Is there anyway I can install magisk root on EMUI 5 .360 software ?
Bump! I'm interested too
Sure.
Just flash the magisk zip in twrp.
Nope. On my C10B380 - not really working. Magisk breaks pin/password/fingerprint, so, for example, no Android Pay.
Hi people!
I tried to unlock bootloader of my p9 lite
VNS-L31, android 7.0, stock emui 5.0.x
Got the code, unlocked, installed many twrps
to see wich was the best one to flash magisk 19.
All good, but everytime i did a magisk flash,
the phone didnt reboot properly.
(Got bootloop, sometimes got the reset phone screen entering a password {??} along with red errors in all twrps) im sure i did all correctly, this isnt the first time
I do a root on a smartphone... the point is:
I think that magisk is what causes these errors and
Forces me to hard reset the device to use it again (dload or huawey extractor)
i need magisk 19+ first because i need a systemless root, then i need many magisk modules
On my phone. Also tryed with custom rom based on
Emui 5.0.x through meticulus twrp 5.2, elite 3.1.1 twrp.
No way to install magisk without getting errors.
--- 》So if you guys could give me some tips to fix this issues, i would appreciate it so much. It could be my bad or maybe i need to do something else in order to get magisk working. 2 days trying, need help of the best modders here. Thanks in advance to all, and best regards from italy! :good:
Hi All, I was on 9.0.14 and now I installed the latest OOS 9.0.16 through TWRP. All went well except i flashed magisk root.
I flashed the latest magisk 19.3 and 19.1 and all got me stuck on oneplus loading screen the red circle and white circle turning infinitely.
Then i tried magisk 18.1, everything loaded fine but magisk seems to be causing errors and not rooted. as i tried to grant nova launcher root, the app freezed and got stuck and force closed.
Also other apps that requires root are not able to request root.
any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
What update file did you use? Full?
Did you wipe cache/dalvik?
Did you reapply twrp, then magisk?
At least that's what I did and it worked (and still does).
What twrp version?
OOs 9.016 + Magisk 19.3 (+ xXx 7.7 + Omega Kernel) working here for 2 weeks without any problems.
My suggestion would be to reboot in recovery (TWRP), reflash full OOs.zip, flash TWRP.zip, reboot in recovery (TWRP), repeat all this once more then flash Magisk 19.3 Zip and reboot system.

Use magisk uninstaller in twrp. Then flash magisk 19.4 canary.

I did as you suggested and had the same issue stuck at oneplus circles. I then tried to flash 18.1 it made me boot back into the system but root not working just magisk manager with just 2 options, in the menu side, settings magisk and settings.
Then I would try to start from scratch.
Means wipe everything, flash full OOS and then magisk.
@Shady282
Have you got it fixed? I am in the same situation and its frustrating that I am still unable to get root.
Tried flash magisk 19.4 canary no success. Still stuck in bootloop.

I've recently installed a custom rom(finally) on my redmi note 7, and after around a week I decided to install magisk and root it aswell... When i first installed magisk through twrp it booted successfully into android, and after trying to install a module and reboot my phone it got into a bootloop, is there any way to solve it?

I too had the same problem a few days ago. I had tried to update magisk but after flashing the latest version via twrp, the phone got stuck on bootloop. I uninstalled magisk using the uninstaller zip file then flashed the old version I had before (v19.3) and everything was back to normal.
Could anyone help me install Magisk on Android 11 Beta 2? Whenever I flash the Magisk-patched boot.img, my device goes into a boot-loop. Cant really find anything that would guide me to the solution.
Did you try with the last Magisk canary?
Yep, same result.
