I've been trying to root my OnePlus 8 Pro for the first time. I've followed various guides provided on this site as well as others. Every time after flashing the patched img, I check root and I'm not rooted. I don't understand why.
Also when checking SafetyNet I get API error, basicintegrity and ctsprofile both fail and evalType is N/A.
If anyone is willing to help, that would be great.

TWRP does not work with Android 11
File patch I tried but then the device does not boot.
I also do not have BOOT.IMG available for patching can only try via RECOVERY.IMG and MAGISK.
Do not use STOCK ROM
Or do I have to use one of the STOCK BOOT OOS files although I use Lineage ?

Hello,
I'm the proud owner of a KIW-L21 (Europe Honor 5x), but with all the bloatware and the lack of privacy in the default rom, I'm a little sad.
To fix this, as you could have guessed I'll need to root the phone (install AFwall + Xposed + XPrivacy, right?).
I plan to unlock the smartphone as soon as emui . huawei . com starts to work for me.
Anyway, I'd be happy to test custom recoveries, kernels/roms if you want help from a L21 user.
My first stop would be custom recovery, so who should I work with in order to bring TWRP for the KIW-L21 (and not the L24) to a working state? or do you think the L24 recovery would be working for the L21?
Thank you in advance.
I've installed twrp l24 and there was a fictional mouse in the middle of a screen, hard to explain. I was wondering if you could flash twrp 3.0 directly without installing l24 version and see what happens? https://twrp.me/devices/huaweihonor5x.html
For that you would need to flash supersu zip through the bootloader (if you prefer app version of twrp) or install .img file from bootloader
A lot of people said that xposed doesn't work; this was for l24 version, don't know if it will work on l21.
We have some threads that may interest you -

Thanks for the link.
For information, the emui huawei com unlock procedure described here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/development/root-kiw-l24-usa-kiwi-t3305190 steps 1 through 7) also works for the KIW-L21.
Next step is the recovery.
For information, flashing twrp following the procedure described here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/development/root-kiw-l24-usa-kiwi-t3305190 steps 8 through 11) also works for the KIW-L21.
Please expect a lots of glitches with the interface, but with a lot of patience, you can flash your zips (for example SuperSU described in the steps 11 to 13).
Next step is the privacy tools' installation: Installation of AFWall+ + AdAway + Xposed framework

I made a page on PHH wiki for treble GSI flashing. I was able to get the Lineage and AOSP working. Most features work. I am unable to test phone features as i use this to play games only. i have set up instruction to get working to a point. This is for people who have 8.0 and boot loader unlocked

On latest rr v18 wifi didn't work for me. I flashed rr worked ok but couldn't get gapps installed. I tried installing twrp and flashing gapps. But wouldn't boot. Also I flashed magisk ended up in a boot loop. Thought I might have bricked my device. Flashed stock recovery and did a factory reset. Still wouldn't boot. I couldn't get back into fastboot. Finally with power plus vol up and vol down took me to install update recovery. From there I held power plus vol down to get to fastboot and was about to install twrp and restore a backup of emui. Treble is definitely not for beginners. Know what your doing and do some research before you proceed.
TREBLE IS STILL VERY EXPERIMENTAL. NOT STABLE.

Now when i boot into Recovery i can't install LineageOS for the OnePlus 5 because of Error 7. Is there a special TWRP for Oneplus 5T and Oneplus 5 or is it the same for both devices? Yes, there are 2 ways.
1. Flash OOS from bootloader, or via adb sideload. Else use MSM Tool to flash OOS. Then lock bootloader, and unlock again to flash the TWRP. After that all back to normal.
2. Lock the bootloader and unlock, then flash CodeworkX Force Encrypt TWRP from the same link. Format data and try.
#1 will make it all clean with no need of vendor again.
#2 will have the need to flash vendor image again.
is it stable? did u have navigation gestures hahaha just wondering
what didnt work?
Most works. Microphone didn't work and sometimes bluetooth.
Hello, I want to know if I can convert my POCO M3 from global rom to EU rom and then root it after converting and also what are the necessary steps. Thank you. (my bootloader will be unlocked in 6 days.)
Yes, it is possible. Do you mean the official EEA rom or xiaomi.eu custom rom?
For EEA rom you need to flash the fastboot version with MiFlash tool. For xiaomi.eu you can follow the guide from this forum.
For root you need to patch the stock boot.img (you can extract it from the fastboot rom) with Magisk Manager, copy to your computer and flash it with fastboot, because there is no TWRP recovery yet.
When you are going to flash, make shure to keep the bootloader unlocked. This is very important because you will brick your phone if you relock your phone with an other rom than the original one.

Hi Friends. i found a link by Havoc Rom Developer how to Flash Havoc 3.12 GSI on Poco M3 with a Super Gsi Flasher tool. unfortunately it did not work for me. But i tried the same tool with the following GSI and every one of them worked on my Poco M3. i am now currently using Pixel Experience Plus on my Poco M3.
1) Lineage 18.1 ( Android 11 )
2) Pixel Experience Plus ( Android 10 )
3) CR Droid ( Android 10 )

Procedure.....
1) I Flashed TWRP Recovery in fastboot mode.
2) Then i flashed EU MIUI Rom on Poco M3 with TWRP Recovery.
3) Then I Flashed a Patched VBMETA image in fastboot mode.
4) Then restarted Poco M3 on EU Rom.
5) I did not register any Google or other account on EU Rom and i did not connect it to the net.
6) I copied SUPER GSI FLASHER on the Phone Memory partition.
7) I copied GSI Image that i wanted to flash .... into the Phone Memory Partition.
8) Rename the GSI image copied above as system.img
9) Then rebooted into recovery.
10) Clicked on Install and selected SUPER GSI FLASHER.
11) In about 2 minutes it said to reboot..........I Rebooted.....Rom running perfectly on POCO M3

Hello, I updated my OP 6T to OOS 11.1.2.2 which I believe is the latest update right now. Then I tried to install TWRP through Fastboot with the intention to install RevengeOS 4.0. I never got as far as installing the ROM. Anyway, it failed to boot into twrp and now I can only get into Fastboot. Also, I have had the bootloader unlocked from the beginning. Is there a way to use Fastboot to boot into a working twrp to flash OOS 11.1.2.2 firmware file that I have? Thanks
Try using the img and zip from this post, it's the only one that worked for me on OOS 11.1.2.2
