on newer devices?
Devs will be trying to make GSIs, which will result in much better ROM availablity. And newer kernel isn't a big deal like it was few years back.
So go buy any phone you want.

I just purchased my Mi 9T 2 days ago. The difference between Stock and MIUI is night and day. I miss being able to pull down the notification shade using the fingerprint scanner.
And although the navigation buttons on A1 take up screen real estate, the gesture navigation on the 9T just feels clunky. I hate the swipe left/right on screen to go back.
It was also a headache to remove the bloat apps, as I use mostly Google apps. And I haven't had any experience of Xiaomi Ads, but removing those were the first thing that I did.
In all fairness tho, for the price, it was worth the upgrade because of the camera, Snapdragon 730 and the gorgeous Amoled Screen. I'll probably swap MIUI w/ Lineage OS soon.
Yes, yes, it's possible to love a phone. Heck, you sleep next to it, don't you? Rate this thread to indicate your love for the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra, all things considered. A higher rating indicates that the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra is an incredible phone that you enjoy tremendously. You love it.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
It's not only the best phone I've ever used, I think it's clearly far & away the best in class for a phone today and I genuinely want it to raise bars for what's possible with the hardware. As a package, it's remarkable. Best in class overall & in many areas.
I just love it. Nothing is a disappointment. Getting on the xiaomi.eu ROM negated the ill effects of importing a deGoogled phone. It's reliable, charges in ludicrously quick time, is a fantastic camera, seems unofficially pretty splashproof. Feels good, looks good, sounds good, works with everything
Yes, it gets five snowflakes
A few weeks in I have an update!
I'm in the UK. I switched to EE as they confirmed what I figured out: band 20 is not their only 4g band for rural areas. All the old 3g bands are now 4g bands.
So I get 4g everywhere. I live in semi rural Cheshire. If you didn't tell me this had no band 20 I wouldn't know.
And the phone is running Xiaomi.eu rom. As no root yet I also run Blockada. The combination of both means no web ads and no app adverts either.
I feel like I've solved 75% of the software problems. Between this and the flawless hardware I think it's a flawless phone. As long as you're not a lazy user who never reads threads or works things out.
No notification light? TrueEdge works a dream for edge lighting customisable by app or even contact
Headphones quiet? Not with the EU ROM, no stupid warning either
Google maps? Working. I can see where I was yesterday
Everything else is just gravy. I can manage over a day between charges but it's a struggle. This can only go up with root, Greenify works without root to an extent but I do miss lspeed.
I would like to say. You're still importing a phone built for China. I cannot recommend this if you're too lazy to read the EU thread and put on that ROM which makes it westernised and with Google. You'll end up with a phone stuck in Chinese you leave to waste.
In that sense it's not a full recommendation. However if you're on XDA you should at least be open to the idea of modifying your phone for the best performance.
But it's my daily phone now. I use it for work and play. For music , video, streaming to Chromecast, amazing photos (seriously. Plus you can set it to RAW)..
If you buy it and never want to modify it you're either a fool or live in China.
If you buy it and want to unlock it welcome to XDA! You are reading a review of the best phone I've ever used (and I've been modifying phones since jailbreaking my iPhone 3g)
I miss my stereo speakers on the mi 10 pro and that's it!
If this phone had the same speakers this would be untouchable!
Build quality is amazing. I got the silver 16gb ram with 512 memory and I can't be more happy. Some websites like gsm arena state the silver model is actually ceramic not glass. Can't confirm
Antipecterial screen protector and case in the box are a wonderful touch by xiaomi
Screen is fantastic. Haptic feedback is too notch. Great hardware from all aspects
Speakers are good. Samsung level I believe but no where near the amazing ones on the mi 10 pro!
Battery is good. this beast just changed how I use my phones. Now I don't leave it overnight to charge it worry if I run out of juice. Between the 120w charger at home. 100w car charger and 55w wireless on my desk it is never below 80% at any given time on a busy day
Camera is good. Wide-angle videos looks like a GoPro. This is the first xiaomi I don't install gcam on.
I had a Mi 11 Ultra in 2021 but it broke after 2 months and requested a refund.
Last month I bought Mi 10 Ultra used for 320€. Very good deal, but.. taking consideration of being a used phone let me says these thoughts..
Cons first:
The fingerprint sensor doesn't work Calibration missing, suspected that it had a screen replaced, bought the 4 in 1 Calibration tool RL-071B(Yellow striped instead, wonder if thats the issue) and i cant manage to calibrate it on CTI menu, tried dozens of times, white paper black paper, diferent positions of the finger, diferent fingers, disabled dark mode, bright room, dark room, replaced twrp persist.img from stock and custom roms, tried diferent roms, official, xiaomi.eu. only havent rooted the device yet.
It's 3 step calibation, "Put flesh flat", "Put black flat" and "Put flesh chart horizontaly", and most of the error is "1505 bad point cluster".
I saw tones of videos of people succeding it but I grow tired of this and almost lost hope, most local repair shops in my city don't even know these workarounds.
So i'm only using pattern and facial unlock sadly. If anyone want to help me find another solution for the fingerprint, PM me.
The camera while using either Xiaomi.eu or oficial china stock miui 13.0.4.0/13.0.5.0, Miui 12/A10 12.0.9.0 have camera focus issues. Just tonight on 13.0.5.0 xiaomi.eu recorded a video at night and it keeps loosing focus and take too long to recover with objects more then at 3 meter distance.
Sometimes even close objects and specially in low light.
