[Q] Samsung Note 4 Screen Broken

Hi Guys, I need a suggestion to fix Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (N910H) broken screen. I dropped my note 4 on a hard floor and broke the screen. Screen dont turn on but i can hear all the notifications and i m able to receive notifications in my android wear.
I need to suggestion to fix the broken screen, is it good to fix the phone through samsung service centre? how much it costs to fix it? or shall i fix it through local service centre who are available in mall.
Please share your experience so that i can fix this screen asap.
I always had issues with those mall repair/sales mob, either they used non genuine parts or they managed to scratch the housing. At least if you take to SS youll be getting genuine parts and maintain your warranty but it may cost a bit more.

I called Samsung US support number and it looks like Samsung dont support international variant phones even though its manufactured by Samsung! I m not sure how to get this fixed from Samsung now.
Try icracked.com
Samsung Repair Department Center provides customer with prorated charges for the screens if the phone is within 3 months of purchase.
The prorated costs are: 1) Samsung OEM Note 4 Screen Replacement ($80).
2) Additional Supplies, such as adhesive glue and screen coating ($25).
3) Labor Costs ($10).
Total Cost is around $115.
If your phone is not within 3 months of purchase: 1) Samsung OEM Note 4 Screen Replacement ($110)
2) Additional Supplies, such as adhesive glue and screen coating ($25).
3) Labor Costs ($10).
Total Cost is around $145.

Service for international variant in the US?

Hi all,
I cracked my screen and need to replace it, however Samsung US doesn't want to do it and told me to contact Samsung from the country of origin for repair. I have an Iraqi variant but can't get Samsung Iraq on the phone. I contacted local repair shops and was quoted $399 for a screen replacement but without guaranty that the phone will still be waterproof.
Has any one successfully had their GS7E serviced in the US and if so, how?
Thanks!

Buying brand new note 4 from eBay

Hey guys,
So last week I bought a note 4 off eBay. My last note 4 was lost on a night out in September (21st, never forget ) so I have been using my s4 ever since. I miss the size and display of the note 4, hence i bought a new one.
Here's the link:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282075151295
My last note 4 was the SM-N910F,which I also purchased from eBay (UK seller, it was an auction). The note 4 that i bought last week also claims to be an SM-N910F, the European/international version. The seller is Chinese and has sold a good few of these, he also has great feedback (see link). The phone is said to be brand new, in original box with all OEM accessories. I was feeling a bit iffy, I don't know why, in the days after I bought it so I messaged the seller asking about the authenticity etc. Part of the reply worried me:
". . . . . . . . . . I would like to remind you again, our Note 4 is 100% original from Samsung, but please note that our Note 4 is USA model + software unlocked(Rooted), as described in our item specific . . . . . . . . . ."
Now in the item description, the model number is SM-N910F, and not one of the American models, like SM-N910V or SM-N910A. But the seller says it an American version. So there's that. Also the seller says that the software is "unlocked(rooted)". This is my main concern. Is the seller simply trying to tell me that the phone is unlocked, or is he telling me that he has taken the phone out of the box, rooted it and flashed some kind of custom ROM on it? Just take a quick look at the link and have a look at it on ebay and tell me what you think.
Many thanks.
I do not trust these so called sellers selling "brand new" phones. The phone is brand new and already rooted? Its a US model claiming to be a European model?
Let me tell you what you bought...you bought a refurbished phone (refurbished in China) and because the US models are less wanted than the EU models (lack of Hotspot) they sell these as EU models to increase the price.
These refurbished phones are "brand new" but are in reality refurbished with cheap clone parts from China. Its big business in China. I bought a Note 2 like this...after 2 months I had touchscreen problems and the 3G is not working...
Download the app phone info, it will give you the manufacturing date (mainboard), model number and a lot more if your phone is rooted. It will also tell you if its a V, F, or A model...
You can simply go to download mode and check the real model of the device.. i also bought one the seller claimed it's N910F everything looked okay but when i went to download mode it was N910S (sprint) immediately i returned the device to the seller and received my refund..

Does Samsung do international warranty?

I'm in Australia, and bought my S7 edge dual sim from an eBay seller who imported the phone from HK (i believe).
Looks like I'm having a hardware problem with the phone (bought it in August 2016), and I don't want to send it back to HK for repair, and there's a Samsung shop near my place, do you think they will accept my phone and get it fixed?
Not really sure about the warranty.
Any aussies with similar experience?
I don't think Samsung offers international warranty. In doesn't at least in India.
I think Samsung offers regional warranty, not global.

My s8 U1

So seeing all of the people with s8 problems and GPS I can tell you that my S8U1 model is working flawlessly. I have the August update. Now here is the thing about my journey. I had a sprint s8 which was garbage. The motherboard died in about June with mmc issues so what I did was order a replacement motherboard and rear glass. I ordered the unlocked U1 motherboard from Russia which was ironically purchased in the US direct from Samsung.
It was a simple drop in replacement. I swapped the camera lenses and sensor bezel from the original glass instead of using the Chinese one that came with the back glass. (Pro tip)
I got the replacement board for 50$ shipped off ebay.
While in the phone I also replaced the battery with a higher output battery I got for 12 bucks off amazon.
NOW that being said, I want to reinvest a bit more time into this phone and get it rooted. It's been quite a few years since I've been in the rooting game and I want to know what the current pitfalls are and is the U1 easier to root?
