SUDDEN UPDATE STUCK AT 23.99% - Redmi 7A Questions & Answers

Hey everyone.
I live in Europe and it's currently 4:10 am in the morning as I'm writing this. I woke up at over 2 o'clock in the morning, all of a sudden, and I say all of a sudden because I very rarely wake up at this time. The thing is, when I wake up, the first thing we all do is look at the phone. So I look at the phone and see that my phone is updating and I don't get why. The evening before, no update was downloaded and I was not notified at all. Seriously, there was NO notification about an upcoming update. So I see the percentage is 23.99%. I am waiting and waiting. Fast forward 2 hours later, I cannot do anything. I cannot enter fastboot mode, I cannot enter recovery mode, I cannot install ADB and ADB fastboot drivers. The computer does not recognize the connection and it seems that my phone cannot be charged.
When I try to enter recovery or fastboot mode, the phone gets me to update again. So when I press volume up + power button OR when I press volume down + power button, it does not matter. The phone will shut off. I will have to restart and then the update starts at 0% until it gets stuck at 23.99% again.
If it helps: I've been using this phone since December 2019. The last update was I think 2 or 3 months ago. It was also an official MIUI 12 update. The phone is NOT rooted and has all the original apps. It's also the original stock firmware. I also tried to flash it but no computer in my household recognizes the device.
What can I do?
EDIT: the only thing my computer recognized as a connection and installed is Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E (COM5).

I faced the same problem. My phone was stuck at 23.99% in an OTA update

Probably bricked LG G2 running SlimSaber

So basically this rom is awesome but it had only one problem. When I plugged my phone in the charger while it was turned off, it bootlooped until I restarted with the cable off. It was no big deal and nothing bad ever came out of it.
Yesterday my batter ran out while I was asleep and when I woke up it was already turned off. I, absentmindly, tried to turn it on, LG Logo, off again. Did it one more time, nothing happened, realized it's out of battery. Plugged in charger, try to turn it off/on, usual bootloop happens. Say ok and proceed with what I always did, phone gets past LG Logo, goes into SlimLP boot animation and for the first it has just stayed there. No restarts, just endless loading. Longest i Left it on to load was about 45 minutes. Never got back on.
Apart from that, I think that for some reason my recovery got uninstalled somehow, by itself, a few weeks ago. I only noticed this because before, when I wanted to get into recovery, I pressed the usual buttons and it went straight into TWRP. Now the same buttons take me to the "Factory reset screen". I know that everyone says to just go ahead and press power, but I am afraid, since I am not sure if TWRP is still functioning. This happened to me another time on the same phone, and when I confirmed the factory reset, it factory resetted.
My problem here is that I want to get my music and photos. I'm only able to enter that factory reset screen and download mode. Can I "flash" twrp safely from download mode? Should I use Flash Tool 2014 and Normal flash(which says it keeps the data) a stock g2 rom? Can I mount my phone to the computer in download mode to copy my files? I want the most risk-free approach.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, first If you can enter download mode I think you can flash kdz (Kitkat) file to stock using Flash Tool 2014. But I had this problem once and the keep data flashing didn't work (stucked at 50%), I ended up flashed it with other option (erased all data).
2. You can try the "Factory reset" nice and easy.
I think you can't see files on the device unless you enter Twrp.
It's wise to backup your phone on the computer montly or so, thank you.
I went ahead and nuked my download mode using the SRK tools. Then got access to fastboot, through which I booted to twrp and then I could move my files. All's fine, flashed my ROM again and it's going better than ever.

P8 Lite Kirin Single SIM stuck at bootlogo, can't enter bootloader or recovery...

Hi guys,
Was trying to remove the branded rom that came with the phone, neither method of updating worked so i flashed via fastboot the boot, recovery, cust and system images, everything ok the first time, afterwards i tried a different rom and the phone got stuck at the bootlogo, coudn't turn it off, do nothing, left it and i went to sleep, of course the battery died.
Now the phone led is always blinking red no matter how much time i leave charging or connected to pc and can't enter fastboot mode or recovery or update 3 buttons..?
Any ideas? Is it completly dead?
PS: Later was able to turn it off and now it turned itself on (because its connected to charger) and the led isn't blinking anymore, still stuck on bootlogo and nothing happens...

Hi,you can try what i post here it might work
If you cannot get into fastboot or recovery, try connect it via USB to a PC, then hold volume + power up, release power up when it turns on but keep holding vol up.

Hey! It seems like that you hard bricked your device! Is your P8Lite still under warrenty? Rooting IS allowed in the Huawei warrenty! If you dont have warrenty, Ask some proffesionals.
Have a nice day!
P.S: Im living in Germany. Thats why my english is so bad.

Nokia 5 stuck at boot screen

My Nokia 5 suddenly got stucked at boot screen where it shows "Nokia" in a black background. I haven't done anything like downloading malicious apps/rooting. Just today a system update appeared and I haven't clicked it yet. Its getting hot.
I was using cleanit inside shareit to clean the cache then suddenly my phone hang so I pressed the power button then it doesn't open. After a few seconds it opened and showed that "Nokia" boot screen. I haven't touched the system update yet since I'm not connected to a wifi.
What can I do with this? Non-removable battery and should I just wait for it to get drained or what? It's the global version from Saudi Arabia
Fixed by soft reset
So, I tried to soft reset it by plugging it, press/hold vol up + power btn at the same time. I restarted properly. But still, I don't know why that happened, is it advisable for me to system update?
I have an update this morning and it works well, just update ok. Poor you.

oneplus 6t is stuck in the boot loader is unlocked" message and takes no input

I did a relatively normal flash of both TWRP and root with Magisk, no issues booting. However this message came and after 5 minutes didn't go away so I fiddled around and tried to turn it off (couldn't). The phone takes no input and nothing I do allows it to enter fastboot or recovery. ADB and Fastboot do not recognize it since it's basically in a pre-boot state. I waited 20 hours for the battery to finally drain just to get this message right after I got it charged enough to boot again.
Any help? I just got this phone yesterday hahahha.

Hold down the power and volume up buttons.
This is a known issue when running Magisk, etc. The phone is not bricked.
Do not attempt to charge with the phone off.

S5e stuck in boot loop

I recently got a wifi model S5e and I believe the previous owner did not know what he was doing, and tried to updated the firmware through Odin and messed it up. Whenever the tablet is plugged into power or a USB port, it will boot to "An error has occured while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recover function in the Smart Switch PC Software" screen, then restart itself after a couple seconds. It does this the entire time it is plugged in. I can hold the VOL keys then plug it in and I get to the "Custom OS" screen, but it does the same thing and reboots after a couple seconds. Is there anything I can do to get it to stay on long enough to flash new firmware to it?

Call Samsung at 1-800-SAMSUNG. I messed up my tablet the same way. I had someone local look at it, but they couldn't fix it. I sent it to Samsung and they fixed it for free, but only because it was still under warranty. They can check your serial number to see if yours is still under warranty.
Seeing as they have a customOS installed on their device. Samsung won't touch it as it has been rooted, which breaks the warranty.
Reboot to your "custom recovery" and flash that "custom os" again?