The battery charges from 5% to 100% in 40min with 120w charger (i have a 120w chinese charger and a 120w european charger both bought by the previous user) in 13.0.4.0/13.0.5.0. Read somewhere that from 12.0.6.0 to 12.0.9.0 Xiaomi started to cut down on charging speed. making the 120w useless. This is mostly a 67w charger time like the Mi 11 Ultra. Maybe to avoid damaging the battery since its a Li-polimer and not a Si-O2 like the Mi 11/12 Ultra.
I have the Xiaomi 80W wireless charger adapter when i bought the mi 11 ultra but i don't like cause it makes abit of noise while chargind by blowing fans to it to keeping the device cool down. Charging times are around 1hour 30min more or less.
Display autobrightness during low light is too low but this is a simpthom of most Xiaomi devices. (fixed by flashing a fix but might lead to bootloop on certain roms)
Sadly, only way to use stock navigation gestures with third party launchers like my Nova launcher was to use a Android 10 rom, now i have to resort to keep navigation buttons and use 3rd party navigation gestures like "My Gestures" if i want to use Nova launcher. This is fixed in Samsung devices including my Galaxy Note 10+ Android12. Damn you Xiaomi..
I don't use Android 10 cause Bluetooth might glitch as it happen to me where i couldnt turn it on on miui 12, if you dont update Bluetooth and the update only happens in miui 13 to my knowledge. Fixed it by flashing miui 13/A12 again.
Longest wait i ever had on unlocking bootloader, 360 hours, my Mi 11 Ultra was around 168 hours back then.
Pros now:
Excelent detail of cameras ofc. Specialy during day shots the automatic swtich to ultrawide for macros is great (Missing that option on Mi 11 ultra back then)
The ultrawide lens is so wide that need to have special care not to put my fingers in front of them. xD
And the Zoom lens has OIS and its good. But there were alof of misconceptions that it was a 10x zoom but it ain't its 120mm so its closer to 5x, the good thing it's a 48mp zoom so it can binn zoom shots for extra detail.
The curve display is not that curved, like some curved smartphones, which is a good thing to avoid acidental touches and the Miui setting also helps on that.
The display brightness outdoor during sunlight is also good.
I had a Galaxy Note 10+ and i liked the Vivid colors option and for the mi 10 ultra to have the same kind of colors they need to be in "saturated option, Warm temperature".
My used battery is showing excelent quality in settings and it's lasting a good ammount. I have everything turn on (120hz, Dual Wifi(see bellow), Bluetooth on with Honor magic watch 2 connected and Health app with no battery optimization, location on, dark mode on, NFC on, Always on display with mountain superwallpaper on, exception is mobile data off).
With accubattery is showing bettween 7hour20min use and now recently with xiaomi.eu 13.0.5.0 it's showing 8hours30min but it's probably still updating to my use since i flashed it)
The sound is loud (not as loud as Mi 11 Ultra is i recall) and has a good balance between stereo speakers.
The Equalizer options with Bluetooth earbuds and probably work with usb-c are amazing. Lets you Amp those your earbuds to levels i rarely see in other phones, and lets you choose Xiaomi earbuds presets even if they are not Xiaomi earbuds like my Soundcore Life A2 NC. It's an amazing feature to be honest. The virtual surround option there is mostly a gimmick and adds abit of eco.
Wifi range is trully wonderful, i had several phones, Sony, Samsung and a Vivo Nex S xD and none compare to the MI 10/11 Ultras, My opinion is probably based by the restrictions of Specific Absorption Rate(SAR) that in Europe and the US has, that limits wifi and network quality and on China these must be diferent. This is the radiation that the phones produce. If i ever get cancer you can say i told you so... just kiding really.
My Galaxy note 10+ was always leaving me in a bad spot when it comes to that where i couldn't show my friends a proper youtube video cause it was always loading.
Despite not metting my country requirments for 5g and 4g networks, missing 4g B20 and 5G N78 i still have good signal quality and 5g connects alot of times in my city. Never done a speed test cause my traffic is very limited but no problem watching a 1080p youtube video, and i had issues with my 4g Galaxy Note 10+.
Haptic feedback motor is also very good, not as good as Mi 11 Ultra, but it only works for MIUI UI and not youtube videos or games for example to my knowledge.
There are hidden options that can be recalled using the App called Miui Hidden settings from NetVor.
These hidden settings include Dual Wifi that was only Mi 11 Ultra and connect to a 2.4g and 5G wifi at same time to have better speeds and stable connection, or have 2 diferent wifi at home and stay connected to them all the time. At my home i have 1gb speeds and im getting 550-720mb wifi speeds but with dual wifi 2.4gz+5ghz i get 850mb.
They let you enable better HDR videos if that works (not sure) and also enable the never enabled tecnology called MEMC for smoother videos (also not sure it works properly).
That's it.
Despite some mishaps it's a wonderful device, if one day i grow tired of it and want to buy another phone it's going to be hard to sell if fingerprint is not working properly.
So since the OnePlus 9 pro came out I couldn't but notice that the main/selfie camera is the same as our "beloved" 8 pro but if I understood correctly that hasselblad tweaked the 9 pro's camera app. Or was it just the glass?
Anywho is there any difference between the OnePlus 9 pro's camera app and our 8 pro?
I personally do not know. However, I do not believe that they will ever make anything good again. Who the heck needs or wants a frant facing camera, anyway? I mean are we 13-16 year old girls trying to get as many STD's as we can before we hit the wall?
Well personally I love a good front facing camera especially with a wide angle one with a good aperture but that will never happen....
After seeing what op9p has to offer I think OnePlus has lost its touch and my experience with the op8p isn't helping either..
Is anyone working on a port of the APK?
I don't think the hardware is anything to do with the company they collaborated with, so if it's software then it could be portable?
Maybe
